We stay in Motel One regularly while visiting Hamburg, as it always keeps its standards, and we always know what to expect. The breakfast is beyond average considering the hotel category. The location is very convenient, close to metro station. We will for sure use it again during our next trip to Hamburg.

We were on a 2 day trip to Hamburg and found this hotel, I had never heard of it but we decided to take a gamble. It was worth it because its excellent value for money and very well located literally 1 minute from the tube train station. Very small room we had though which was a negative. Wish they could have an English channel that isn't a news channel like BBC or CNN, so boring and annoying Due to refurbishment of the breakfast area we didn't get to try their breakfast, but they gave FREE ... Needed a place to crash for two nights to avoid the 105 km commute after dinner arrangements, and by chance ended at the Motel-One - and I was very pleased with it! Central location, excellent service, modern appearance, exceptionally clean, excellent bed and shower, very good WiFi, reasonable breakfast (EUR 9,50), and a bar that was open when I wanted to go there. The hotel does NOT give you a huge room, kettle/tea/coffee, iron/board - or a closet, but I don't need that for most of my short s... Read more

We paid around 100 Euro per night . I would expect to have bigger rooms. The room was quite small that we could not have the babycar into the room. The breakfast time it was quite crowded we needed to have the breakfast outside. The location is quite close to the central station (around 10 minutes by walking) but not that central. There is U-bahn station right in front of the hotel You need to take U-bahn to go to Rathaus or St.Pauli. It is quite close to Alster lake. If you have baby travelling... Read more

For a reasonably located, good value for money hotel this Motel One is definitely recommended. Breakfast is quite literally superb, although the breakfast area is too small for a hotel of this size and that leads to waiting times in the morning. There are also just two high chairs for toddlers available. Not the biggest room, but perfectly adequate. 9 out of 10 in my view. G Christian

On a short business mission to Hamburg found this well accessible and affordable hotel with very correct services. Very clean and puritanely pragmatic room, not quite big but OK. Breakfast nice. Big lobby makes the experience friendly. Staff competent and absolutely correct and polite.

I accompanied my wife on a two day business trip to Hamburg by car. Our room was perhaps a bit small, but the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom in fact quite spacious, and we - on the 16th floor - had a nice view of the city. We could open our window! It was cool and crisp and rainy now and then, and we could listen to the weather. A wonderful thing. The service was impeccable. I needed to extend my parking privileges - no problem, done immediately. I asked for a late checkout due to a me... Read more

We stayed Friday - Sunday in July 2016 and the hotel was full and busy. But despite that, at every point, the staff took time with us, were friendly, helpful, etc. The rooms are small, but very clean, and the beds were comfortable, and everything worked. We didn't switch on the TV but enjoyed watching the screensaver fish swimming around! Continental breakfast was pretty decent. As often happens, there was a queue at peak time (roughly between 8.30 - 10.00) but the choice of food was pretty reas... Read more

Very popular hotel and I can imagine why! Location, price, facilities and breakfast is good, the problem is it almost every time fully booked! :( So book in advance to be sure you can stay here during your trip. Public transport stops in front of this hotel.

Very nice, if a bit spartan hotel, right above the U-bahn station and one stop from the central station - also just 5 minutes walk to Berliner Tor. Also super-convenient for driving - parking underneath and no scrabbled one-way streets to navigate. Rooms are small, so better suited for a short stay, but super-clean. Service is good. Best of all - fastest hotel wifi I have ever seen.

Available via the U1 underground train. The staff were exceptional - friendly, hard working and helpful. The bathroom was cleaned better than any place I have been. The free Internet is high speed. Breakfast was fantastic and constantly replenished in a timely manner. Boiled eggs didn't taste like engine oil as they do at Ibis Hotels.

Very nice and helpful staff, good prices for a hotel, clean rooms, 24/7 open bar, huge choice of Gin´s, air condition, subway station "lohmühlenstrasse" directly in front (and one station further you can change to the yellow line which covers all the attractions), also a nice park behind the hotel,

Short walk (or even shorter subway ride) to the main train station. Short walk to the nicer part of St. Georg (Lange Reihe). Little staff interaction, but not overly friendly. Good value for a clean, simple room. Wifi was good.

I wouldn't stay here for long but for a couple of nights was fine - the rooms are very small(ie there is nowhere to put your case and 4 coathangers and a rail along the wall) but they are super clean and everything looks new and well designed. The breakfast is lovely - a big continental spread and whilst there is no food later in the day there is a well stocked bar (with 41 gins!) and if the weather is good a small outside area to sit in.

I have been in motel one for two days, the single room is not big but the bed is very comfortable and with great view from the window if you are in high floor. Actually the breakfast was not included but they offer free coffee in the morning for the guests. The decoration of the hotel is beautiful too. I can't say much because I stayed only couple of days but I loved it.

Location- situated on a soulless street a ten minute walk from Hauptbahnhof and Lake Alster but right above Lohmülenstrasse U Bahn. Convenient for most places but not central. Rooms- I am a big fan of Motel 1 having stayed in them in Edinburgh. The rooms are modern, clean and stylish. The shower is powerful and hot. Beds are particularly comfortable. Fine for a short stay. Staff- incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, great value for money.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights to visit our son who lives in Hamburg and to visit the Christmas markets. We thought it was in a very good location being directly above the tube station. The hotel had a welcoming feel on arrival with a nice bar area which was open 24 hours. It had attractive seating areas with video screens of log fires which looked very cosy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and stored our luggage after we checked out. Although the room was rather small it was fin... Read more
