I've stayed at this property a few times over the years. Staff has always been friendly and helpful! Breakfast is included, and the spread is great! Rooms are comfortable, clean, and come with refrigerators. The hotel is a short distance walk to a nearby mall where you can buy groceries if need be. About a 15min ride to Labadi Beach. The pool area is relaxing, and have live bands from time to time. Overall, a good stay in Accra.

Standard offering from holiday inn group. Very convenient for the airport and access to the highway. Pricing similar to La Palm and a bit cheaper than Tulip just up the road. Wifi can do with improvement. Room was clean and quiet for being so close to the airport.

A last minute flight cancellation led to this overnight - it's only five minutes from the airport. Holiday Inns are usually reliably mid-range, but this one was run-down in lots of small and irritating ways. Nightstand lights didn't work. Air-conditioner remote had no battery. Door security chain was broken. TV didn't work. Wifi was so slow to be useless. Breakfast buffet was great. Airport shuttle was free and quick. If I'm in Accra again, I'll go elsewhere.

Very nice poolside bar and seating area. The staff are friendly and helpful. I ended up in room 210 which is next to a storeroom. The entire night the staff were in and out and the door scraping and bumping awoke every time. Besides that, a good stay.

Stayed there on two occasions during the same trip. First time I was on the second floor and room was ok. Second I was on the fourth floor and room was WAY better! Great breakfast and lunch/dinner options. Very close to the airport with free shuttle. I'd definitely stay there if I came back. Ps. Look for Kind David if you're looking for a driver (much better option than cabs).

Nice location near airport, good rooms, but totally overpriced. A good breakfast and a nice shuttle with an arrival lounge at Accra Airport. I would return but I will look for other alternatives near Airport at a less expensive price. For 240 USD per night I expect a 5 star hotel treatment.

I have mixed emotions about this place: Good, and not so good. Good: 1-Location: right next to the airport, which is practically in the heart of Accra. So wherever your business is taking you, you're at proximity, and when you arrive from an exhausting long trip, you are minutes away from the shower. 2-Rooms: spacious, well lit, all basic comforts required existant. 3-Food: Good quality. Breakfast is nice and varied. 3 places to eat in the hotel, used them for snacking (burger/sandwich) and dinn... Read more

260 euro for one night is not worthy it at al! - massage: i call ad 17:15 to get a massage answer is they are closed. - Room: there is a door between 2 rooms so u hear the people in the other room breathing (so they hear u to and u feel u have no privacy). The bed and food is nice, but the question again 260 euro for only a good bed and food (food u need to pay additional). Next time in Accra I skip this Hotel! Regards Michel de Jong

Close to airport but check website to see if their shuttle service from the airport is half hourly or hourly. Staff good. Breakfast ok (scones excellent). Rooms nice and quiet and clean. No real issues. Would recommend for an overnight or few days if doing business in the area around the airport.

The hotel is in a great location very close to the airport and right behind a shopping mall. the reception is very welcoming as are the staff. My room was comfortable but "past its sell by date" and in need of some refurbishment. Otherwise, a very functional hotel.

Surprised Holiday Inn still attaches their brand to this hotel in its current state. Convenient location near the airport, looks great on the outside, but food, service, and attentiveness of staff is seriously lacking. This hotel used to have much higher quality standards when it first opened for guest services, food selection, cleanliness. Gym is disappointing. The car service they have in the lobby grossly overcharged me and no one seemed to care. When I went to take it a second time, each sta... Read more

Breakfast is great, did not care too much for buffet every day for the 3 meals! Ala carte is quite good but takes forever, I love Ghanian plantains but not spiced at all. The staff are very friendly but the lobby can be too crowded until you do not know who is who! I did not care for the gift shop! But really value exchange bureau right in the hotel. Rooms are great and Internet access ok but power outage all the time can be annoying, however there is automatic standby generator. The front desk ... Read more

I am an IGH members for couple of years. This is the worst Holiday Inn I have been staying... Noisy late at night, extremely bad internet, non working TV, poor food quality... The list is long unfortunately. The rooms are clean at least but not welcoming with outdated furniture. Some staff members are trying to fix what can be fixed while most of the others don't really care at all.

If you are in Accra and have a flight to catch, there are two options. Leave like 6 hours before your flight to make sure the traffic doesn't make you miss your flight, or stay near to the airport. If you choose the latter, this is one of the best bets close to the airport. It's not great but has a gym and a good restaurant. And the Wifi actually works.

Only used the bar section to have some informal meetings and snacks. The WiFi coupon I paid for stopped working after a while which was disappointing as it was meant to last 8 hours. The toasted sandwich I ordered was a little disappointing too. Service is ok but must tag a waiter down otherwise they will just pass you. Prices are ok. There is an outside pool bar as well which seems quite nice. Food can take long so order ahead of time.

Pros: shuttle service, breakfast included, nice lobby, onsite security, restaurants were well priced for a hotel. Wonderful, helpful and polite reception. Pool party with music and a bar. There is a small shopping center that has a grocery store and ATM close by. Cons: AWFUL smell in the rooms that get trapped in your clothes, luggage etc. hidden fees when you use the hotel concierge services. AC was hit or miss the entire week. Nothing is included in the cost of your room so be warned. Gym ... Read more

I lodged in this hotel the year it opened. It is certainly not as new or "fresh" as it was that year, but it still remains "my home". From the airport lounge where am offered hot chocolate drink while waiting for the Shuttle that will take me on the five minute drive to the hotel, to the welcoming smile from the driver ( I seem to know them all), to the janitor and the warm welcome at the reception desk- I tell you it is always a delight. First time at this specific HI in Accra for me. Hotel is pricy, but has a few value adds that help to cushion the price. Free Airport shuttle to and from airport. In-room entertainment in the form of Payview movies apart from the normal channels. Did not use these as I thought it expensive. The complete tv and wifi setup seems to be integrated into one entertainment system where you can also view your bill and order room service from - the issue is that if this goes down for whatever reason you ... Stayed at the holiday inn for 42 days, had a great stay. The services are very structured, the clean up and room service is as you'd expect. The food is continental, pool is big but it's not secluded. So you swimming are people are watching you whilst they eat. Every Friday and Saturday there is live music at the restaurant, it's a bit noisy if you trying to sleep. But a good stay non the less.

The hotel was just okay and the visit was just okay. The place is worn and outdated. By larger, world standards, it's a pricy hotel (about $500 US for two nights), and not worth the price. It's clean...ish. It's dark and worn. The rooms are outdated, as are the lobby, the bar, and dining hall are outdated. The staff were also just okay. Friendly enough, but not super professional. Food and drink at the bar took forever, as did check-out. I'll have to find a nice place for the price next time.

I stayed in the Holiday Inn, Accra on business from Sunday 07th - 11th August 2016. This is a great hotel which is located 5 mins from the airport, just off the main road. On entry a large reception area leads to the hotel lifts, a nice bar area behind which is the main hotel restaurant is situated, off which an outdoor pool area with bar, hotel gym (basic equipment suitable for a good mid range workout) and the hotel Spa are situated. It is nice and relatively cleaned place with pretty good choices for breakfast. The room may need some refurbishment, but it is typical Holiday Inn set up and cleaned proper daily. This place is close to the airport but I would recommend to make reservation for hotel shuttle in advance by mail and close to the airport exit door within the building, they have hotel launge.
