After arriving at the hotel I received a frosty greeting from the reception desk. The business had paid for the room, unfortunately the hotel didn't even check they just said no and I needed to pay. I was then proceeded to be informed that there was no running water and that if I wanted to have water I would need to buy my own bottled water for EVERYTHING. Wash my face, drink etc. I said whether this would be reimbursed and then they said ... NO. To say I was a little shocked is an understat... Read more

This is a big hotel in a great location near the canal and a block from the Reeperbahn. The desk staff was helpful. They do have parking available for 18 Euros. The rooms are small but clean. Not a lot of amenities - no fitness center, no coffee maker, no pamphlet in the room describing what is available. The price was reasonable. I would recommend it.

The Motel One am Michel is good, new and clean. The rooms are not so big, but you have everything you might need. Bathroom is very clean and new: shower in the bathroom, no bath tube. The location of the hotel: very convenient, 20 minutes walking from city center. There is a park around the corner, very good for walking and jogging. Breakfast is good, but avoid peek hours, could be too full. Even if you won't book a breakfast, coffee/tea/juices and croissants are still be offered to all hotel gu... Read more

Reduced to the maxmum, very good quality, quiet space to refresh for new adventure in this charming untypical german city. Excellent friendly Service, you reach the "Must See" locations and sightseeing places in walking distance.Room space acceptable, you got the Lobby to take a drink or two, also the breakfast is healthy and fresh prepared, all in all a place to park your soul in a rocking chair and to breathe in the smell of the wide wild world.

Nice hotel with perfect location for sightseeing and for fair visit. It takes 15minutes to walk to the Hamburg Messe. And port of Hamburg also takes 10 minutes by walk. Close by there is a big park with a lake. And more important thing is everything even the shampoo in the room is organic. Breakfast is nice and everything you eat is organic. Only negative thing there is no refrigerator and no safe box in the rooms. But definetely I can stay again.

All you need for a business stay - very friendly staff, good location, working WiFi and a good breakfast - all at a competitive price. No extra bells and whistles but a very good slimmed down concept.

Very nice hotel. Great location. Service very nice and helpful. Rooms small but clean. Choice of breakfast very narrow but for 10 Eur it's ok. Great value for money. Lots of people in the lobby where you can eat and drink.

Motel One is a super-successful German hotel chain and we have visited their hotels in Hamburg and Berlin. Identically - and very pleasantly - designed rooms, generous, high quality breakfasts, good cocktail bars with snacks, these hotels offer excellent value for money and a good, acceptable alternative to those of us who usually prefer small boutique hotels. Apart from the simply excellent breakfast and the surprisingly spot-on caipirinha at the bar, we also loved the USB plugs for charging de... Read more
