Good location of the hotel, with a decent access to highway, city centre. Breakfast is nice, although without juice just from automate (not my favorite). Rooms are spacious with desk, fridge with free water in appleschorle.

We booked this hotel to be used as a base for our Easter break, to tour the historical sites around Nuremberg. The hotel was located down a little side street in the old part of the city. It turned out to be a lovely stay, and allowed us to see many parts of the city. All within walking distance from our Hotel. We caught the city tram system to visit the document centre and the Zeppelin fields. The hotel was lovely and clean, very polite staff, and the breakfast was was more than ample, offering... The location of this Holiday Inn is perfect for tourists wishing to visit the city on foot. The rooms are clean, quiet, comfortable. Nothing special but the insurance that you will have no unpleasant surprise. Very professional staff and excellent breakfast.

This is one of the better (four star) Holiday Inns in a nice location with quick access to the city centre. Just yards from an underground station, (the hotel is signposted from this), it's a perfect base to explore Nuremberg..

The hotel is in the old town, close to two U-bahn stations and about 10 minutes walk from the main train station. Rooms are clean, with good wardrobe space (no drawers, though) and comfy beds. There is a restaurant and bar; breakfast selection is good. The area is a bit sleazy, with some dubious shops, bars nearby, but it is a short walk into the main old town.

This hotel is just inside the old city wall and VERY near the red light district. It is a 5 minute walk to St Jakob's church and another 10 to Hauptmarkt. It's quite a nice hotel, clean, large...we ended up in an efficiency apartment, so lots of space. Yummy included breakfast. Location does give you lots of walking exercise...20 minute walk to train station.

Stayed with my wife while on business in Nuremberg, really pleasant staff on arrival, lovely big room on top floor, great breakfast with plenty of variety. Slightly shocked that it was so close to the red light district but this did not cause us any issues and was rather amusing.

Didn't even notice that it is in a red light area. Nothing disturbing nearby. Nice walk to the old town. Quiet street and safe to walk back to hotel at dark. Breakfast is good. Something you can look forward to in the morning. Free wifi. Clean rooms and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

Recently stayed for one night during a business trip. The check-in was easy, fast and the staff very kind. The room was quite nice, cleaned, with comfortable bed, absolutely quiet, with a good free Wi-Fi connection and a spacious bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, with home made products, a wide selection of sweet and salty dishes and some specials for gluten or lactose intolerant. The parking garage, even if not free, is big and with a direct access to the hotel lobby. I woul... Read more

I would have been completely fine with this hotel, even though it's in the red light district...if the staff was friendly...they were not accommodating, they did not smile and we're very poorly trained..moral of the story is to avoid Holiday Inn.

The hotel is located just a couple of streets over from old town - we didn't realize this the first night we were there and were a little nervous about the immediate surroundings. We ventured out the next morning and were thrilled with how close old town was and how quickly he could get to all of the shopping and restaurants. However, we did make it a point to get back to our hotel before dark. It's kind of secluded and there are a few bars and strip clubs close by. The rooms were nice and spac... Read more

Over the many years of my life traveling around North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific, this is the best Holiday Inn I've stayed in. It is a large and most comfortable hotel in the old part of Nuremberg. We had a very large room on the top floor with excellent views over parts of the old city. The staff were outstanding. A surprisingly good gym, excellent restaurant and a typical fantastic German breakfast. Exactly what one would expect from a much more expensive hotel. I can't recomme... Read more

Stayed in this hotel May 2016. Excellent location. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Hotel very clean and the rooms were excellent. Ideal for business and weekend break.. The variety of food on offer for breakfast was plentiful. The menu in the bar restaurant was very good and the service commended. We will return to this hotel.

We stayed in an apartment- large living/ sleeping area - a small but useful kitchenette area. I was wary about the reviews of the close by red light district- but shouldn't have been. Having been to New Orleans/ French quarter/ Burbon street many many times- this area of Aldstat has nothing on Burbon St. We're not into late night partying but we did go out extremely early as business was being finished up and We had no issue walking through the area. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, it was expansive and complete with all the trimmings you'd want. The restaurant inside the hotel wasn't bad either for local cuisine and international cuisine also. Room quality was great, we had a room that had a separate living room, could close the door to the bedroom, and two bathrooms! View over the rooftops of the old city was nice also. Great location just inside the medieval old city wall. Don't be deterred by the fact that the redlight district is at... Read more

The stay was very good. The rooms are clean and tidy, had a holiday inn North American feel to them as opposed to a European type cramped feel which was good in my eyes. Within walking distance of a subway station which is great access to the rest of the city. Excellent place to stay when attending Messe. Breakfast buffet was very good and overall I think this is the best hotel I have stayed at in the area. Great shopping, restaurants and attractions close. If there was one negative, the elevat... We arrived at Nuremberg Albrecht Durer Airport following a flight from London Stansted and quickly transferred by taxi directly to the hotel. The fare from the airport to the hotel was 20 euro. We had made a booking at the hotel for a King Bed Superior room for our 6 night stay and Reception upgraded us to an Apartment on the first floor of the hotel - R. 151. Didn't feel like a Holiday Inn (no offense Hoilday Inn). Stayed for business and did not expect such a fantastic room. Top floor; large room, dorm style windows. And clean (most important)! Really excited about the room and the view... At first up I thought I was just seeing a courtyard with the old city wall behind it; it wasn't until after dark I realized I could see the back of the red light district. The hotel is located just next to the Red light district it seems, and very close to a pedestrian onle shopping street. WiFi was very good and stable. I was impressed at the service and variety of the Breakfast, it was very good. Price for the night was also very reasonable. The room it self was clean and very nice.

The hotel is located at the city centre and with the walking distance to the shopping street and the castle. Next to the hotel is the red light street and some bars, it maybe a bit disturbing to hear the drunken men shouting in the evening. The room are a bit aged, but the bed are comfortable enough for you to have the sweet dream. Overall, I love this little hotel.

It was a little tricky to get to the hotel with car due to construction on the street nearby. The entrance to the garage is very narrow and anything other than a compact car will have a problem squeezing in. However, the room we got was surprisingly spacious for a Holiday Inn. I do not have any special status so there was no question of an upgrade. As will all Holiday Inn properties, breakfast is not included and is very pricey. Just step out and you will have a good choice of cafes in the pedes... Read more

This was an over night stay. As we rolled (by car) past the hotel, a man working at a brothel next door (literally) wrote down our plates. Not a very good introduction and I asked the hotel if this is normal behavior or if they worked for the hotel, upon which the hotell personell answered laughingly "No".. Hotel standards was OK - food was mediocre. Not so sure I'd recommend this hotel.

Having stayed numerous times in IHG properties lately, this was probably the worst customer service we received. Being a platinum member, we get a really nice treatment from front desk staff which is always very welcoming in a place away from home. The hotel offers good value when you consider the size of the rooms, the excellent breakfast, the tea and coffee in the room and the sound proofing which needs to be good at weekends! The location is borderline seedy but once inside all is well. Even the bar sells draught Augustiner beer.

Nice comfortable hotel with spacious rooms and friendly staff. Located in a slightly shady part of town (about 50 meters from the red light district) but we never felt unsafe. As long as you walk the opposite direction from the city walls, you will not even notice the red light district. Within walking distance of all the great shopping and Christmans market.
