We enjoyed 2 nights in this Holiday Inn Express which has a great location. The staff was exceptional giving us suggestions for touring, some basic items and helping with the car park. The room was good, comfortable and bathroom facilities were excellent. The breakfast was plentiful, good and we also enjoyed a drink at the bar. The wi-fi was disappointing in the room, requiring us to locate in the lobby for decent connections.

The Holiday Inn Express Heldelberg Center is in the perfect location for exploring the city yet quiet. The hotel is just minutes from shopping, restaurants and sightseeing places. Our room was clean with a nice flat screen tv and many channels. Parking for our car was just around the corner and 15 Euro. Bath amenities are Dove. Ladies if you need hair conditioner bring our own. The room has ample closet space and a safe, The wifi was reliable and fast. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of meat... Read more

This was a good choice for several reasons. It was 10 minute walk from the train station, a straight shot. After unloading our suitcases, we walked to the historical section of Heidelberg,20 minute walk to dinner, shopping, the castle, everything we wanted to visit. This room was large compared to our last two hotels. Clean, and great breakfast.

This is a good budget hotel at Heidelberg. Location is excellent, just at the city center, station is 10 minutes walking distance. All restaurants are in close proximity. Breakfast is standard. Like other Holiday inn express rooms are small with all standard facilities. We stayed here three nights, staffs are helpful. Wifi with good speed. Overall it is a good hotel to stay.

This hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance of attractions and great restaurants. Staff is very nice and they have a nice bar and restaurant on site. The rooms are small but very cozy and functional! I loved the bathroom and overall very well maintained and clean. Parking is ok considering that you are in downtown area, 15 euros per night in a covered parking. The way I see the hotels is thinking "Is this the place where I will bring my family with me when traveling on family ... Read more

Nice, clean hotel situated within easy walking to amenities. The room was large enough for my wife and I and we had a fabulous night sleep. No restaurant but there is a varied choice of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was really good and set us up nicely for the day. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit

Excellent location, 5 minutes to city centre. Around 10 minutes to train station. Across the street tram and bus station. Big supermarket in the same building of the hotel. Everything near you. Don't miss this hotel.

What does one expect from a holiday inn express in Germany? In, out, clean, standard breakfast. This one is a nice walk to old town. Nice shop and bakery on the ground floor. Bus and tram right at the door. So it is very convenient for a day or two to stay at beautiful Heidelberg.

Stayed for a weekend...location is fine and easy walking distance to all the Heidelberg sites and train station. Check in is on the 2nd floor (ok 1st floor by german definition) service was quick, efficient and down right express. Room was nice and updated with a good shower (no tub) and a nice bluish led bathroom light. Not a large room by any stretch. Did not try the breakfast but did have a few beers at the bar/check in desk area... way overpriced in my opinion.

was not the greatest stay I have experienced, WIFI kept disconnecting when i finally managed to get on it, ran out of shower gel in the bathroom on day 3 obviously was not topped up, lucky I had some with me, my bin was not emptied in my room on the same day. LG flat screen TV with several British channels, comfortable bed with a choice of pillows. Breakfast was average. Hotel is not to far from main train station so good location if you need to get about. Desk staff were polite and helpful, pi... Read more

Stayed here for four nights as a base for the German Grand Prix at nearby Hockenheim. It's a straightforward hotel in the budget line of the chain. New. Rooms are comfortable, with a safe and a wardrobe (though not so much other storage space). Bathrooms clean and modern. The quality of housekeeping was high. Breakfast in the sun-dappled courtyard was nice. Convenient for the train station - there is also a tram stop right outside (though note that if you take a tram into the old town, it is sti... Stayed here as base for recent German Grand Prix, which was only a short drive away. Perfectly located to explore Heidelberg from otherwise, with comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. The staff are also extremely helpful. It's otherwise a reasonably basic hotel, so don't expect other facilities. Parking is also not free.

We booked here for a weekend getaway to get to see Heidelberg. Finding the hotel is easy, and the car parking is well signposted too. The hotel is modern and all you would normally expect from a budget chain. The bathrooms were very nice, with bigger than average shower stalls and the rooms were basic but comfortably furnished. Check in was a major problem though, we first tried 20 minutes before normal check in, we had visited the castle had lunch and wanted a rest as we had made an early start... Read more

The HI Express formula works well for touring. Stayed here for two nights when visiting Heidelberg and the Auto and Technic musuem at Sinsheim. The room we asked for was on the inside - courtyard facing as it was quieter. The courtyard is HUGE but you are still shrouded from noise but not feeling at all hemmed in. Breakfast was included and the German HI Ex breckfast is quite acceptable. Staff were as usual well trained and very helpful indeed.

Quite new hotel. Rooms are good. Triple rooms use the sofa as third bed and that means lack of space. Good breakfast with good timetable from 6,30 to 11 a.m. It's like 2 km far from downtown but is better to park the car easily.

While on our way back from Switzerland to Netherlands we spent the night in Heidelberg and stayed at this hotel. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the centre of Heidelberg, has for a Holiday Inn Express rather large rooms which were clean and fresh. Staff was very friendly and hospitable. I will definitely stay in this hotel again when in the area.

