The Acropolis Hill Hotel is great if a) you are in good walking shape, b) you don't require much space and c) you're looking for a spotless, comfortable, modern hotel. The rooms are quite small, though certainly adequate, with nice bathroom, small balcony (most with a stunning view of the Acropolis), and comfortable beds. The hotel has a big rooftop terrace also with amazing views, a pool, very friendly and helpful staff, and a bar that serves wine, drinks, and coffee. A fine buffet breakfast an... Read more

This Hotel is perfect to explore Athens. Close to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and the main atractions. The rooms and the bathroom are small but tastefully decorated and clean. We had the room with view to Acropolis and it was great. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. All in all a very good experience.

We recently stayed at Acropolis Hill Hotel on our trip to Athens for business during the weekend of 14-15 May 2016. The hotel was well groomed, clean and the room was small but had everything we needed. The bed was excellent and we slept vey well on Saturday night after a very tiring day indeed. We had such a good night's sleep that in the morning we felt lazy and did not want to get up for breakfast. We thought we would skip breakfast and have a late brunch in a cafe I know in town. We had brea... Read more

We are staying in an apartment a few mins walk from the Acropolis hill hotel. But after a long day of walking we had walked ourselves into a circle and totally lost amongst Athens narrow streets. So although not guests at the hotel he went out of his way to find the street and printed us out a map to get us back on the right track Next time we come to Athens we are definitely going to stay at this hotel. Kind helpful staff but to be honest we haven't met a single Greek person who isn't kind an... Read more

Location - The location is the highlight of this hotel!!! There are restaurants right down the hill adjacent to the hotel, in addition to little stands for snacks, a bakery, and a florist for flowers for your loved ones. You can indeed see the Acropolis from your room. It will take you 15 minutes to walk to the front entrance of the Acropolis. Transportation - Taxi is 44 euro from the airport to the hotel. The hotel staff will call you a taxi at the frog desk when you need it and it will always... Read more

Nice small, clean hotel with almost all facilities required. Descent breakfast, small but clean outdoor pool, fast and reliable wifi, bad TV channels, very close to Acropolis, National Garden and Panathinaiko Stadium. Not far from metro station. Rooftop area on the 5th floor is a nice place to observe Acropolis at night.

We have just stayed 3 nights at the Acropolis Hill, and couldn't recommended it more highly. We are traveling with our 21mth old child and all the staff were beyond fantastic. New modern facilities, fantastic greek style/ modern hot breakfast included, pools and on site cafe/bar. All the staff are incredible knowledge with local attractions and hotspot. They all treat as us part of the family. Katerina went above and beyond for us, meeting any need we ask of her. We have a sick family member ... Read more

We paid â?¬260 for two nights which is a decent price for a hotel in a capital city I suppose. The room was quite small, maybe that's par for the course in Athens? We had a view of the Acropolis from our balcony but I think every hotel in Athens does as its so prominent. Breakfast was uninspiring, we barely ate anything. We booked fairly last minute so I guess this was all that was left! Wouldn't be bothered about coming back here should we return, would try somewhere else. Staff were all friend... Read more

Location Good location but as the name suggests it's an uphill walk to the hotel. This was fine for me but be aware some people may struggle, especially in the high temperatures. Also there is not much pavement to walk on near the hotel and lots of parked cars, so at times you have to walk in the road next to the parked cars - just be very aware of moving traffic. We walked to the Parthenon in about 10-15 mins. You can also reach a number of restaurants within the same walking distance. Plak... Read more

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was a good size, clean, with one of the nicer hotel bathrooms we had in Greece. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The location was excellent. Yes, you have to walk down and then up a reasonable hill to reach a number of the restaurants. But, you're also just a few minutes from the Acropolis. That means, no taxi required to see Plaka, Syntagma Square, etc. Most impressive was the girl who worked the front desk in the late afternoons and evenings. Sh... Read more

