We enjoyed our stay here, the bed was huge and comfortable, the pillows soft and the bathroom facilities good.We had a room overlooking the street and with the Windows open you could hear ,bells, people and the nearby oompah band. This was fine as the double glazing eliminated this if you wanted quiet. The pool is quite small but deep and good for a swim, the outdoor Jacuzzi was lovely in the sunshine.Staff are friendly and helpful,WiFi access good also access to larger p.cs in the business centre.

Stayed at this hotel almost for a week with my family during the school break. The location is superb, the Frauenkirche is right next to the hotel! It is a magnificent landmark, and there is always something happening either inside the church or around it:-) Most of museums are also within couple of minutes walk - Zwinger, The Palace with the Green Vault, Albertina, Transport museum, Opera, etc. For the shopping you need to head to the south - there is a huge department store at the Altmarkt an... Very good location, friendly staff and nice breakfast until 11am (much appreciated). Some rooms can be located quite far from the elevator. Unfortunately the Free Wifi is only available in the lobby, expensive wifi in the rooms, which is a very outdated proceeding. Nice gym and saunas too.

We stopped in Dresden on our way thru Germany on recommendation of friends. It was such a good choice. Because of all of the construction, we did have trouble getting to the hotel, but we had GPS which saved us. Once we arrived though, everything was great. Told me if I spend ?20 euros in 1 of 5 restaurants that's around Hilton hotel. I will get 500 points. First was at lunch. I spent ?21.90 but the guy said it has to be before tax! Quality is high, so is the price. 15 ? for a single persons WiFi is in my opinion something maybe for a business traveler with a company credit card, but not for a pensioner on a tourist trip. Breakfast was great, price of it again not. Paying 46 ? for breakfast and 83 ? for a room sounds a bit odd.

In the years since German reunification, Dresden has been rebuilt ?? actually, reassembled ?? to its pre-World War Two dramatic glory. The care taken in the reconstruction effort is astounding; its enormous cost can only be imagined. To stand today in the square and gaze up at the Frauenkirche or in the other square and ponder the Zwinger, carries the visitor back to how Dresden??s core looked in the 1920s ?? or 1820s. And if the visitor wants to stay smack in the midst of this core, and thu... Read more
