The hotel is within easy walking distance to some of the major sites, the train station- which is also on the main line to the airport, and right in the heart of the quaint and lively market streets. The hotel management were also particularly helpful and gracious. The hotel/rooms are a bit dated and need refurbishment For the location, however, this was really good value for money.

We actually stayed here in November 2014 and while we loved the location and rooftop terrace for breakfast, we all felt it could use just a little more upkeep. (The location really is stellar though.) We went back to Athens last month, February 2016 and when we walked by we noticed that it was closed and there were construction workers inside, and they had one of those big dumpster things outside. I am going to take this as a sign that they are refurbishing this hotel which would be *great*! Whe... Read more

The hotel is within walking distance to the city center and the famous Ermou Street. The rooms have an average size, but they are very clean and cozy. There is also a big balcony with a very nice view. The bathroom is also clean and modern. You can also make your own tea or coffee in the room.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and helpful with a dinner recommendation. Location is perfect! Hotel clean! Rooftop terrace for breakfast is a wonderful way to start the day. My wife and I are seasoned travelers. We highly recommend the Adrian.

This hotel was in a great location. Easy to find and family friendly. We had traveled w/ 2 young toddlers. The room was spacious and clean with a nice balcony. Customer service was spot on!!! Friendly and helpful is always what stands out in having the perfect experience. It just makes your vacation that much memorable. NO bad experiences here. Just great memories! We didn't get to see the rooftop terrace, wish we had!!! Breakfast was ample and yummy.

We enjoyed our stay at the Adrian Hotel. The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Breakfast on the roof with a view of the Acropolis was a wonderful treat. Set just off one of the Plaka squares filled with cafes.

This is a nice clean hotel in the centre of the Plaka. We had a nice, if small, room overlooking a square. The hotel is good value, especially if you consider the excellent breakfast with a lovely view of the Acropolis.

Typical small frontage onto the street, makes it difficult to find, but once inside there is a spacious reception with welcoming staff. Rooms (and our bed), are compact with limited storage and small balconies, overlooking the street or a back yard (quieter). It is a shame that the excellent roof terrace is not open during the day for lunch or drinks, but breakfasts on the roof are the top selling point of Adrian. Beyond that, location is the main attraction as it is walking distance to the met... Read more

We walked in without a reservation and were told there was only one room left. We asked if we could look at it and were taken up to the third (top) floor. Curtains were whisked open to reveal---the Acropolis! We gazed at it for hours and when I woke up at night I stared out at it in disbelief. Great view also from rooftop terrace where breakfast buffet was served. Wish we could have stayed longer. Clean, perfect room, balcony, and, oh, did I mention the view?

Clean rooms , updates bathroom, great breakfast and rooftop view. Most I portly honest! On my last day in Greece I left our Nikon camera, inside my Michael Korrs travel bag, at a restaurant next door to our hotel-- I didn't realize I had left it until 4:00 AM the next morning as I was preparing to get into the taxi to catch a 6:30 AM flight home. The camera contained every picture Christie took on her birthday trip and I was completely devastated and heartbroken. I could not believe I lef... Read more

I recently stayed in the Adrian Hotel. The hotel is right in the middle of everything. A few steps from shopping and food and right at the bottom of the acropolis. The staff is very friendly, The guy at the front desk allowed me to print out some paperwork using his personal computer. They also held my luggage for a day after checkout while I waited for my cruise to start. The Breakfast was fantastic! I was expecting a regular continental breakfast made of of fruits and breads, but was surpris... Read more

We stayed in Adrian Hotel for 4 nights. This hotel is not fancy, but the bathroom was renovated. The reason why we chose this hotel was the location and the view. It is in the middle of Plaka and restaurants and shops are next door! Our room has a small balcony from which we enjoyed the morning and night views of Acropolis. It was nice to be able to get fresh air and we felt like we are living in Athens (luxury hotels' windows are not openable, so it is a good change). Breakfast at the roof top r... Read more

The hotel is located on the edge of the Plaka - excellent for many of the main sights. From the roof-top terrace, where breakfast is served, there is a wonderful view of the Acropolis. Breakfast itself is good. Our room was quite small, but clean and comfortable - and quiet. However, the double bed was rather narrow - and we're both pretty slim! Next time, I'll ask for a twin-bedded room.

