We had a fabulous stay here.It was a bonus to be offered a smoking room. The room was pleasant enough although there were stains on the carpet. There was a maxi fridge on every floor, so I emptied it of it's white wine which was half the price of the bars. There was one very unfriendly bar tender giving no eye contact or even a smile...maybe she was just having a bad day. The spa was fabulous and very relaxing. There was a huge selection for breakfast which I could not fault. As I was waiting to be... Read more

Located at walking distance to most attractions in town and to main train station and other transport. Our room was spacious enough for us and fairly clean. We had enough space for our clothes and the bathroom is well laid out (huge mirrors are a welcome touch!) though the rain-shower may not be to everyone's taste. However the carpet could have done with a thorough clean (and this is why I gave only 3 stars for cleanliness - I feel carpets in room should not have stains, especially at a 4-star ... Read more

The location of the Penta is conveniently close to the centre of town and the main train terminus and tram routes. The decor in the hotel is a tad eccentric and perhaps not to everyone's taste but I enjoyed the look of it very much. The staff were friendly and helpful an the swimming pool was a welcome break when not busy.

As ever the hotel is welcoming and the food is good. The spa was appreciated but lacked atmosphere. It was more public pool that luxury hideaway. The bar and foyer lounge was well stocked and the other guests on WGT weekend always make it worthwhile. I will consider upgrading to the Club facilities in future. The rooms are a little basic as standard but they are clean and well kept. More free English language TV channels would be appreciated.

After staying in a few other hotels in Leipzig, this one was the best so far. Very nice hotel. Nice, clean rooms with comfortable beds, spacy hall with good bar and restaurant/food. Nice additional features like pool, jacuzzi and pool tables. Everything okay? Personally, I think the wifi could be better and I did not like the small and soft pillows. But overall these are minor details. However, the price for parking is unnecessary expensive. Better to park across the street, for half the price.

â?¬161 for a suite where the 'lounge' room looked straight into the bedroom No Fridge in a top end suite. Every other hotel I have stayed at in Leipzig has had one. No ice machine, you have to beg for a glass of ice at the bar. Room serviced 3 times in a 7 day stay. 2 small towels. Staff kept turning on the A/C so the room was blistering hot, well over 30C when I got back in the middle of the night (and yes I understand how European A/C works) The bar is cool but find somewhere else to stay & j... The hotel is designed for business travellers, which is certainly ok for tourists like me.It adds efficiency to a good location. Train travellers enjoy the walk from the Hbf. The town can be noisy, but the hotel is located in a small corner of the city, very quiet indeed. Nice rooms, very nice bathroom. Breakfast very good ( not included) . I made a remark on noisy hotel activities very early in the morning.

The hotel is very nice, comfortable and modern. I really enjoyed staying there. It has a very cool and super beautiful bar. Pool and Sauna is working 24 hours. Food quality very good, great morning breakfast. The rooms clean and super stylish. Location is also good!

The hotel is worth staying at and has lots of positives such as unique interior, very friendly staff and a central location. However I can only rate it average for the following reasons: 1) the aisles, not the rooms, have a smell that suggests only one thing: re-decoration overdue; 2) in those lovely rooms there is no water kettle, no ironing board nor other little things that one would consider standard nowadays 3) 19 Euros for breakfast is an annoying when you belong to those 50% of mankind w... Stayed in Leipzig on business and couldn't book our normal hotel due to the ACDC concert in town. So ended up here and wasn't disappointed. The Lobby has a great bar and decent food, so looking for a dinner spot was easy. Breakfast was amazing. Only drawback is that the rooms (my room) either had paper walls or door - I could here my neighbors chatting (probably about the concert). Still, I would come back.

Very impress modern hotel. Reception is like a stylish disco bar wow. The staff are very friendly and speak english also. My room was clean with modern decoration with big flat smart tv. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choices. The hotel location is good in a 10 minute walking distance to town center. The only problem that i had it was the free slow internet.

