Modern and clean hotel with all the necessary facilities. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Hot items served for breakfast could be improved and increased. Very close to the Acropolis and other tourist attractions. Highly recommended and would stay here again!

We arrived on Saturday afternoon and checked in smoothly Room was a good size with 2 comfortable single beds, location was perfect 5 minutes walk from the Parthenon and 3-4 mins from tube station. Reception was helpful when needed, and sorted out laundry for pressing efficiently. Breakfast the next day was fresh and plentiful all in all a perfect place which was great value for money

Stayed here with 4 children and 3 adults for 4 nights. We had 2 rooms on one of the upper floors and the views were awesome! There was plenty of room and everyone had a bed. The mattress I had was a little dipped in the middle but still was somewhat comfortable. Rooms were very clean with plenty of room. The best part of this was the great breakfast. Would recommend this place if you are traveling with a family.

This hotel couldn't be better located, so close to the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, and a large pedestrian area with many, many restaurants. This small hotel has attractive public areas, an excellent breakfast that features both local and traveler favorites, and a friendly and helpful desk staff. Our room was small but clean and comfortable, however the bathroom was very small and the shower required great care. The floor of the shower was small and on two levels, so one could either stan... This cosy and modern hotel hasn't got the biggest or amazing rooms but its very clean, it has everything you need and the best thing about it is the location. Whether it is your first time in Athens or not the hotel is located close to everything you need. The Acropolis and the Acropolis museum are literally 1 min walk and it is 10-15 min walk from Monastiraki Square (Monastiraki is a flea market neighborhood in the old town of Athens, Monastiraki square and its streets are dubbed "flea market" ... I honestly was very surprised (in a good way) about this hotel. Lots of other reviews complained about small outdated rooms. However, I found these rooms to be slightly larger than most rooms in London hotels. The rooms were also exceptionally clean with nice simple decor. They even had a tub and small balcony. Additionally breakfast was also very good, especially for the price. I had no complaints about it. The hotel staff are all very helpful and pleasant. However, by far the best part is the ... Excellent mid-range option for exploring Athens! Location is perfect, just a stone's throw from the Acropolis museum & metro station; the neighbourhood is pleasant and peaceful, some cafes & restaurants nearby and only a couple of minutes walk to Plaka (which is more lively). Very clean and with tasteful modern decor, friendly & helpful service. Nice buffet breakfast (but breakfast area can get busy, so better to have breakfast early...). The sister hotel round the corner has restaurant, bar & t... Read more

Good hotel in the safe neighborhood very close to Acropolis and Plaka. There are good restaurants in the area. You can walk to the main shopping street in 15 mins. The hotel serves a good breakfast. The rooms and the bathroom are clean. The bed in out room was a two singe beds put together but we did not feel that as a problem. The hotel staff is attentive and tries their best.

The room and overall facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly, nice and accommodating. MONDA at the dining room/breakfast serves excellent breakfast selection that a guest needs to start the day to explore Athens. Monda makes sure we enjoy our breakfast by offering us a variety of healthy flavorful Greek starter food items. I would highly recommend Philippos Hotel for its great service and location.

The value and service the Philippos offers is outstanding. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the hotel was clean and the rooms well kept and nicely proportioned with good clean shower rooms with bath tubs. Our room came with a massive balcony and a partial view of the stunning Acropolis (ask for a room with a view when you book ‚?? you might get lucky). The d√©cor in the rooms is a bit 1970s / dated but that‚??s a very small criticism and something you‚??ll find in many other Greek city 3* ... Read more
