I went to Greece with one of my best friends. We stayed in a room on the fourth floor for 4 nights. It was great! Great service and great views. The breakfast was delicious and we had dinner there one night when we were too tired to venture out. It was yummy too. My only "complaint" is the wifi I was really slow but that was no big deal. Some on here have had concerns about the neighborhood. As two women traveling we never had a concern at anytime of day. What a great hotel!!

This hotel is lovely. The rooms are nicely decorated, the shower is huge and the breakfast buffet was very nice. The two best attributes, however, are the staff, which provide an unparalleled level of service, and the location, very near everything you want to see and do in Athens. Don't be put off by the slightly seedy look of the neighborhood in daytime. It comes to life in the evenings, with small streets lined with cafes, restaurants and bars. Ask to borrow one of their many travel book... Read more

We spent three nights in a standard room on the 1st floor. Our room was on the small side but very comfortable. There are robes, plush towels and great Greek toiletries. We had a mini bar and room safe as well as a chair and desk. The bathroom was very modern and the shower was the standout. Great shower heads and very clean. They could think about a redesign of the sink and storage for wash bags and makeup bags, there wasn't much space to put things. The food at this hotel is fantastic! The Gre... Read more

Very nice boutique hotel. Modern and updated. Perfect location, walk to all but not a busy street. Our room was large and very clean. Breakfast was also perfect. The service at O&B is the stand out! The front desk provided excellent restaurant choices avoiding typical tourist traps! Great info on walking to sites, arranged early am taxi service to airport and provided box breakfast on departure, very thoughtful. Would stay here again without hesitation.

This hotel was lovely, clean, quite cool, comfortable rooms and in a quiet backstreet. Staff were friendly and they bring you a glass of water on check in (why don't all hotels do this!), then delivered a little plate of appertivo to my room as a welcome. The only downside for me was that the hotel is in the area around the flea market. The streets were a bit dirty with lots of graffiti, closed up shops and homeless people. As a girl travelling by myself, I didn't feel entirely safe walking aro... Read more

This is a luxury boutique hotel in a gritty neighborhood, with a sex shop on the corner to mark your turn coming back from most of the city's attractions. It is not a dangerous neighborhood. Quite the opposite; it is an authentic residential neighborhood that you are lucky enough to enjoy for a few days. The Acropolis and Plaka are both easy walks. We also hit the nearby food markets on our way to the Archeological Museum, which is a bit of a walk but hardly a struggle. Best of all, you walk out... Read more

Arete and Pavlos went above and beyond during our stay at the hotel! I was distressed when my daughter's nebulizer broke at the beginning of our Greece vacation and she uses it daily for breathing treatments. Arete secured a rental nebulizer for us and even arranged for it to be delivered to the hotel for us! I was beyond grateful! Our hotel was in a very convenient location for sight seeing, comfortable rooms and I loved the breakfast in the mornings!

We stayed at O&B for five nights in April and were given a free upgrade to the Grand Acropolis suite - it was amazing! Lounge and balcony overlooking the Acropolis, comfy and quiet bedroom and really good air-conditioning. We loved spending time in the evening sitting on the balcony with a drink just taking in the view. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with a few questions we had and the food was also of a very high standard. Having read the reviews we were a bit worried about... Read more

I have to say, the other reviewers have it right. This is a great little hotel with great rooms, a great breakfast buffet and a great staff in a run down "looking" neighborhood. The hotel is very convenient to train stations and the pedestrian path around the back side of the acropolis. While the neighborhood looks sketchy, I never felt "unsafe". This is Athens and there are signs of blight and graffiti EVERYWHERE. The staff in my view make up for any shortcomings of the street. These are ... Read more

They are great about getting you taxis and giving you tips. If coming from the US they will have cell phone adaptors for you so no need to buy one. O&B is in the Psiri area just off Ermou and about 15 minutes walk to Acropolis and a dozen other key destinations. Nice boutique hotel with good service - and breakfast is included! Highly recommended for travelers that want amenities without spending too much and like being in more of a neighborhood setting instead of the main tourist area.

We stayed 2 nights at the O and B in Athens at the end of a month long European vacation. The hotel is located right in the city, so the taxi ride in from the airport wasn't cheap, about 35 Euros. The staff were very welcoming as soon as we arrived, and although our rooms were not ready, they brought us cold water, which was very welcome as it was a very hot day, and stored our bags for us. This place is minutes by foot to scores of outdoor cafes, the flea market, a pedestrian walkway to the Acropolis, the tourist haven of Plaka and anything else you could need. Yes, it could be a little off putting to some travelers with graffiti and a (discreet) sex shop on the corner, but Athens is covered in graffiti and I remember NY's Times Square in the old days, so this was tame. Beautiful rooms but air conditioning was being fixed that day so some of the time it was hot. Breakfast was unbelievably good. Was advised by staff to use the subway and I was robbed. I, like so many others, read the reviews on Trip Advisor and said, "what can be wrong with the fifth highest ranked hotel in Athens?" Well, a lot. The hotel itself is nice, rooms are comfortable, bathrooms nicely designed and new, and staff some of the best I encountered. In fact, because of the staff I gave this property an extra star for a total of 2 stars (while its staff deserves 5 stars). The one huge issue with this hotel that even the most professional staff cannot address is that it is ... Read more

Athens was our last spot in Greece for our honeymoon. We are so glad we chose this hotel! The location was great and room was perfect. We were able to walk to all major sight seeing spots with no problem. The shower in the room was a great size. The staff at the hotel was very helpful with restaurant recommendations.

