We stayed here for 4 night and had a great experience! Our room was big and had a balcony with stunning views of the sea and the ruins, and the amazing sunsets! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the breakfast offers lots of options from fresh local fruits and cheeses to homemade jams and cakes. The terrasse is a little paradise itself, with beautiful wooden tables and chairs where to lay in the sun in the middle of the trees and wild mint and other nice plants. We would love to come back!

This is the place to stay in Aegina if you want good quality accommodation. Both our rooms were lovely, ours had a four-poster bed, with magnificent views of the sea, the sunsets and the classical column and ruins nearby. A small sandy beach and the centre are five minutes walk away, so it is free of most of the incessant scooter noise that pollutes the town. The gardens are gorgeous, it was warm enough to have breakfast outside every morning, a beautiful start to the day. All the appreciat... Read more

Very convenient and quiet location, ample well appointed rooms, a good breakfast, super helpful manager. Beware the Mosquitos, which managed to keep us up at night while dining on our blood....time for this excellent guesthouse to add screens to its windows.

Been a few times now. Never fails it's always better. Great garden a pleasure to sit and eat breakfast, read a book or just while away the time. Five minuets from beach, port or town the perfect place to stay. Dagmar makes a great host and will always help if she can.

I'd seen the reviews and having stayed in Aegina for the last few years I thought it time to stay in Aegina town (I usually stay in Souvala, a very pretty but small and quiet resort along the northern coast of Aegina) which I always thought of as the "bustling city" nothing could be farther from the truth here at Rastoni, literally a five minute walk from the centre of town, this quiet little boutique hotel has everything I want. The bedrooms are well appointed, the staff are absent (in a good w... Read more

We arrived on the island without a place to stay and wandered around looking without finding anything looking at all inviting. We finally ran into the Hotel Rastoni which was on my list of desired places (had read reviews on this site) and we felt lucky they had a room available. The room was gorgeous and immaculate and so were the relaxing gardens. We could see the ocean not far away and enjoyed it, ruins and sunsets from our balcony. Breakfast was good with homemade items. We really enjoyed ou... Read more

We stayed in hotel Rastoni 4 days and enjoyed every minute. Our room had a magnificent view on the sea and an old temple. Room was very spacious and clean. We loved the beautiful garden where we enjoyed our excellent breakfast each morning. From the hotel is was just a 3 minute walk to the harbour, shopping street and restaurants. We perceived the staff as very friendly and helpful. The informed us very well on the possibilities to explore the island. We hired a car for one day to explore the i... Read more

This is a wonderful, tranquil hotel tucked away in a quiet corner of Aegina town but within easy walking distance from the ferry port. The hosts are welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay a wonderful experience. Our room was spacious, well appointed and kept perfectly clean throughout our stay. The gardens are a real treat with beautiful flowers and fruit trees.

We stayed here for four nights in Aegina, the most lovely of islands close to Athens! Our initial impression was not favourable - a man at reception who was cold and unfriendly and who spoke little English. This theme unfortunately was to continue during our stay. We booked a colonial suite - a fantastic room until night time when the bamboo cracking is unbearable and bugs invade the room. To the credit of the hotel they did move us to another room which was quieter and then to a sea view room.... Read more

We stayed three nights at the hotel. It has been recommended to us from a friend who lives on the island as the best place to stay. We were very enthusiastic about everything with the hotel. This is my first time to write a review which is evidence of my enthusiasm. The hotel is very unique for Greece standards at this price category. The highlights were for me taking breakfast in the wonderful garden. The breakfast itself was another delight. The view from the balkony looking at the sea. Dagmar... Read more

The hotel is aesthetically stunning - relaxing colours, beautiful plants and cool rooms. We had a sea view over looking the ruin which was amazing to wake up and go to sleep to. Rooms are kept clean and the hotel is very quiet (cicadas aside which is nature's issue). Breakfast is very tasty with a good range of produce and I quite like having cats to keep me company. Close to beaches and the port so perfect for exploring, near a mini market for snacks and, of course, the ruins. The bathroom is w... Read more

The manager of the hotel Dagmar is always there to support in every request and ensures the hotel offers impeccable service levels. My partner and I stayed in this hotel at the beginning of September and we have to say this is one of the most lovely hotels we have been to. It was clean, beautiful gardens and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was ok but could of had more variety although for 4â?¬ per person it was good value. The hotel is in a good location although slightly set back from the main town (3 mins walk to all the restaurants) Would stay again if in the area and would suggest booking a room... Read more

We have got family room with one double bed downstairs and upstairs (open) were two beds for our kids. All rooms are exposed to the West. Inside we have a very good ceiling fan plus A/C system. From the terrace you may see exactly the remained column from Temple of Appolo plus sea plus a well arranged garden under the balcony (place for breakfast). We are travelling with our car and we had access to hotel's free parking place. It is easy to take a straw to the down town but also is a quit place.... Read more

What a beautiful place this is! Found it easily on Google maps before arriving. Stayed in Aegina Port before and been really happy with our previous accommodation. Stayed with friends this year, therefore decided to try Rastoni, based on great reviews and its proximity to Avra Beach. The walk into town is pleasant, about 5 minutes. Back to the hotel - the gardens are so beautiful: little walkways between scented lavendars, olive trees, water features, seating areas where you can choose to escape... Read more

This hotel is a great find and we were very fortunate to have found the best place to stay on Aegina. The decor is Balinese style and Dagmar the owner has a great sense of style and taste and also an excellent host. Lots of room tips from others about balconies, views etc..... We stayed here last year on the top floor and now on the lower floor. I can confirm ALL rooms have balconies, spectacular views of Ancient Kolona (500 metres away), the Pelopennese and stunning sunsets. Plus at dusk tiny bats fly about for 20 mins... Only the Garden studios dont have the view, but then again, you're in the beautiful, peaceful garden so take your pick.

Came to Aegina to relax and Rastoni did not disappoint. Stayed in a second floor room with private balcony and great view of the garden, water and monument. Breakfast was great and the garden is very peaceful Wifi signal in the room was weak, but prefect on the balcony. So who can really complain if you have to "work" but can only do it in the sun and breeze :) Hotel is a short walk to town with plenty of shops and restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
