We drove to Dresden and decided to stay overnight on a whim. Motel One was right across the street from where we parked, so it was perfect. The decor was modern and stylish, and TEAL..my favorite color...major bonus points!! :) We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids, there was no room big enough for all of us available, so we were separated into 2 rooms across the hall from one another. The concierge did; however, check the other Motel One for us to see if they had a family room available, bu... Read more

This hotel is an average 3* hotel in the centre of Dresden. Ideally located next to all the sights. Rooms are modern but very small. Bathroom is extremly small. Bed is not very comfortable and duvet is too short for tall people. Breakfast buffet is ok.

The Motel One staff is courteous, friendly, and speaks English. The rooms are no frills but clean and have everything necessary for a pleasant stay. The breakfast was fine for me with a traditional selection of goods and decent coffee (honestly better than most American hotels). It's a new hotel with an underground car park (which fills up fast) right in the heart of the old city (the Kempinksi must be suffering). Neat tidy small rooms are all you need and breakfast is a cold buffet. The only downside is the fact that they seem to have a carpark that is too small because a lot of it is off limits to hotel guests. They need to sort that out or it will become a problem as parking is tricky otherwise.

The hotel is new, with modern decor, a very friendly and warm lounge area. The rooms are small but adequate. We were here during a cool period and the room was too warm. The breakfast was good with adequate offerings at the buffet. The breakfast room is on the smaller side especially during the breakfast rush and you may find you need to move out into the lobby area to sit and eat. The staff was very helpful and nice.