We stayed here for four nights and it was heaven. With in walking distance to all important sights. As well as all the shopping and food. Just a short walk to Dora stratue dance. All with easy parking which is not the case with other hotels near by. This hotel has become our new Athens home base. And the kicker is they have a pool. It's a win win win. Opa opa opa

I stayed at the Acropolis Hill Hotel for 1 night in May 2016. The hotel is in a modern boutique style about 15-20 minutes walk from the southern side of the Acropolis and the excellent Strofi restaurant. Staff were very helpful and willing to provide directions and book taxis, etc. There is a small (very cold!) pool in the central lightwell next to the decent-sized breakfast area on the lower ground floor, and a large - but sadly under-used - roof terrace with magnificent views to the Acropolis... This is nice, clean hotel with a modern design. My room was on the smaller side but perfect for me. The hotel is very close to the Acropolis and not a terribly far walk to the Plaka. The rooftop terrace has a marvelous view of Athens and the Acropolis. I enjoyed my stay and hope to return!

This hotel was well run and well kept. There is a spacious rooftop with tables and chairs and a great view of the Acropolis and out over the city. Almost no one used it! We brought in dinner and a bottle of wine and had a wonderful romantic dinner by ourselves. You can pay a lot of money at a restaurant for the same experience. There is a pedestrian mall only a couple of blocks away that is more local and less touristy than the areas around the Acropolis. Definitely check it our. The only ... Read more

We got access to the room even if it was hours before check-in time. - Common areas - Nice and clean. Would absolutely recommend it!

The Acropolis Hill Hotel was our chosen lodging in Athens when we traveled with National Geographic Expeditions. The Acropolis Hill Hotel didn't present many surprises (it is an average, 3-star hotel in a convenient location) but we paid a premium to travel with Nat Geo and didn't expect to be staying in average (and in two other cases, MUCH worse than average) hotels. Located about a 5-10 minute walk from the main bus parking lot for the Acropolis, the location is convenient. It is located i... Read more

Booked through our travel agent, but this certainly came as a very pleasant surprise. Only a few steps away from the world famous Acropolis Hill but actually situated at the base of Filopappou Hill of Hill of the Muses, this hotel is definitely worthwhile recommending. I stayed here with my girlfriend and found it to be very comfortable and with in walking distance of everything you want to see. Be sure to ask for a double bed or you will end up with two single beds pushed together. Breakfast was great with good coffee and bacon. Not much going on at hotel itself and pool is not ideal in a courtyard with little sun.

Modern, clean hotel. Very reasonable charge for the hotel to do your clothes in the laundry. Nice small pool that the kids love. Good breakfast Buffett included. You can see the balcony view in the photo. The location is right across the street from one of the central hills/parks in Ancient Athens and is also very close to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. We had great stay at Acropolis Hill. Simple family run hotel that provides clean and comfortable rooms, a great breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff . The location is a 5 minute walk to the Acropolis and Museum and about 15 minutes to a big market and restaurant area which is quite something, although there are good restaurants and some shopping at the hotel doorstep. Very happy and would certainly stay there again.

Stayed there for two nights - couldn't wish for the better. 10 min walk to all major attractions. Manager is very helpful and Knoligable. I stayed for one night before flying to Santorini and this was a great location. A good modern hotel. Location was a bit away from the major tourist district and therefore this was on the quiet residential side. 30 minutes walking to the Plaka central tourist district. The reception guys were a bit less welcoming but we hardly cared. Room was on the backside of higher floor so the view was of the city. Roof top view of the Acropolis was alright. Overall a pleasant stay.

The location was nice and close to the Acropolis which is why we chose this hotel. We checked in early and our room was not ready so we went sight seeing. Before we left the gentleman at the front desk told us he had a nice room on the 6th floor for us. When we returned and were taken to our room we were literally in the basement. This hotel can be compared to a 5* indeed. The cleaniness, the friendly personnel, the good quality of breakfast and even the cool small pool make it an excellent choise for a brief stay. The rooms are rather small but for the price its what you expect.
