I spent 2 nights at this hotel during the last two days of the Oktober fest since hotels around Munich center had sky rocketing prices during that period. I needed to be near the Gasteig for a concert and Preicing was convenient. Anyway, the S baan gets you everywhere in Munich. Never mind the high price, but I got a tiny room with a single bed that faced the inner court yard. Quiet but without a view. The wi-fi (at max. Eur.7 a day) takes ages to start and the tric is to simply wait for 3-4 min... Read more

Neat, quiet family type hotel located next to Gasteig in Haidhausen, with a short walk to the S-Bahn station for fast access downtown or to the airport. Rooms are smallish as is the bathroom, but contain all essentials. Also the lobby is small just for passers-by and there is a restaurant for continental-type breakfast service only. The hotel is clean and well maintained, supported by a minimum, though quite friendly, staff. There are several good restaurants in the vicinity. Wifi is available ... Read more

Hotel Preysing is a good hotel. Actually it is a very good hotel. It is located just beside the Gasteig culture center. For concert goers it is a perfect place to stay. It is very easy to acces from airport ( with S8j. Also the tramline is located just around the corner so you can wether take tram or walk 10 minutes to inner centre. The hotel stuff is nice and helpfull. Everything is clean. The is not much noice from outside and it is also quite well soundproof inside. The breakfast is good and ... Read more

This hotel is a gem even though it is not an economy hotel. The room looked brand new, with sparkling white tiled bath (spacious--not a cubbyhole where it is difficult to dry off after a shower). There is a tub as well as shower. My room had a long, single bed which had a control to raise, lower and adjust height of incline, etc. The room floor was a deep hardwood color, although I'm not sure if it was laminate or tile, but very attractive nonetheless. There was a fridge and a widescreen smart... Read more

Lacks flair but makes up with very clean and large room and friendly service. Very little to comment on, which means that it did what it promised to do! I did not have breakfast so can't comment on that, but all in all a good experience.

Traveling around the world for business since 20 years this hotel had the most uncomfortable beds/mattress I ever had to sleep in. Otherwise the hotel is not bad. right next to the Philharmonie and walking distance to city center.

I spent four nights at the Preysing while attending a conference hosted by LMU and had a very nice experience. The rooms are large, well appointed, spotlessly clean, and very quiet; the style is a nice mix between traditional and modern. Staff is welcoming and professional. Breakfast is a nice cut above average for German hotels, with a good selection of fresh fruits, breads, and cereals as well as meats and cheeses. Nearby tram line (right around corner) and U-Bahn station (~5 minute walk) ... Read more

This place is very old school. Not much soul, but functional. Booked a single room? You‚??ll get a tiny single room. With a tiny single bed. I was surprised such small rooms/beds still exist. Internet worked fine (possible to stream). Bathroom is a bit oddly designed and compact, but OK. Pillows are highly uncomfortable ‚?? they are huge but super thin. A bit hard to explain ‚?? check out the photo. Took several tries with housekeeping to get it (somewhat) addressed. Ty... Read more

We decided last minute to spend two nights in Munich on our way to Prague and the priority was a hotel with air conditioning. After spending two nights in Lucerne and then two nights in Chur Switzerland with no air conditioning and warm hotel rooms, we had to have a/c over location. We were pleasantly surprised by everything this hotel had to offer. The location was great, close to an Underground, 15 minute walk to Marienplatz, good neighborhood, and good restaurants all around. The a/c was actu... Read more
