We loved this hotel. Wonderful front desk staff with great meal recommendations. My daughter loved the candy at the desk. Nice family room, plenty of space; good AC and wifi. Nice balcony with great view of the lake. Terrific location near everything. The lobby was nice, hallways so so but we didn't care. Public parking not far. Incredible value. It had a little kitchenette though we didn't use it except for an instant coffee in the morning. Cute town, good restaurants, nice nearby beac... Read more

In terms of location Du Lac Hotel is first class. Our room had views over the lake in Agios Nikolaos and a wrap around balcony allowing you to sit outside and make the most of the fantastic setting. The room was large with plenty of storage and air conditioning. A small fridge was a useful addition for keeping drinks cold. There were no complimentary drinks provided- not even a bottle of water! And no tea or coffee making facilities- which is the norm in most hotels. No service is provided in te... Read more

Decent sized room with good sized shower room/wc. Overlooking the lake. Very Clean. Staff very nice. Has cafe/bar attached. Would stay again. Very central. Even though it was late December there were still plenty of cafe/bars open together with Restaurants and shops. A short drive to Elounda and Plaka. Perfect as a base for local sightseeing trips when in season.

We stayed here for a few days late February 2016 and were very impressed for the price. The 'big' hotels were shut so we opted for the Du Lac, mainly based on location, and were very satisfied. We opted for a studio with balcony/lake view (why stay by the lake if you can't see it?) and the room was more than adequate. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff were great - friendly and helpful, and whilst it doesn't have its own restaurant or bar, the Du Lac is surrounded by choices even in Febr... Read more

We were only in Ag Nik for 1 night and this hotel had a perfect location at a decent price which is rare. We had a 3rd floor room overlooking the lake which couldnt be beaten and was great to wake up to. It was clean and comfortable with no frills but with great shower. Review options on here are average then very good, I would have like to give it a 'good' ie 3.5 for the location but this option not available. Would def stay here again if in Ag Nik for 1 or 2 nights but probably not for a whole... Read more

We have spent one night during a motorcycle-trip in Crete in Du Lac. Beautiful room in 3rd floor with elevator, balcony, clean, good price. No breakfast, no bar in the hotel, but breakfast in the adjacent house and abundant number of bars in the centre of town around the hotel. Until midnight not really quiet.