The name says it all, City Centre. Located right in the heart of the city. The staff is very helpful and they try to make you comfortable. The rooms are very small with not even space to put your bags. The breakfast could have been a little better in terms of replenishing the items or even clearing the tables. This is a mid end hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during our mini break in Heidelberg. We got a good deal for a family room and the hotel, service and facilities were a really good value. All in all everything was perfectly functioning, tidy, modern and convenient. The staff was helpful and friendly. A basic breakfast was included in all room rates which was great! There was also a nice outside area where the breakfast or drinks from the bar could be enjoyed. My only complaint with the hotel is that the wi... Read more

This is my second time at this hotel and a member of my group is an active person that cant start the day without hitting the gym.... Well, you will be disappointed because contrary to most basic standards at most business hotels that pay attention to include nice gyms at their properties the hotel management ignored this little big detail! There is no work out facility and no deals or arrangements made with close by gyms or facilities... I am a IGH gold member and walked down the street and fou... Read more

The hotel was so accommodating and comfortable. We were leaving to come back to the states and they allowed my dog and treated us with kindness and patience for we are a family with 4 kids. We'd never been to Omaha and were on our way to husker nation and it was here we had our first Omaha steak.

Stayed here for 4 nights during a business trip in Aug 2016 and had a mostly positive experience. Huge plus is the hotel's central location; almost equidistant (3-5 min walk) from both the city center (Bismarckplatz) and the main train station (Hauptbanhof). In front of the hotel is also the stop for the bus/tram line. Rooms are nice, staff is very courteous and pay extra attention to you if you're an IHG Rewards member, as it should be the case. They were able to accommodate my request for an e... Read more

I recommend the place because of several facts what satisfied me during the stay. First of all it is location (Hauptstra?e is 3 min by tram or 10 min walk; team station is in front of the hotel entrance; nice supermarket with a bakery on the corner), room which was modern and clean with all necessities, (3rd floor room had a street view and floor - ceiling windows are great; very cozy styled with a love sofa next to the window), breakfast with take away coffee and lunchbox on request. We stayed here for 7 nights in total and although this is a reasonably budget range hotel it was very pleasant for the following reasons: 1) Nice, friendly and helpful staff 2) Buffet breakfast included 3) Proximity to Heidelberg centre 4) Fine comfortable rooms with great showers 5) Great supermarket right next door (EDEKA) Our only complaint would definitely be the WIFI-my partner was visiting for a conference so usable WIFI was very important to him and the connection was slow to non-existent... This hotel is located two tram/bus stops from the central rail station. If you have luggage would suggest you buy a Heidelberg Travel Card to cover your time in Heidelberg. It's easy to get to hotel by tram with the station right at the front door. A travel card will also get you in Bismarck Plaza where all trams and buses originate from. The room was reasonably sized, had a good sized safe and average free wifi which dropped out a lot. Breakfast wad included in price, but quality was very ordin... Read more

Good hotel, perfect location. The rooms are large and a little funky. The free internet was good - could have been a bit faster but signing in was easy. The staff is so friendly and helpful. All in all, a very solid hotel and I would be happy to return. I save a rating of five for a place that is really out of this world

Staff are nice and informative. Breakfast is good. The bed is really small in the standard room, it can't be fitted for 2 people. A layer of dust is on the sofa top, the room cleanliness need to be improved. Hotel location is good, tram stop just in front of the hotel, train station is around 10 - 15mins.

Stayed here for a few nights in October 2016 during a European road trip. I found the hotel from other reviewers on TripAdvisor. The hotel presents itself as a very modern and clean establishment upon first impression. Check in was efficient with a well knowledgeable English speaking staff. There is an additional charge for parking, but I liked the convenient elevator access from the basement. Make sure you get your parking ticket validated so that you can get your car out of the garage. Room... Read more

I don't give many 5-star reviews for anything, but I really enjoyed my stay here. Positives include: - Fast check-in - Clean, newly renovated rooms - Convenient location - I walked 5minutes from the bus station (where the Lufthansa Frankfort to Heidelberg shuttle drops off) - Excellent breakfast with coffee/tea, juice, cereal, yogurt, cold cut meats and cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, whole fruit and fruit salad, an assortment of pastries and breads, spreads (honey, j... Hotel location was perfect 15 walk to shopping district or 4min tram ride (tram stop right in front of hotel). Hotel rooms a little cosy but clean, and very comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, nice range of choices including cereals, cold meats, cheeses and fruits, and of course teas and coffees. Looking forward to going back :)

Hi, I was disappointed with the breakfast spread There wasn't a choice of yoghurt and there was no condiments for the yoghurt Most hotels provide at least scrambled eggs but there was only hard boiled eggs here Poor service in the breakfast lounge-no cutlery on the tables;& only one waiter to work the entire room I've been travelling Europe for past 3 weeks & I have a good appetite for breakfast; but not here

I stayed at this hotel for a night ; the experience was good. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was the weak point. The placement of food was awkward, resulting in customers bumping into each other. The selection is also a little thin compare to other hotels of the same price point.

Spent two nights here as a family of four, it was modern and comfortable, with a delicious bircher muesli for breakfast. Supermarket downstairs, and a walk or tram into town. We crammed into one room, with the kids on the fold-out coach, it wasn't huge but well fitted out and a generous bathroom with excellent shower.
