This city centre hotel must be congratulated on its staff for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. They rooms were clean and well prepared although two single beds for my grandchildren would have been better than a sofa bed although they did get to sleep eventually. The breakfast was superb with all one could want.

The hotel is clean and well presented. Room quite small and two children on a sofa bed. Problem with the air conditioning, room temperature a constant 23 degrees although he thermometer was set to 5 degrees. Didn't feel any cold air coming out. Made for two uncomfortable nights sleep. Staff informed of air conditioning problem on first morning and clearly not resolved. Breakfast is good, plentiful and coffee on demand with table service. We were at the hotel for 2 nights over the weekend, joining our families who were here on the Chessington Park deal. Travelling from South Wales we arrived early but were allocated a room on arrival by the receptive staff. The room was very clean and provided for a pleasant stay apart from the incumbent road traffic noise. Hotel staff were friendly, inviting, and helpful. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. The coffee machine in the room rocked! Extras that we loved-slippers, robe, good coffee, tv offerings, laptop-sized safe, complimentary waters, free fast internet, and decent sized mini fridge. We are HiltonHonors members which gives us some perks. We appreciated the location of this hotel, as it was close to the Woking train station to Waterloo, a 22-40 min ride, depending on stops. The service was very good, the staff was very helpful, the room was clean and very comfortable. The choice of buffet for breakfast and lunch/dinner was excellent and high quality food with a large variety. The only down side was the service at dinner time when the hotel was very busy with travelers, the staff was a little overwhelmed and we did not get our drinks in a timely fashion. Otherwise everything was great!

The only disappointment of my stay occurred right at the outset. I followed signs off the main road and found that there was only parking for about 10 or so cars at the hotel, and all these spaces were taken. I was later informed that this was because their underground car park was being renovated. Given that there is a multi-storey right next door, this wasn't a massive issue, but a sign directing guests to take the second exit to the multi-storey rather than the first one to the hotel would be... The location, friendly staff and good value gives this 4 star hotel gets my vote ! Easy check in, parking under the hotel (although not cheap at £15/night) and easy walking to the town centre adds to its appeal. Dinner was very good, the vegetable soup of the day was very good and having two different breads was a nice touch. Can recommend the steak which my son told me was very good. We liked the chunky chips too, just wanted a couple more ! Buffet breakfast hits the spot too.

Stayed here last night with my friend and our daughters, we had rooms 325 and 328. The location is great, we arrived early parked the car at the hotel. We went in to tell them we arrived 2 hours early but our rooms were ready so we checked in and then walked about 2 minutes to the shopping centre. Lovely mall to shop in then dinner at Azzurro a lovely Italian on the top floor by the theatre. The lady on reception was very welcoming (the warm cookies helped that too ????????) and the rooms... Stayed here 4 nights in total and we had problems everyday. Hotel itself is lovely but the service is pretty poor. Confusion at every dinner time but breakfast was good. Andrea the bar manager I believe was unaware of what dinner entitlement we got and refused to give us drinks even though on checkout we were told we could have and drink.

For: Polite, respectful, attentive, friendly and properly professional staff. Clean and beautifully prepared rooms, light switches relatively easy to find, air conditioning/heating that works and is easily controlled, twin lifts, a fine wine list. Very comfortable bed. Excellent main courses in the restaurant dinner menu. Very close to the town centre shopping and decent high end chain brasseries. A mixture of business and family clients. Excellent breakfasts with fried eggs that beautifully coo... Read more

Very comfortable stay at Doubletree Hotel. Lovely big room with modern bathroom. Didn't eat there as we were visiting family nearby so can't comment but staff were very welcoming. Very handy for town centre.

Overnight on business you need : cool, quiet room with good wifi, fluffy towels nad loads of hot water ( well I do!) Hotel scores well on all these, plus of course the proverbial Hilton warm chocolate cookie on arrival. Not the cheapest in town, but short walk from station and shops and easy to book a cab for morning.

Loud, boisterous and pretty unwelcoming check in The bar is poorly staffed and when they do arrive they barely understand English, and they way they chuck wine in a glass really is something to behold! Rooms are ok to good. To park your car is an additional £15 per day - which is steep. Location is not pretty - a dubious 10 min walk round the back of a multi storey car park, on along a freeway, to shopping area, ok during daylight.

Friendly and efficient staff. Extremely good value for an overnight stay £75 for a double room ... When you consider how much a cab home would cost if you had a drink .. plus a full English Breakfast £ 16.50 X 2 = good value for money ... Perhaps not if you multiple £ 75 by 14 days for example. . But it suited us ... Minor niggles in room 412 ... burn mark on the carpet ... no toilet brush .... on button not working on kettle and heating not adequate as the outside temperature had dropped

Lovely place! Clean, helpful staff, loved the cookies on arrival, tasty breakfast with a good selection, great location, plenty around. Only tiny negative I have is the pillows were all feather ones, and I prefer firm ones, so was a little uncomfortable. Would defenately stay again!!

Upon arrival we was greeted by friendly faces with some warm cookies. A clean and tidy lobby and corridors. The room was also clean, tidy and spacious and to top it off we had an all you can eat breakfast.

I cannot wait to get this down on paper. The last three days and two nights at this hotel have been so stressful, I can't wait to go home, isn't a hotel meant to be relaxing and stress free? I have had various problems before with hiltons customer service, the one exception would be Hilton London metropole where staff were amazing, need to write a review for them. Serves me right really for staying in a Hilton again especially this one. Last time they charged my card in excess of £200 in author... Read more
