Have visited Cologne for more than 30 years, to attend the ISM exhibition, this was the first time I have ever felt cheated and abused. Being contracted to pay 218.40 euros for a single night, my accommodation consisted of a low-celing attic on the 4th floor, with no lift and no ensuite bathroom. Without any previous knowledge of what to expect.....my secretary/wife had made the booking on my behalf....but expecting to find a decent hotel commensurate with the high price I was paying, I checked... We booked 3 rooms through Booking at this hotel to go to a popular concert in the nearby arena. We booked with the creditcard we always use for reservations and to buy tickets. A couple of months before the concert the hotel contacted us that they couldn't authorise our creditcard. This was already strange since we never have a problem with this card. But we thought: OK, maybe we made a mistake in the numbers or so and provided the hotel with the details of another creditcard. Again the hotel cl... Read more

The worst hotel I have ever visit for business in Germany in 30 years. About 300â?¬ for one night for a terrible and awful room. Breakfast very poor, heating too low, too cold inside the room. Very bad experience, never again.

Location of the hotel is perfect. The quality of rooms is ok. The breakfast was good but located in another place 100 meters from hotel (not very pleasant if the weather is bad). But it was good for the price. If you travelling by car, the hotel has no parking and it is a bit hard to find a parking place in the center.

First of all its not the best hotel in Koeln, but it's decent and not too bad Pros Location next to Lanxess Also public transport nearby Price reasonable The staff was very friendly actually Rooms small but ok Cons No parking close to hotel. Park at Lanxess which is relatively close. Ensure you get a room not next to busy street It's good for one night I would recommend max.

One of the worst hotel experiences of my life. The payment terms didnt match with the indications in booking. When calling the hotel staff was very unfriendly. Upon arrival I was shocked the hotel room was so small and looked like it got stuck in the 80s. Hotel staff on site unfortunately was equally unfriendly as via phone. Definitely not a hotel to stay at in Cologne. There are a thousand better options!

We went for the ESL-One tournament and this hotel was perfect. It was walking distance from the arena. It was quite and clean. However we were not aware that the breakfast room was 400meters away across the road (it wasn't a problem)

I just stayed one night and it was ok. The late check out system is very easy to do because the leave you a key on a box outside the hotel with a pin that they send you to your email so you just have to arrive, put the pin on the box and get your key! You will not find anybody after 23:00 so that is why they have that system. They DO NOT have an elevator which was a problem for me because i had to luggages and my room was on the 4th floor and there is not any storage on the first floor. The bre... Read more

When we arrived at the hotel we first thought it was nice. However, upon check in, we were told to go to the guest house about 400m metres away. This was a bit annoying as you don't book a specific location to be told to stay somewhere else. When we arrived at the guest house it was still being cleaned as we were early (this was understandable). We dropped our bags and returned later on. The room was very small, had no fan, TV remote to change channels on the TV, the area was noisy and the bathr... Read more

I spend 2 nights in Hotel Alt Deutz, the reason I choose this hotel is because of location proximity to TH Koln University, where I have to attend the conference. However I start to realize that this hotel location is very strategic, It is easy to access to anywhere e.g train station to airport or walk to city centre. The room is nice and clean, there are a lot of restaurant and cafe outside, would recommend for next family trip or business.
