Mercure hotel is located 10 min walking from the train station and 20 min walking distance from the old town, 300 meters from the Zoo in Leipzig. Tram station just 50 meters from the hotel entrance. Hotel has 5 floors with nice and new design. Rooms quite comfortable, we had with nice balcony overlooking the city. Staff was young and friendly. Breakfast much better than expected, very good selection of fresh food, pastries, Nespresso coffee!!! With 5-7 different selection (nice). So if you plan ... Read more

I really like this hotel. This is about the 4th or 5th time I've been to Leipzig and I changed hotels for this visit because I particularly wanted to be close to the station. Good move. The hotel is clean, new and modern, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I have to say I ddin't spend much time in the hotel but it proved to be an excellent place to flake out after the St Matthew Passion at the Thomaskirche.

Leipzig is okay for a overnight stop, as its Manchester where everybody speaks German. The hotel was close to the train station and the city center. There are a limited number of sights to see but it was still a good stop over on the way to Prague.

Very nice rooms with minibar. Breakfast is a buffet with lots of good quality and fresh products. Staff is very friendly and helpful. No bar or restaurant, perhaps interesting to have some quick snacks available. Price quality f the hotel is very good

We loved the clever designer details and the space. We had two proper armchairs which was very relaxing for our longer stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast gorgeous - anything from scrambled eggs, bacon sausages to various kinds of bread, rolls, cheese etc and cake. I especially liked all the diffe... Read more
