I agree with many other reviewers. We decided to save some money on the hotel and this worked perfectly. One of the people who was checking people in spoke a number of languages, so this is also a good international hotel.

We stayed in this hotel during our visit to Dresden. The staff were welcoming and receptive. This hotel looks new. The room was clean and medium size. The shower was great. The breakfast was good as well. Good selection of food. I'm a member of IHG. The only downside was the wifi was not working good in the room. It works well in the lobby and restaurant. However the service was excellent. It made up for it.

Great location next to the Hop/on-Hop/off bus stop and easy walk from the train station and to the old town. The room on the 6th floor was very quiet and the only complaint we have is that the bed was rather small. Very clean room and bathroom. A good breakfast which is included in the very reasonable room rate. Our first time in a Holiday Inn Express but it won't be our last!

I wasnt expecting a luxury hotel but I was pleasantly surprised by the room size, the bathroom and the quality feel of the place. The city centre is in walking distance and a decent range of restuarants within 5 minutes. You can walk to all the major tourist locations and the tram runs along the front so you can travel to the wider area. Most of the tv is in German but English language rolling news is covered so ypu dont feel dosconnected if you are a non-German speaker. Breakfast is include... Read more

This is a rather utilitarian town centre hotel, but we thought reasonable value for money. It is an easy 10-15 minute walk from the main train station through a pedestrian precinct, and on the edge of the '"Old City". The included breakfast was quite basic, but adequate. The wi-fi is included in the room rate, but the signal was very weak (and often none existent) in our bedroom, though adequate albeit fairly slow in the lobby. The lifts were slow and inefficient and had insufficient capacity to... Read more

I visit Dresden frequently on business and have stayed in this place several times. The rooms are pretty decent, courteous staff, reception is open 24hrs and have a good spread for the breakfast. The location is excellent with all Dresden attractions, supermarkets and malls all in walking distance. Lots of options for food including both street and restaurant options closeby. There is a Subway and Thai place next door. Tram station is right opposite, with central station less than a kilometer. ... Read more

We could not fault this modern hotel, it had all the facilities we needed and was very reasonably priced. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, had a safe, tea & coffee making equipment, television and adequate lighting. The bathroom had a large walk in shower with instant hot water. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price, this was a cold buffet and was fresh and tasty. The location of this hotel is good, you can walk to most of the tourist attracti... Read more

Our room was very nice, not small at all, with simple yet elegant design and all the necessary conveniences. It was very comfortable and quiet. There were a few pretty thin pillows, the beds were soft. The food was very good. The staff was quick, helpful and very friendly. The location is great - just a few minutes on foot and you are in the very centre of the old city with all the majour landmarks, shops and restaurants. Public transport stop are in front of the hotel.

A pleasant modern Hotel with all the facilities we needed. The Bathroom had a lovely big shower which you could easily move around in with plenty of towels. Our room looked out onto a grassy are behind the Hotel. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included in our package. I was surprised as there was plenty of choice at the buffet. It is a very central hotel so nothing is too far away shops, restaurants and places to visit.

Hotel is located pretty nicely at the very city centre of Dresden. The staff was friendly and breakfast was included. Family room could have been a little larger, and air conditioning was not sufficient enough - as an excuse the outside temperature was +37C, and the hotel was fully booked. I recommend this hotel to those who want to see the most important sights by foot and make some shopping easily.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and it is in a perfect location for access to the old city. This is our go-to hotel in Dresden. The hotel has limited parking and we parked in the secure garage. There is also parking across the street. Our room was the standard for Holiday Inn Express and breakfast was fine. Wifi worked fine.

Typical newer Holiday Inn Express with many tourists sites located a few blocks behind the hotel. Tram stops with Doner stand across the road. Main shopping area Karstadt with a couple of blocks worth of international stores leading to the main train station beyond that. Typical breakfast with some of the cold cuts looking iffy. The pillows were small and flat but sleep quality was ok. The shower pressure was excellent. The only downgrade is Wifi that cuts out every few minutes. It always came ... Read more

Great location close to everything in the old city and transport. Cleanliness is an issue in this hotel; found a bug on the mattress and asked to change the room which they did very gently and without hesitation

Location was great and we could park just across the street in a private parking lot. Room was ok, but really tiny for a couple and worst of all we choose a french-bed, offered for 2 people. But I advise any coulple against this choise as such a bed is not suitable for 2 persons. Take the opportunity offered by the hotel of a 2-bed-room instead!

the hotel is conveniently located and efficiently designed. The room is nicely decorated, has decent size, very clean and quite. The hotel is located in the city center very close to the shopping center of Dresden where you can find a lot of dinning options.

