My family and I booked this hotel for a weekend trip. Upon arrival, the staff was helpful and friendly. I had specifically requested a room with a double bed, but was given a room with two twin beds instead. It wasn't a big enough deal to make a fuss about, but still worth a mention. The shower would sway from steaming hot to ice cold without touching the faucet. The breakfast was very nice, and the location was only a short walk from the city center.

Booked this hotel for a double months ago and confirmed several times. When we arrived, they said they were all out of doubles. They gave us a very small room and said they would push the beds together. Room was very small, rug was soiled and bathroom and shower were so small, we could barely fit it, even though we are both small people. Five hours later someone finally came, after repeated calls, to move the beds. Since the room was so small, it became quite problematic. When we moved or ... Read more

Very helpful and nice staff, clean room - perhaps some people would say it's small, but for a single traveller I think is enough - and a great breakfast buffet. Oh, and free wifi which actually works. The location is perfect to get to the underground (just 2 minutes walking) and to visit the city centre. I would definetely recommend this hotel for a city trip!

Small and nice hotel located at the edge of Altstadt, 3 minutes walk from Sendlinger Tor. Hotel has all facilities you might expect from 3-star hotel in quite fair condition. Breakfast was nice, served from 6:30 (those who aim to leave early to Hohenschwangau should ask for a take-away; prosecco, cage-free eggs and selection of jams made by their chef are available), staff is helpful and efficient, overall great value for money.

Small but very nice hotel, good location and convenient for metro service, staff very helpful, clean rooms, good service, breakfast very good. Car parking garage space was available that was what we required.

We stayed here 25th to 27th of May, and absolutely loved it! Our train got us into Munich at 7am. We went to the hotel to leave our bags and were told we could just check into our room then, we were pretty happy after a long train! The young guy with glasses at reception was fantastic. So friendly and always there to help. The rooms were adequate size and the bathroom was pretty modern. The breakfast was the best we've had since arriving in Europe 3 weeks ago - 3 options for eggs, sausages, past... Read more

The location of the hotel to the city center is a strong selling point along with its wonderful breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would probably stay again. Rooms were modest size, a bit tight for the 4 of us. TV had some basic channels. WiFi was a bit weak in the room and worked better in certain spots. Worked much better in the lobby/breakfast area. Clean/good value.

We stayed in one of the "apartment" rooms with 2 single beds, a couch-bed and a full kitchen. The entire stay was quite good except for 2 minor things. The elevator on the apartment side only goes up to the 4th floor and ours was one of the 3 apartments on the 5th. The only other minor complaint was no air conditioning. Luckily, it was only needed 1 night during our 4 night stay, but sometimes a fan is just not enough. Other than those, this hotel was a wonderful place to stay. Easy access to ol... Read more

Five of us stayed in the apartment from this hotel. It's just less than 5 minutes walk to Underground train and about 15 minutes to Haupbahnhof. It's just 10 minutes to walk to Marienplatz. The hotel itself quite nice and comfortable enough. Wifi is not that great but the breakfast is very good.

The night porter disputed the agreed and pre-paid rate with me when checking in. He was extremely rude and aggressive over a 10 EUR supplement which I refused to pay out of priciple. He ended up calling the person with whom I made the booking so we could sort it out between ourselves. Needless to say, the 10 EUR was waived but the stay was spoilt. I send an email to complain, then a letter and haven't had a response. The room was basic and relatively clean.

Grubby room. Very old decor and the tv was hilarious. Think that huge chunk of a model went out 10 years ago. Why bother to have it in the room? The only thing that saves this hotel a mark was the very nice and varied breakfast

We stayed here for four nights total at the beginning and end of a trip to Bavaria. We had a fantastic experience with this hotel and I would highly recommend it! Location is great- nice area, quiet at night, right by the Sendlinger Tor U-Bahn stop and easy walking distance to Marienplatz and all the major sights. The apartment was spacious and spotlessly clean. The shower had great water pressure and the free wifi worked well. The breakfast was amazing, with a very wide variety of meats, cheese... Read more

We booked this hotel because we read excellent comment in TA, but not so great. Its about 15 min walking from the train station and 60 min to the airport by subway. Checking in and out easy and fast. The receptionist were very kind and helpful. We arrived late at night and were given the last room available, although we had reservation. A room in the top floor, with a tilted roof and no AC. Very uncomfortable. The second night they offered a room but facing the street with lots of noise, so we s... Read more

The breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice and plenty of it, set us up perfectly for the day! Location ideal for the main square and right near the underground if you don't want to walk. We got clean towels everyday and the staff at reception were helpful and friendly. WiFi worked a treat! Nice courtyard for smoking and drinking outside. Requested a double room but was given a twin and the room was tiny. Glad we had a fan as it was very small and stuffy in there. Shower was awful, kept going h... Read more

Good location, 10 minute walk from Munich Hbf, 10 minutes from Marienplatz, 2 minutes from U-Bahn and trams. Staff helpful and nice. Room decent size but tired looking, had a little kitchenette. Fantastic breakfast. Lots of places to eat close by.

I Went to Múnich with my family in July 2016 and stay at carat hotel , it offer a great service , rooms comfortable for the price and good breakfast buffet . Is only block and a half of the metro and around five to six blocks of Marienplatz . Is a safe area you can walk with your kids at night. The hotel offer to store your luggage before or after your check in or check out . I think is a good option for the price if you are traveling on budget.

Stayed in Munich for about a week and I needed somewhere cheap to stay. That is the benefit of this place- cheap and decent location but that's about it. Don't expect a warm staff or sophisticated guests. I can get past the old decor of the rooms and the stains on the carpet... The things that were just a bit annoying were the housekeeping: often not refilling my tp, soap, etc. The dreary room was never vacuumed, and it needed to be, as there was a layer of dust under the bed with trash from las... The hotel is situated about 45-50 Min train ride from the Munich Airport. It is an apartment style building with the small lobby. The highlight is the nice hearty breakfast with the variety of choices including breads, eggs, sausages, juices and cereals. The room we stayed were on the smaller side but serve the purpose of the 2 night stay. We are not fussy travellers and don't expect the best. We found this accommodation to be very well priced and in a prime position to explore Munich. Just a short walk to the train and only a few stops to Marionplatz in the centre of the city. Having said that it's also walkable. It takes about 20 minutes. The staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly. We upgraded from a hotel room to a 1 bed apartment because we wanted more space and a kitchen. The staff were very accommodating of our late ... Surprisingly big room included kitchenette with stovetop, oven, fridge and microwave. Front desk service is outstanding. Included breakfast is huge and very high quality - fresh squeezed orange juice, mozzarella and tomatoes, stuffed olives, meat and cheese platter, yogurt and fruit bar ... just a few of the items. Hotel room was very good, with some nice amenities such as fridge and air-conditioning controllable from a thermostat in the room. The main manager-host is very professional and friendly. We struck up a conversation and the next thing I know, he upgraded our stay for free breakfast - which is an option I know now that you shouldn't pass up when staying here. Best breakfast on our entire European trip. If we return to Munich, we'll definitely stay here again.

Rooms are ok. Perfectly clean and mantiene, not much large but perfectly reasonable. Excellent Breakfast gets you to a strong start in the morning. Some 15 minutes walk from the city centre made ls it at good choice for tourism at a reasonable price. Good wifi connection. Just 3 minutes walk from one on the main subway stations gives easy access to all city attractions beyond the centre. Not a luxury hotel but a very convenient one.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a group who were visiting Munich for a weekend. I was very surprised. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and had all you needed. Didn't use the kitchen but all you needed was there. Breakfast was very good. Hotel is next to train station. Very easy to find after coming from the airport. Location is close to the main station and shops. I will return if I'm in Munich.

Do not expect anything outstanding. The man at the counter took 6 minutes to check us in because he was at his phone attending a private call. The room was smelly and poorly maintained, clean but not nice. Breakfast was very basic in a very uncomfortable place, narrow and small. I am under the impression that is more a middle eastern guests hotel. Very well located.

Good location, 10 minute walk to the festival. The hotel is basic but clean, the breakfast was ok as was the staff. The room had the towels changed daily and the beds made, but, has we had a kitchen you are expected to wash any cups etc which was no big. If I had to sum the hotel up it would be it's ok no more, no less and average value

Staying on the 6th floor was very interesting especially when the lift broke down on three of the four days we were there. The location of the Hotel is ideal to access all the things in Munich such as MarienPlatz and Oktoberfest activities. All areas of Munich is well served with Trains and Trams which means could do better in another hotel with access and superior facilities.

The rooms were comfortable and the staff helped us out immensely. The best part would have to be the buffet breakfast every morning!!!!
