Hotel is very clean with friendly staff. Breakfast is yoghurt, fruit, meat and cheeses etc 7am-10am. Bar opens at 6pm. View from rooftop is fantastic. Hotel is close to all of the main sights (within walking distance) and has an abundance of cafes and restaurants nearby.

Lovely clean budget hotel . Felt very welcome at this friendly little hotel close to loads of bars and restaurants came with an awesome breakfast with views of the Acropolis thrown in . Has a great roof top to sit on and just absorb the city. Walking distance to everything you want . We will be back .

We went as a couple and had nice room, the only problem was that we had two separate beds. But after the first night, without asking, they gave us a different room with a 2 person bed. Which was really more comfortable. breakfast was at the 7th floor with a great view on the Acropolis, and the breakfast it self was good. The neighborhood where the hotel is in, looks bad but is actually not so bad. We did't had bad experiences, but i can image that a woman doesn't feel safe here So i can reall... Read more

We had a back facing room so no view. But The hotel is really excellent and modern, clean, comfortable bed, good bathroom, and great views from the breakfast room on the 7th floor. Very helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to find my husbands mobile after he left it in a taxi. Very lively and atmospheric location catering to all tastes! We found an amazing market, a really good meze bar and a travel agent that booked cheaper tickets for us than online for the ferry. Flexible chec... Read more

The hotel is very clean. Every day, new towels and room cleaning. The hotel location is excellent. All the monument during walk up to four hours. The Metro is 5 minutes walk. The environment, well, I have to get used to. We were not disturbed, but the houses are empty, little dark. But all we felt safe as everywhere in Greece. What I did not like, I'm sorry, but the coffee was undrinkable for me. A travel tip. Many of the mosquito. Be sure to bring some mosquito alarm .. I suggest you take advan... Read more

The location of the hotel is good for sightseeing as it is located 10 minutes walk from Monisterakis via graffiti ridden streets and derelict properties. We were assured that it is not a dangerous neighbourhood just in need of urban regeneration. The rooms are fine and the shower is suitable for children under 5. The breakfast room and bar are on floor 7 with spectacular views. Breakfast offers many items of average quality. Reception staff are very helpful. The hotel is very clean and new towel... Read more

This is a great hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. The area is a little weird but we walked the area during the day and night and did not have any problems. The hotel offers breakfast with a nice variety of things (cereal, toast, eggs, croissants, coffee, juice and/or tea). The best part is that you can have breakfast while admiring the wonderful view of the acropolis. You can also walk to the acropolis.

We agree with the previous reviews that this neighbourhood is a bit rundown but within a couple of minutes walk you are in some great places. Psiri neighbourhood is known for music, it's just a few minutes to the Plaka, Monastaraki, and Syntagma neighbourhoods including Acropolis, National Gardens, Temple of the Olympian Zeus, Agora, etc. Great restaurants and bars in all these places. During the week the neighbourhood is busy with shops that sell everything from shoes to spices to meat and chee... Read more

Stayed here for one night and had an overall good experience, the room is a bit small but very clean, good and varied breakfast and the staff is helpful. Great rooftop with a view of the city. The only issue is that the neighbourhood is a bit shabby but it is just few minutes walk (less than 5 min') from some great locations as Psirri neighborhood, very close to the Monastiraki area and to Monastiraki metro station. Great restaurants and bars everywhere. Walking distance to the Acropolis. Rec... Read more

Great facilities. Clean. Helpful, friendly and accomodating staff. Only stayed for one night. The room was reasonably spacious and had a balcony over looking a run-down street. Diagonally opposite was a colourfully painted house that's definitely worth a photograph or two. The approach to the hotel is a bit off-putting. It's less than ten minutes from Monastaraki but you have to walk down some pretty run-down streets to get there. Once inside it's a little oasis. There's a stylish lobby with c... Read more

This is a cute little hotel that is close to everything you need. Food market, shopping market, public transit, and there is a square around the corner with live music at night and the best gyro in the world! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good, and the view of the acropolis is nice. I lucked out and got a good view of it every time. The rooftop terrace is nice too with a warm breeze in the evening. I wasn't a big fan of the housekeeping, they took away my spare towel ... Read more

Do not be put off by the street the hotel is in which is not the best. If you come out and take first right there is a square full of bars and cafes no more than 200M. A further 200M takes you to the metro line to Piraeus or the airport. Plaka is 10 minutes away in the same direction so the hotel is very convenient and good value. Stayed here for two nights in early June. Service was very good. The hotel while of older construction, was very clean and well kept with everything in good condition. Staff were helpful and friendly. The neighbourhood does not look great on first impressions, however it is a good example of the lifestyle to be experienced in this area of Greece and gives a good appreciation of the difficulties faced by the local inhabitants. I stayed here for one night in June. While first impressions of the street might not be great, the friendly staff and lovely accomodation made up straight away! The staff were very helpful to point me in the right direction and give me advice. While the building itself may look old, the rooms are quite nice. The breakfast was great with lots to choose from and has a brilliant view of the Acropolis. Lots within walking distance so location is great!

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is 100 meters from "Psaris" and 300 meters from monastiraki/Ermou. Both receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and specious (I stayed alone). The area around the hotel does not look very safe for walking at night (but I guess this is the case for many places of a big city like Athens).

I spent one and my last night at Evripides: a single room with a full size bed and full bath. Room was very clean, black-out curtains and a very good AC. Location wise it's within a 5-10min walk of Monistirakiou Center, and not far from a nice set of local restaurants in "Hero's Square" (crossroads of Aristofanous and Ag. Anargiron).

This hotel was great value and well situated for sight seeing. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms spotlessly clean. Breakfast offered a good variety for all tastes with great views of the Acropolis. The only downside is the hotel is situated in a rather run down area and we didn't always feel safe walking to the hotel especially at night. However there were lots of police around - not sure if this is a good or a bad thing!

I was led to believe this hotel had private parking, I didn't expect this meant the pavement outside the hotel. 2 hours after arriving I had removed everything that could be stolen off the bike to my room. It is a 2 star budget hotel,so don't over expect. The approaching road gives a ghetto feeling, but the hotel itself is satisfactorily clean and safe. When visiting Athens, the Psiri neighborhood is probably the best place to have your base-station. I've visited Athens before and will always try to find a hotel nearby. It's close to the Monastiraki square, the Plaka, metro stations, even the Acropolis is in walking distance. We spent 4 nights at this hotel - three at the beginning of our vacation, and one at the end. As other reviews have already mentioned, some of the streets around the hotel are pretty run down, and at night, quite desolate. The location might not be for everyone (it's perhaps a bit edgy for older couples and families) but we thought it was great. A lovely, practical, budget option. Room was spacious and cool. Good value for money hotel - the location is convenient - only a 15 minute walk to the Acropolis, a 5 minute walk to the nearest metro and just a 2 minute walk around the corner to lots of trendy bars and restaurants. The hotel bar itself has great views of the Acropolis and is very cheap (two euros for a glass of good wine!). Would recommend for a basic but comfortable and convenient stay.

It has always provided spectacular views of the Acropolis, but until this June visitors had to contend with pigeons trying to snaffle your breakfast and the rather chilly winds which blew into the open outside area.