Staying here for third time, this hotel is good as always. Rooms are very comfortable, nicely furnished, good pillows, and with amenities such as kettle, TV, AC and a private bathroom which was very good. Breakfast at Holiday Inn Hotels are generally very good, and this one is no different, with a good food variety. Only, the breakfast room is really too small for the hotel and management should be looking to enlarge it, at least during the summer season. I even got into a situation that I had t... Read more

Hotel is perfecly located, on one side is old town, on the other shopping center. Room was nice and clean, but for me the bed was too soft. And there was a big problem with wi-fi. The signal was very poor, in fact ,we couldn't use an internet at all in our room . However, because the internet did not have great significance for us, we were pleased with staying at this hotel.

This hotel is not pretending what it is not. It is a reasonable hotel, good for a couple of nights in this beautiful city. We spent 2 nights here and were very pleased. The room was small but clean, the window could be opened, that is highly appreciated. In case you are a late sleeper, you will probably be woken up by the light, since the curtains are not very thick. And our window faced the busy road, but that is how it is in the city. The beds and sheets were very comfortable too.The bathroom ... Read more

Modern hotel, perfectly located near shopping areas, main attractions, restaurants and bars and a big public parking (useful if travelling by car, around 7 euro/night). The staff was very accommodating. Room was nice, clean and comfy with all necessary amenities. Wi-Fi available. However, breakfast was really basic, the bread was hard and tasteless, the coffee was bad and the breakfast room was extremely crowded. Stayed here for two nights with my wife and some friends. The hotel is located in a great spot for visiting the city and close to lots of bars and restaurants as well as shopping. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed but nothing flash! Free WiFi. There are only two lifts so during busy times you have to wait a while. Breakfast is basic and something of a free for all, but adequate. A good hotel and good value

I stayed here for two nights. Good room, with possibility to make tea or coffee. Great shower. Good bed. Small television. Airco. Standard breakfast, limited fruit, no fish. Friendly staff. The hotel has no restaurant for dining, just breakfast, but that is not the problem, because the hotel is ideally situated in the city center, close to old center as well as the shopping center, with loads of good restaurants. I liked the hotel, value for money, so recommended!

We spent two nights in this hotel. The hotel is well located as it is not far from the train station and close to the city center. We were four guests (2 adults and 2 boys). Upon our arrival (around 1.30 pm) our room was not ready, so we decided to visit the town while waiting. When we were given access to our room the sofa bed hadn't yet been prepared for the night and the bathroom had been provided with towels for one person only. We had to call the reception to tell them. After half an hour n... Read more

We stayed for two nights in this hotel. The room was nice, clean and there was a possibility to make coffee or tea. There were two problematic points: First morning we were waiting almost 15 minutes for the free table for the breakfast and second point was the problem with the lift. There are only two lifts and it was almost impossible to go down from the second floor. The lift came always full, so finally we were using only staircase. On the other hand the hotel is in the centre of the city and... Read more

Coming off the bus we were somewhat disoriented looking for the street I wanted to proceed down on the way to the hotel. Actually, if you arrive on the train or bus it is very simple. Proceed through the train station (the bus drops off beside the train station) and look for the center street between all the shops. If you are looking in the other direction the street is parallel with the train station, so go the other way. This center street/walkway is for pedestrians only, but is very wide. Con... Read more

This hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the train station, but that walk takes one through a bustling shopping district. The desk staff is GREAT, and we appreciated TWO pillows per person:-) Our only disappointment was that the shower was tepid first thing in the morning (i.e. 7 a.m.) If you can shower after others have run the hot water, it would be hot. (We know, because we checked after returning from breakfast.)

We visited on a business trip as a stopover for one night. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful at checkin. There is parking available for an additional fee underground (I think ?15 or ?20). The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was included and was quite nice. The hotel is centrally located and easy to walk into town. Definitely recommend. Great value for money.

This hotel has a great location, about 10 minutes walk from the main station and 5 minutes from the Old Town. Rooms are clean and modern, with comfortable beds. Staff are helpful, and a good buffet breakfast is served with a choice of cold meats, cheese, eggs, bread and cereals. Tour bus stops less than a hundred metres away and there is also a large shopping mall 2 minutes walk away.

I expect more forom Holiday inn chain. Location is realy good, rooms are clean, new with classic hotel design. Nothing broken, everything works. Entrance to the paid hotel parking, when is necessary to go around the block is funny. Personal nor nice neither polite. Bed in double room is too small for two people and not comfortable at all. Breakfast is crowded, that is fine, but just a basic stuff, nothing special.

It was the best of the best location. Tram station was just right in front of the hotel. Likewise if you took the sightseeing bus tour, this is stop right next to the hotel. Breakfast included like just other holiday inn express. Maybe one con is the a/c wasn't that cold. Lowest 18degc. I wasn't using the blankets at all. Overall still excellent choice
