We enjoyed our short stay at the Motel One at Tel-Aviv-Strasse very much. What a great walk through the city to arrive at the Cathedral, walk down to the Rhine river and back to the Hotel. We got a very warm welcome at the front desk and a wonderful room. Very clean and on a higher level than we expected. We will be back, cause we love that place.

My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 nights at Motel One Köln-Waidmarkt in November 2015. We didn't stay very long but we sure did enjoy our stay. Breakfast was spectacularly presented, with full of healthy options and for everyone tastes. The room was really nice and comfy, with a good view and very well equipped. The distance from We are absolutely sure that we'll return to Motel One should we come back to Köln!

Cool Design & Color Interior.. Too simple and no telephone line from the room to reception.. But they got wifi/ internet connection: Just right for travel that require less than 8 hours stay per day.. But staff are really attentive and caring- that is a PLUS???

Staff was helpful. Great breakfast. Nice lounge. Rooms were clean and felt new. It was no-frills, but nice, clean, and had great service. Would definitely recommend or stay again if we were in the area.

Just stayed one night. Everything very good. Breakfast nice. Bar area good. Area to sit outside also. Room a little small but other than that no complaints. Free wifi. Cathedral about ten minute walk. Pleasant check in with a nice receptionist.

We recently stayed on a visit to Cologne. To start the hotel exceeded our expectations, having seen pictures we had an idea what to expect, but in real life the hotel was incredible. The hotel is mdoern and clean with nice touches, the staff were excellent and the location was great. The rooms were a good size, had a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. In the lobby the is a great bar, that is open 24 hours. they have a great selection of drinks and the cocktails were perfect. The town cent... Read more

I selected this hotel because it was close to where I needed to be for work, but also close to the Old Town for sightseeing purposes! You??ll save money staying here over one of the hotels in the old town itself, and it??s only a 5-10 minute walk away. Some of the streets between the hotel and the town seemed a little shady at night though. It??s definitely a no-frills hotel, but I had expected something similar to the UK??s Premier Inn chain ?? the facilities here are not on par with that.... Read more

In the middle, close to everything Motel One is the place to be. The staff are helpful and cheerful. Food is good. Colors are nice with convenient space in the rooms. The candy at the desk is yummy too. But towels' smell is not very nice though clean everyday. Enjoy

Great budget hotel close to the city centre. Room was modern and clean plus the staff were really friendly. Breakfast was alright but would have liked some hot food options. Would consider staying at a Motel One again.

The hotel was really close to where I had to work that weekend. I was surprised by the modern design, the very efficient and friendly check-in. Nice bathroom, good bed, smallish room, but clean and with an efficient lay out. Location wise there are two U-Bahn stations closeby and the centre is a short walk away. All in all a surprisingly good place to stay. The only thing is that the windows don't open.

The service we received by reception staff was second to none. Staff were helpful with advising about sight seeing and restaurants - and even looked up a car wash place. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel just a few blocks from the cathedral (and a Mexican Liquor shop).

Enjoyed staying here. rooms are excellent with little street noise...spotlessly clean, breakfast can be busy though food is adequate. Location a short walk from centre, 10 minutes or so. A few nice pubs around to explore.I 'd come again.

Rooms have no phones so you can't even call reception for an extra towel or anything, rooms are insanely small. No laundry service. no small fridge. The Bed is ROCK HARD. TVs are wall mounted, but well off center from the bed for no reason. They say it's being smart but I just think its being cheap, and crappy. No place to put anything.... I'm gonna be here for 10 days... What a freaking nightmare.

The hotel looks really nice, the bar area is very comfortable and is designed really well. Very classy. The rooms are the same, very swish design. The shower products are the best! Organic products, fantastic smell and quality. The only downfall was the friendliness of the staff. The majority of them were polite, but not especially welcoming.. but it might just be my English customer service standards.

This is a good business hotel, the staff is excellent and helpful. Reaching here is pretty easy but you might have to walk say 10 mts. The rooms are small, but good enough for a single or a couple max. If you're travelling with a big family wouldn't suggest. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is just basic with no cooked food except boiled eggs, but you have a lot of eateries around with just 10 - 20 mts walk around can give you all kind of cuisines. Suggestions to the manag... For a two night business trip, this hotel was ideally located near the center of town, with good access to ground transportation. Large modern lobby and open bar area, good elevator service considering the hotel appears to have over 400 rooms. The rooms are all the same footprint, some facing the Tel Aviv Strasse and others a quieter back street. The room was at most 120 SF in size, not including the bathroom, which was tight but efficient. There is no closet, but a number of open rails with hang... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights last bank holiday weekend. Where the hotel itself is quite nice and modern in decor, there are a few issues need addressing. The rooms are small so be aware. It's more a quick stop off hotel than a holiday resort. There is no wardrobe just some small shelves one side of the bed and a few hangers on the other. No tea/coffee facilities. No phone so room service is not available. We asked for an iron the day we arrived but we're told they were all out so none available. ... Read more

A friend recommended this hotel. I needed a hotel to stay in Cologne. Normally I always stay in 5star hotels.. I really have to say this hotel is great. Location is right in the centre. Very friendly staff. Rooms are nice/ clean. Good bed. Rooms are small, but so is the price. Great shower, lots of water pressure. Nice scented soap. Breakfast is a supplement of ?9.50 What's definitely worth it. Everything you need is there on the buffet. And constantly refreshed. An absolute recommendation... Read more

Your standard Motel One room. Bed was hard as a rock, which meant I did not sleep very well. Breakfast was OK but why not include it in the room price. Nice lounge/bar area. Location is 10-15 minutes walk from city centre.

This was my first stay at a Motel One and I really like it. Motel One is most interesting for what it doesn't do: there is no restaurant, you eat in the lobby which is the heart of the hotel. The rooms have no telephones but designer lamps, assuming guests have mobile phones and a desire for style. The WiFi is fast and free. The layout of the room is smart which is a good thing as I hear that they are the same in every Motel One in every city. Take your average hotel, strip away what has be... Read more
