Anna Hotel is a solid hotel with a nearly perfect location. You're in easy walking distance (a few minutes) from most of the tourist sights and shopping in Munich (Marienplatz, Viktualenmarket, Glockenspiel, are five +/- minutes away; Residenz and English Gardens about 15 minutes away). You're also a block away from the Karlsplatz train station which has an incredibly easy and direct train to get to and from the airport - a cab ride is a waste of money and saves no time). The hotel and the rooms... Read more

Cool design throughout. Every staff member was terrific helping us with restaurant reviews and reservations, directions and more. All delightful and friendly. Rooms were nice sized and beds comfortable. No tub but that doesn't matter to me. Noisy street on back side so turn on the AC or fan and your white noise app. But most revelers are gone by 11 unless there's a soccer celebration. Breakfast is a la cart or buffet and good but a bit expensive. Tons of other options just outside. Location ... Read more

It's so lovey to have drinks at this bar mostly because of the staff. They're organized, cute, smiley, honest and quick :) We went 2 nights in a row and will definitely come back. It's close to Marienplatz so it's not hard to find and if you'll leave tipsy (which is highly expected) you'll find your way easily :)

We were really taken with the wonderful time we had at this hotel. It didn't start well. Our booking was made incorrectly by the travel agent and was cancelled as a no show. But thanks to the wonderful service provided by Karina we were given a room. She dealt with the situation really well for someone so young. Great service made our stay very worthwhile.

Booked to stay 2 nights here for a conference in the city centre. The bar is really nice, the location is great (2 minutes from train station), the room I was given was really, really cool (nice outdoor terrace overlooking the city centre of Munich. The only gripe - on the first day one of the elevators wasn't working. Not uncommon, made the wait a bit longer but no big issue. The second day neither of the 2 elevators was working - I was on the top floor (thankfully only floor 6) and had to wal... Read more

In terms of service and location the Anna Hotel is my favourite place in Munich. Checked in here again but this time it was even better than before as I was upgraded to their Tower Suite. Marvellous space on the top floor, 2 balconies, spaceous living area and the biggest bathroom I have stayed in for a very long time. Of course, this experience does not really count as it was an unexpected upgrade. But, if ever the Tower Suite should be available or offered to you: grab it;-) On a very positive... Read more

This was my first stay at Anna Hotel and I must say it was a pleasant one. The staff was really great, always very friendly and helpful. The location is probably one of the best in Munich, very close to everything. Room was very clean and I loved the shower as well as the comfy bed. Only the blinds don't really do their job. I woke up by the first sunrays at around 6h30am. Outch! The breakfast buffet was all right. The choice of cheese and cold cuts could have been bigger in my opinion but al... Read more

This hotel has a great modern style and very friendly and helpful front desk staff. The location is ideal for arrivals/departures is the train station, as it is a very short walk, but also easy access to all the sights Munich has to offer. Most beautiful room of our Europe trip.

The best is clearly the location of this hotel. Had a nice room with good wifi. The bed was just queen size which is a little small for us. It is difficult to get there by car and when you finally get there you must quickly unload your luggage and move the car. Parking is expensive at euro 25.- but this seems normal price in downtown Munich

This hotel is in a perfect location. Close to the center of the city and right next to the central train station. We stayed on the top floor (6th floor) in room 3, a Panorama Room. The room was a very large corner room with a private terrace with views of famous city landmarks. The staff were very pleasant and helpful with directions and recommendations.

We stayed here for two nights. And it was quite nice. Good breakfast and bar. I also like the restaurant. I arrived at 1pm after a transatlantic night flight from Texas and was able to check into the room immediately which I greatly appreciate. My husband arrived a little later and was given the second key without any problems. The room was normal sized, light and had a big and clean bathroom, which we liked a lot. Unfortunately, common in many German hotels, there are only two big and two small... Read more

Everything we have ordered was not tasty (tomato sauce pasta, chicken, brownie) or terrible (coffee). Moreover, it was *very* expensive. There were not enough waitress for all the tables so we had to wait every time we wanted something.

This hotel is located on a Pedestrian street, 5 minutes walk from the main railway station. The decor is modern, the staff are extra friendly all thru the hotel. The restaurant has really funky decor and excellent food (some with definite Japanese flavour) and waiters. We enjoyed our stay very much. One problem was lack of shelving in the bathroom - there was none, lots of room for it too?? Would stay there again if in Munich.