I only stayed in Athens for one night prior to catching a ferry the following morning. We just wanted a clean, well priced hotel in a central location - this is exactly what we got at the Hotel Adrian. Room was spotlessly clean, and looked nicer in real life than on photos, and the bathroom had been refurbished. Location could not have been better, literally footsteps from some wonderful bars, restaurants and views.

We were part of a small group of travelers heading back home after a great time on Alonissos. The bulk of our group had checked in to the Adrian hotel for a day-long stop-over in Athens but we opted to leave for home on the same day and had a couple of hours to kill before getting onto our plane. We needed a place in which to stow our bags and freshen up before getting onto the plane. Because we had family members in the hotel, the concierge was most accommodating in keeping our luggage locked... Read more

The hotel was well located just below the Acropolis with plenty of shops and restaurants around. The room was nice and had all required for the category of the hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. A couple of comments: (1) The GPS couldn't get us to the hotel - others checking in at the same time experienced the same thing. They have access to a pay car park (price reasonable) but to get to it need to go up a one way street, the wrong way. (2) Breakfast on the roof was beautiful with a vi... Read more

Try to book a room facing the Acropolis - the views are stunning and you avoid the traffic and noise from the street side. This hotel is a 10 minute walk from Monastiraki Square but walk through the shopping street Pandrosou, opposite the Metro, not around Hadrian's Library. Small rooms but quite adequate with modern shower that really works ! Very comfortable bed and good aircon. Excellent breakfast on the roof terrace in summer.

Hard to beat the location - in the heart of the sights, all walkable within 20 minutes through small meandering streets mostly traffic free. The breakfast is very good and the view from the terrace over the Acropolis a bit special. Staff were incredibly helpful. Simply decorated, decent space standard and very clean with the bonus of a good sized balcony.

Adrian Hotel is comfortable and accessible, located near the Monastriaki metro station. It is near the Hadrian Arch, along the street Adrianou where there are many shops and restaurants. It is easily found if you walk into the Pandanou shopping streets. The restaurants served reasonably priced Greek food. The hotel serves a very good breakfast.

The best location to stay it for all the major sites of Athens. Restaurants, nightlife, tour buses and metro within short waking distance. No wifi issues as experience in other parts of Greece. Bathroom is newly renovated and room was clean. Bed was comfortable however the duvet was outdated and a bit thin. Overall good for the price.

Loved this place! Great location for visiting all the sights, great restaurants, and shopping are just outside the front door. We had an Acropolis view room with balcony which was amazing at night ( not sure about the other rooms). The staff was wonderful and accommodating (opened breakfast early so we could catch our taxi). The last time we were in Athens we stayed in a hotel that was 4x's as expensive and we liked this one just as much! You can't go wrong.

This hotel is in a GREAT location in Plaka, but rooms are a little pricey for what you get. Breakfast in the morning is average at best, but included with the room so no complaints. Safe area with great restaurants around it.

Having read some of the guets' reviewes I was a bit concerned at the maintainance level of the rooms. However: to my happy surprise the hotel has been refurbished. Rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful! Access with car is a bit tricky.

Excellent budget hotel in the middle of the old town Plaka, with walking-distance to all the sights in Athens. Nice rooms with balconies, modern bathrooms, rooftop breakfast with views to the Acropolis on one side, and the Likavitou on the other. Plenty of good restaurants close to the hotel, and Adrianou street is essential for shopping. Friendly and helpful staff, doesn't get better at this price!

What a great choice we made when we booked our stay in Athens at the Hotel Adrian . So centrally located in the Plaka we could tour the ancient sites at our leisure, take a stroll through the lanes and see the amazing fur stores, ecclesiastical shops with everything from icons, chalices, lamps and priests clothing, jewelers and of course the tourist gift shops. We had a spacious room , with a balcony looking up to the Acropolis, every modern convenience supplied (including the nicest thick tow... Read more
