Arriving late I received the last room on the executive floor - this non-smoking room smelled like somebody had just puffed a pack of cheap Russian cigarettes. I complained the following morning and was moved to another room - this time right behind the employee elevators. From 4AM, every 5' there was this loud click when the motors engaged and somebody moved the elevators up or down. My second room had a chair with armrests that were totally worn and colored out. Location was very good, very close to the S train station lines to the airport and rest of the city. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was decent, clean and comfortable. Another positive side was the wide variety of restaurants in the neighborhood, if you don't feel like a long travel for dinner. Would recommend for a business/leisure stay. Stayed during May 2016 for business.

We spent two good nights here for work. Staff was very friendly and helpful (specifically Johanna in the executive lounge). They made a great recommendation for a local place for beer and dinner. The room was a typical, satisfying hilton king executive room. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Average clean Hilton rooms. Standard amenities although in Europe they tend to only give you one bar of soap for hand washing since most use the shower gel. That's fine. The bathroom in our room could use a refresh and the bathtub drain didn't quite work so it filled as you took a shower. The room doors slam shut so good luck sleeping in. Although I was not greeted as a honors gold and was told I'd have to pay for breakfast, I finally asked the front desk person to check with someone else who di... Read more

The Hilton is centrally located. The S Bahn entrance is right outside the hotel door and makes this a super convienent spot to start any sightseeing trip in Munich. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly! Rooms are clean and comfortable. The only concern for us was that traveling as a family, the only available rooms had 1 king bed which required us to purchase 2 rooms for our party of three. I have been to Munich several times and have always liked this hotel, it is centrally located. You can walk from the hilton to many of the cities highlights in a short time. We walked to the English Garden in about twenty minutes and from there to some of the other sights. The hotel is clean and priced well.

There is an S-Bahn station located right next to the hotel making it very easy to get to Ostbahnhof and Neuperlach. Most crucially, its location is very nice in Munich, which does not (yet) have an airport express. An easy walk into the old town, not far from the English Garden, and conveniently located directly above the Rosenheimerplatz train station for easy access to the main train station, the airport, and surrounding areas. I'd definitely stay here if in Munich again.

The hotel is located 2 S-Bahn stops from the city center. The Stop is right under the hotel. The train goes directly from the hotel to the airport. Room was large. Breakfast was great. You can but a train ticket from the concierge.

Stayed 3 nights with 2 adults and 2 kids and was lucky enough to be upgraded to a Junior suite. The room was big and spacious and we really appreciated the extra space for the family. Our first impressions were excellent. A few negatives were that when we checked in we were told they were cleaning the room now but it took over an hour for the room to be ready. When I went to the bathroom I found 5 hairs in the bath so not quite sure what the cleaning lady was up to. Also, there was no free wat... Read more

From arrival to departure, the staff were great. The front desk, those who helped with our bags, concierge- these people were the ones that made the hotel remarkable. There was good variety in the breakfat offering.

This hotel is acceptable for business travel and is located a short walk to the river. The air barely worked in my room and when you opened the window the air shut off au. Seem a bit old and tired. Wi-fi not so dependable

I stay in this hotel often and have written on it before. Overall it is convenient, being right above Rosenheimer Platz on the S8 line, but sadly now in need of some renovation. I understand this will start next year. However, the staff are all fully functional, and very friendly and eager to please. Service at the Starbucks cafe is good, and all the staff in the executive lounge are good. If I were to single out one person, it would be Johanna from the executive lounge, who always greeted ... It is what it is, reasonable rooms, reasonable position, soulless, and no warmth. Crowded and impersonal. Must say the friendliest staff were the cleaning staff who were delightful. No gym, business hotel with no gym! If I knew that would never had stayed. Unless you like the chains I am sure you can do better.

We enjoyed two nights at the Hilton Munich-City. While done in a very contemporary design the room was very comfortable especially as we caught up with the time zones. As Hilton gold members I always hope to get use of the executive lounge. Due to occupancy during our stay it was available only to diamond member but the free and amazing breakfast in the restaurant, drink coupons for the lounge, and two chocolate bars at check in seemed more than a pleasant welcome. The concierges could not ... Read more

Stayed one night on short notice. Nice room upgrade and use of executive lounge for diamond members. Would stay here again. S8 train from airport is quicker than S1. Exit at Rosenheimer. Walk toward front of train after exiting S8, to rear if S1, since they approach from opposite directions. The stairwell on that end should place you next to Hilton entrance and elevator to lobby. Otherwise exit is on street within a block. As I was taking train back to airport to check in at the airport Hilto... Read more

Went to the Hilton City, Munich on work. The pre-arrival communications were great and verty quick. During the short stay the hotel staff(check in, concierge and restaurant were al very professional and helpful and very cheerful too. The room was very comfortable and nice and clean. I'd have no hestiation returning for a stay there. The metro is 1 min away if that(Rosheimer Platz) which make commutng easy but also the town centre is at most 30 mins walk so convenient to do that if needed(which I... Read more

I stayed here for 4 nights on business. This is very conveniently located hotel in a nice neighbourhood. The hotel can be accessed easily from the airport by a local train S8, which is quicker and cheaper (10.80‚?¨ by train vs. approx. 70‚?¨ by taxi). You can access the train station directly from the hotel lobby. This station is one stop away from the East station and from there you have access to allover the city. Rooms are OK, bathrooms as well, maybe updating wouldn't harm. Breakfast is very... Read more

We stayed for two nights in the Hilton Munich city. The location was amazing, it was actually attached to the subway station so very easy to get around and to/from the airport. Only about 5 stops away from Oktoberfest which was great. The hotel room was spacious and staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

I had left a small travel adapter in my room when I checked out on Sunday and sent an email requesting for the hotel to mail it to me at Hamburg if they managed to find it. I didn't receive a response so I followed up with a phone call, and I was told that they would look into it and respond to my email. This morning a DHL guy showed up and asked me to pay 15 EUR for the delivery charges. The adapter was really small and I was expecting it to be mailed by normal domestic mail, and the hotel nev... We were vacationing in Germany and enjoyed a three night stay in Munich at the Hilton with another couple and single traveler (three rooms). We couldn't have been more pleased. We arrived late (9pm) so check in was easy and our rooms were available. Staff at check in desk were very pleasant. I apologize, but I did not get names. Our rooms and amenities were adequate. No problems with outdated rooms as others have mentioned. We loved the location, which worked well regarding getting to the ho... Read more

So glad we picked the Hilton for our overnight stay in Munich. Not only is the location convenient, but the hotel staff, concierge & reception staff is very polite, professional and informative! Which some might say is their job, but these people went beyond to provide great customer service! Especially regarding getting wifi in the room. Breakfast was amazing with good variety. Will definitely return for a longer stay. Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic hotel that is close to attractions such as Marienplatz, Karlsplatz and Deutsches Museum. With in-hotel elevator access to the SBahn, you're well-connected and can access pretty much all of Munich and the train station conveniently. I wrote a long review on my 7-8 September and 16-21 September stays in Hilton Munich City, but the TripAdvisor app crashed and all was lost, so I will just tabulate everything. 7-8 Sept 2016 - Thanks to Diamond status and the good service at rec... This is our second time here. We arrived in Munich by train and didn't have to go outside to get there from main station. Directions given on Hilton website are perfect. Very easy to find. Also, only 2 stops away from Marian Platz. Can even purchase transportation tickets and get directions at the hotel. Great service.