The entire staff, especially the front desk, the restaurant wait staff, and the maid service, was FABULOUS!! Many thanks to Catrina and Hella, two amiable front desk workers, for all their help. Read the reviews before coming, and definitely lived up to expectations. Very friendly staff, centrally located, pet friendly, terrific night cap cocktails (you have to try the White Russian - best I've EVER had) and beautiful rooms. The staff actually upgraded us for no apparent reason. Only reason this doesn't get a 5, is because of the very limited buffet that was over priced. That said, I'll be the first to book a stay here when returning to Munich. I'll just order from the regular menu f... Read more

We pre-booked and pre-paid for three nights at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious and the bathroom spacious and a good shower. When we arrived in the room we found a stale odour in the room (a bit like a hospital ward smell) and the phone did not work. We contacted the hotel and received an attendant very quickly. They replaced the phone but housekeeping's way of dealing with the odour was to spray deodorant. We respectfully refused it. Elevators very tiny. The bed was two mattress... Read more

My colleague and I stayed at Anna Hotel for a business trip. Everything about the hotel was perfect - from check in, to directions, the rooms, breakfast, settling the invoice, the staff and the nice bottle of water that was given as we were leaving. The rooms in particular were a good size and the bathroom was quite big. I will definitely return!

I stayed here on business for three nights. The front desk staff was friendly and top notch efficient. My room was not ready when I got there but they called me promptly when it was. Hotel is in an excellent location, an easy walk to Odenplatz, and from there a lovely walk through the pedestrian way to MArienplatz and the market. The hotel is easily reachable from the airport by public transport and is centrally located to visit Munchen by walking. We had a warm welcome and a room upgrade. The room (Turmzimmer/Towerroom) is really nice and very spacious. Pitty that the room can't be made entirely dark. About the restaurant: breakfast (until 11am) is extensive; the menu for the evening is rather limited.

We booked this based on reviews on this website and was note disappointed. Perfectly located near the main train station and right on the Marienplatz, made getting around a breeze; walk out the front door and it's all right there. Housekeeping was outstanding; front desk was efficient. Bar couldn't have been any better.

With a 3 minute walk from the main station to the hotel, this hotel has the best location in Munich. It is right opposite Karlsplatz and the tower suite on the 1st floor has a view of the old city gate. It is 2 subway stops to Oktoberfest venue. Great bar downstairs.

We booked the Tower Suite on the top floor for a brief stopover in Munich for Oktoberfest and was blown away. The pictures on the website hardly to the room justice. The room itself takes up the entire eastern side of the hotel overlooking the Karlsplatz with floor to ceiling windows and huge terraces on both sides of the room looking down both Schutzenstrase and Bayerstrase. We will definitely be coming back to the Anna and the Tower Suite

I'm not giving this hotel five stars simply because it's not the most glitzy hotel. While it's rooms are really small and made me claustrophobic, and eventually someone succumbs to the chasm between the two mattresses, and the bars a block away resound against the buildings right to our window.... We got a bed, room service, a shower, free cappuccinos all day, a breakfast for 8 euros... Somewhere affordable to stay for two nights. Half an hour away from the airport via taxi. It did the job.

We stayed at Anna Hotel in late June and then one additional night in July after spending two weeks traveling in Germany and Austria. Stayed in this 'boutique' hotel and I certainly do not recommend it to any traveling couples. The rooms are small for the price and very noisy at night. There is apparently room service but not for water, coffee or any alcoholic drinks. The shower was pretty bad and switched between hot and cold frequently. The staff have an air of arrogance about them which isn't pleasant. Bar is lively on the Friday, but probably better to visit rather than stay in the hotel.

I We had the Panoramic Room at the back of the hotel, it was too large and open...didn't feel secure. Front desk staff repeatedly gave out wrong information/directions. The hotel is in a great location, handy for the hop on/off bus , McDonalds, Pizza Hut and KFC if you don't want a big meal, also close to the Pedestrian zone (shopping) . This is a very well and centrally located hotel, just by the metro station, although directions to it on the web site aren't the easiest to follow. My room was spacious, with comfy bed, bathroom also large, with fast and almost instant hot water. However, being central comes with consequences, namely street noise throughout the night. Trams, cars, people, you name it I heard it.