Spent three nights here at the end of our holiday. Location is brilliant for walking everywhere easily to see all the main sights. Excellent advice from front desk upon arrival: get to the Akropolis for 8am! We did - it's a 15 minute walk from the hotel and it was stunning. As we left, an hour and a half later, hordes and hordes of visitors were arriving! Another tip: buy the 30 euros sightseeing tickets before you go to the Akropolis. That way you avoid queuing and you can see the other sights ... Read more

We stayed here for three nights while exploring Athens and we were beyond pleased with our choice. The staff was incredibly friendly, upon our arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and cool refreshments. The room was beautiful with a luxurious bed and spa shower. It felt like we were staying in a five star hotel for a fraction of the price. The free breakfast was phenomenal, with fresh squeezed orange juice and the world's best yogurt. The location was perfect and allowed us to walk to all... Read more

The hotel is very modern, good bathroom and very friendly stuff. The location is close to Acropolis, Agora and other attractions. I booked three rooms and all ended up front of the hotel and lower floor. I stayed two nights at the weekend. It was noise across the street from midnight to 2-3pm. I think one of ground floor unit is used as club at the weekend. People were standing outside talking and smash glass bottles. I recommend you get a room facing back of the hotel if the stay is at the week... Read more

Wonderful stay, wonderful staff!! The rooms are very sizable and the bathroom is very, very nice!! Big shower and very roomy!! We are in Greece to celebrate our anniversary and only had one night in Athens. O&B made our stay very memorable with a welcome tray of fresh fruit, chocolate and bubbly!! The only small con is the bed is a little hard for my taste but it was comfortable enough and we slept well. They do not have irons in the rooms, but the staff is more than happy to press your clothes ... Read more

We stayed one night on the way back home from the islands. They helped arrange transportation from airport which made getting there easier. Someone from the front desk helped us get our bags inside, the front desk worker greeted us warmly then a nice lady gave us glasses of ice water. They were wonderfully intuitive with us! The wonderful front desk person spent time asking our interests then making recommendations with a map. Our bags were in the room before we were! Our room was clean and nice... Read more

I am a world traveler and have stayed in 5 star hotels and well as 3 star hotels. But the O and B is a hit. A NEW Boutique hotel that has it all! Great location, we walked everywhere to see the Plaka and to the Acropolis ! One of my key judgements is the bathroom! This hotel has as close to an American Bathroom as you can come. Our room was a Studio and it was plenty large forour short stay. Good Airconditioning, comfy bed, Stereo/CD Player, TV and WIFI. Wonderful breakfast as good as an... Read more

We spent 2 nights here. The staff are lovely and helpful, the breakfast is simple but yummy. Our room was a good size and was clean and tidy. The hotel is located in a good spot and is easy walking distance to the Acropolis and other attractions in Athens as well as lots of bars and restaurants. Because of this it was quite noisy at night. The only negative I have is that some of the photos on the website give the impression that they have a rooftop terrace looking up to the Acropolis. Thi... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights on this (my 2nd) visit. Right off the bat we were upgraded to a terrific room with awesome Acropolis view from a large balcony (Room 22), and also from the toilet! Yes, you could view the acropolis while sitting on the throne. The bed was fantastic (our best sleep in Greece), the linens luxurious, the room clean and tidy, the shower terrific. The location is slightly off the beaten path, but not far from Monastiraki and Plaka, and the edgy Psiri neighborhood is fun to expl... Read more

We stayed here on our last night in Greece following a trip around the Islands. It is a very modern boutique hotel and has the most comfortable beds we found on the entire vacation. The staff was so welcoming and even brought us up some snacks and drinks to the room after we checked in! The room was beautiful - especially the bathroom. Extremely modern and large with white fluffy bathrobes and Italian toiletries. In the morning, there is an included continental breakfast that was delicious! Brea... Read more

Although we only stayed one night, this hotel exceeded our expectations. The O&B Athens Boutique is a small, modern hotel with charm. The staff was so helpful and attentive--we particularly enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice brought to our room After a long flight from the states, it was so refreshing. But more than that, it showed the attention to detail from the friendly staff. The location is great, near shops, restaurants ,and many of the sites. We would gladly stay again if we retu... The pros: clean and new; helpful, friendly and polite staff; a nice welcome with water upon check-in and some nibbles brought to your room shortly after; good breakfast with a wide-ranging buffet (pastries, bread, fruits, yogurt, cooked fry-up, cakes, cereals), as well as eggs, pancakes and other things cooked fresh to order; clean rooms fitted with pretty much everything you'd need, including robes and slippers, a safe and mini-bar; a fantastic location - in Psiri with lots of restaurants all a... We booked two junior suites with Acropolis view. Rooms were quite clean and decorated on a modern way. But there was a nigh noise coming from air conditioning area , from next roof. We could not sleep at all and it was very annoying. Bathrooms were very clean and modern. We had welcome drinks & appetizers which were delicious. Breakfast was also great with fresh fruits and nuts. Location is good , walking distance to Monastraki square - metro stations. You can find great local restaurants... Read more

This small boutique hotel has helpful staff and big clean rooms with lovely bathrooms. Breakfast is great and they made us up a generous breakfast box on the day if our early departure. Walk up the street to fabulous Psirri for drinks and dinner at a funky bar and/or traditional taverna, or over the road to Monasteriaki or Plaka.