Minor irritations were poor internet, flat pillows and only one price for breakfast, 19 Euro's, which is extremely expensive if one does not eat a lot, like ourselves. Fortunately as the hotel is on an excellent location breakfast could be had from 5 Euro just minutes away.

Our group stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is quite modern and comfortable, and the staff is very helpful. My internet connection was free, but rather slow. Breakfast was disappointing, with scrambled eggs that were too salty to eat and canned fruit in the middle of summer. My room was spacious and comfortable, but looked out on the front courtyard where there was seating and it could be very loud at night. The hotel really should tell people to quiet down after a certain hour.

Overall: This hotel is nothing more than a factory for processing corporate staff conventions. Everything is geared to that, not to individual travellers. For example, the breakfast buffet (poor quality, by the way) is served only until 10 am and then the lights in the room are dimmed in order to get the guests out so that staff can set up for the corporate clients' lunch buffet. As a non-corporate guest if you want to eat lunch at the hotel you are not allowed sit at one of the restaurant table... Read more

Penta Plus room, breakfast, and wellness was perfect. Staff if friendly, interior design is funny and interesting. Rooms are kept clean. Only thing I did not like was the bedding: pillows and blankets are filled with feather, I'm allergic to it...

I stayed at the hotel for a conference (which was also in house). The service was very good, the receptionists professional and friendly. The rooms were clean, not noisy and I liked the style. Close to the main station this place is also very well connected. The only downside is the crappy wi-fi provided by MyCloud. The free version is not usable at all and the "premium" far below average. As this was a business trip, stuff like this is a huge bummer. Please do something about it!

Modern, clean and pleasant rooms, friendly and helpful service, loungy reception/bar, good and varied breakfast. But: free Wifi is painfully slow, in fact unusable if you actually want to work. Of course there is an option to buy faster internet, but for me saying that there is free Wifi is misleading if the quality is that poor. And a minor point: I stayed for a week, but complimentary water was only provided the first night. Why is unclear to me as the room price was the same in night 2 - 7. B... Read more

A very nice and hip hotel, check in at the central bar open 24h, as are the indoor swimming pool and gym. The room was very large with a bathroom and a separate extra toilet. Large double bed and a corner with sofa and chairs. Everything new and clean. Underground parking available but a little pricey, free parking in the surrounding streets a possibility.

We have made our reservation online one hour before coming. The foyer has been nice decorated, but the music has been too loud. Price for overnight parking is a little bit high. The assignment to an hotel parking lot can be described more precisely.

We very liked this hotel, especially swimming pool, gym and sauna. The only strange thing is that men in Germany are going sauna completely naked, despite that fact that there was women. That was kind of terrible.

1 day stay during 2 week tour of Germany: hotel was lovely, approach and location was a bit scruffy, 'old east German but with graffitti and became only a little better as we arrived nearer the hotel itself. Consequently we stayed within the hotel and did not walk around the city at all during the evening we were there. Dined in - the hotel seems to be designed to cater for U.S. travellers primarily - e.g. restaurant menu choices and CNN & National Geographic on TV.

I would love to give this hotel 5 stars, as the rooms, the staff and the general ambience is awesome. The Wifi though is a total joke and simply unacceptable in a modern high quality hotel such as this. The standard wifi is ridiculously slow, taking up to 5 minutes to download a single text email (forget surfing even standard web pages). The Premium wifi is expensive and also very very slow (not good enough to stream even low resolution movies). I do not understand what is going through the mind... Read more

This is a really upbeat hotel with great 60's decor. We liked our room. It was quiet, but the lounge was busy and loud. The parking seemed high for not being in the city center. It is easy to drive to the city center and park in Augustusplatz. You can also walk in, but probably better not to walk back late at night. We did not eat at the hotel. There is a great konditori just off of Augustusplatz, on the walking street, which is has lots to offer - sandwiches, pastries, museli, and hot dr... Read more
