My flight to as delay and I was going to have a late check in, about 1:30 AM, I called the Hotel to let them know about my flight and they told me that there would be someone to check me in to my room and their was not going to be any extra fee. When I got there check in was fast and friendly, after being on the plane I was hungry and very thirsty, the person at the counter told me the r stay rant was closed and the room didn't have mini bars, but he was very nice and pointed me to a near by mar... We stayed here twice, on the front side of our Grecian vacation and on the backside. Both stays were wonderful. Rooftop bar has a magnificent view of the Parthenon. 5 Minutes to the Monistiraki Metro station. Walk to the Plaka, Parthenon, Archaelogical Museum, University of Athens, Syntagma Square. Breakfast is better spent at a bakery around the corner. Coffee is much better. Try not to get a room on the 6th floor unless you are a late-nighter. They move the chairs on the rooftop bar and ... This hotel was easy to find after getting off the metro. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was very nice, clean, comfortable, and had an amazing view of the acropolis. The rooftop bar was really cool, too. The location was very close to the metro, restaurants, and other attractions. It was an easy walk (15 min?) to the Acropolis. The area outside the hotel felt pretty safe, as there were always people around, but still be careful. We would definitely stay there again.

I picked this hotel based on others' reviews but was surprised at how spartan the rooms were. So to be clear, one picks the hotel for price and location. And the location really is outstanding. Monastiraki Square, shops, wonderful restaurants and patisseries and easy access to the Metro. The rooftop bar has a fantastic view of the Acropolis as do many of the room balconies. My friend described the rooms at "monk cells". They are very basic. No coffee or tea maker, hair dryer that looked ... Read more

There is a lounge on the first floor with free access to 2 computer stations. The roof Garden with a bar is a must visit. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, no complaints whatso... Read more

Admittedly, this isn't the most romantic hotel to stay at. However, if that's not your main priority, the hotel is perfectly situated far south of Omonia, right in the middle of Psiri where many new bars and restaurants have cropped up, and also very close to the sites you need to see during your stay. There are wonderful cafes on the same block where we had some of the best breakfast you can find in the city. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone that's looking for a budget-friendly spot in a p... We have stayed at Attalos as our Athens stopover on both ends of two trips to Greece, total of 4 visits and about 6 ‚?? 8 nights. Every visit has been pleasing. The front desk staff is pleasant and efficient. They are a good source of information about places to eat, nearby ATMs, taxis, and just about anything we have inquired about. And fortunately for linguistically challenged Americans, they speak excellent English. The rooms are large compared to other locations in Greece and comparable... Read more

Close to my favourite areas of Athens, Psyrri and Monastiraki. Walking distance to most of the important sights and with easy access to bus or metro makes it convinient to go anywhere in this fantastic and absolutely amazing city. Close to Plaka, National garden, New Acropolis Museum, Monastiiraki flue market and, as mentioned, Psyrri with all it's nice restaurants. The rooms are nice and very clean. The Attalos Hotel is much loved by Americans and I'm not sure why. It is in an excellent position although if you have a room on the front the traffic is quite noisy. All the hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the place is very clean. However rooms are old-fashioned and basic. It is worth paying extra for a superior room as these are more spacious. Breakfast is an extra 8 euros per person and is ok. Overall the hotel is distinctly average and although I would stay here again it would only... Read more

The location is the most attractive part of this hotel. It is 5-10 minutes walk to main market and other tourist attractions. Rooms are small but clean, bathrooms are small, again, but have all the required. Rooftop bar, has an excellent view of Acropolis. In evenings it is worth a visit. Breakfast, is charged extra and is on higher side, numerous other options available all around the hotel.

The location is very good, walkable to most sites and close to Monastraki metro for the airport. The hotel is clean and the staff helpful and friendly. The roof top bar has a good view of the Acropolis but the beer is expensive. I stayed several nights at Attalos. The staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is close to Monastiraki station and less than fifteen minutes walk to most historical sites. I didn't have a room with a balcony - they were booked - but my room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the windows do a lot to keep the street sounds out. The rooftop bar has a lovely view of the Acropolis. Breakfast served until 10 am for an extra 8 euro, and many restaurants and cafes nearby.

Convenient location to not only the public transportation for the airport (2 blocks) but also close to a lot of the sights of Athens. Great location within a couple of blocks of the Plaka area. Safe neighborhood, decent breakfast, clean hotel. Not a luxury hotel by any means, but the location more than makes up for that. This hotel is in a great location. We found it easy to explore Monastiraki and Plaka, as well as the Acropolis. Our room was clean, but small. The AC unit had an odor, but worked well and kept us cool during the heat wave. The bathroom could use an update but again it was clean. We loved the roof top bar and the view of the Acropolis. The hotel was set-up by my tour group, we loved it for its rooftop bar with amazing views of the Acropolis and good bar-keep. The rooms were fine and clean, we had a room towards the back so we didn't have the noise from the very busy Athinas road. The hotel is an excellent location, near the touristy Monistaraki Center, but also near an area where locals hangout for food and the bar scene.

Clean hotel. No frills basic amenities. Wholesome but simple breakfast. Worth the money for the location. In the heart of Athina and walking distance everywhere. We were booked into a room with a view for the first 3 days of our trip and I felt dejected as there wasn't much of a view.
