This particular Hilton hotel is one of my favourites in Europe. The staff are efficient, speak English well, are friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are large, free internet with Hilton Honours card (everyone should have one), have ice machines on floors which most hotels in Europe do not and cost you a tip everytime someone has to deliver ice. Air conditioning and silence are my most important features in my room and Hilton Cologne delivers well. Have not eaten here as prices are very ... Read more

Good location, clean big room but nothing special, friendly staff. I strongly recommend the breakfast, as all hotels in the Hilton group have excellent one. Free wifi for all clients with an honour card. it's free to order one and you get the code for the wifi from the reception in every hotel you stay in. No free parking available.

We stayed at the Cologne Hilton while attending an exhibition at Koelnmesse in March and it was ideal. It is close to the station for trains through to the exhibition halls (don't even think of getting a taxi as we did on the first morning when it was raining - due to the one way system and the location of bridges over the river, you end up taking a very long taxi journey for what is actually only a short hop by train). The hotel is also close to the town, a choice of restaurants if you don't wa... Read more

Stayed here overnight during a two week trip through Europe. Staff was very friendly--from providing directions to helping me get some postcards mailed out. Great little bar down in the lobby. Room is a tad small, but was more than adequate. Location is PERFECT. Stone's throw from the cathedral, restaurants, bars, and the station. Breakfast was great. Will look to stay here again the next time I pass through.

No free wifi in the rooms so thats a bit of a downer. Housekeeping was also not great but rooms are spacious and equipped. Reception staff is helpful. Its location is its biggest plus point.

Ugly outside, but all new inside. Very modern, modest, and comfy. The rooms are big and spacious. The restaurant serves good buffets, especially the breakfasts. You actually get decent bacon here. The parking is valet or self-park, but the price is the same, so I recommend using the valet. You can take your car in and out without paying extra.

You expect a decent standard of design, comfort and cleanliness from Hilton and this hotel delivers on all counts. What really annoyed me was the difficulty in accessing the wifi without paying a ridiculous extra sum and the price of EUR 7.50 charged for a bottle of still water in the room.

Clean and comfortable room, great bed, good amenities like full gym, good quality toiletries in bathroom. Dinner was superb. 2mins to station and cathedral. I would definitely stay again at the Hilton in Cologne.

The hotel is strategically located near the train station, cathedral and shopping place. Room is rather small, no free wi-fi unless you are member of Hilton Honor. Breakfast option is many. Overall, nice stay.

Stayed here recently. All rooms are good apparently, but we got upgraded to a Suite which was fantastic. Had breakfast daily which was great - good variety of many different foods. The Hilton is in a fantastic location, able to walk to many many places of interest close by. Also super close to the main railway station. Great place.

Stayed here for 2 nights while on business. This is an average hotel with OK facilities, however ?20 additional to the room charge for breakfast is way over priced and not worth the money, save the ?20 and go to the bakery just down the street! Parking also very expensive, although quite secure. I think that this hotel takes advantage of its location to over charge guests. Give it good thought before considering staying here!

We took a suite room and it is a good choice, for 3 persons 2 adults 1 child. The hotel is located at the city center close to the Central Station. There are a lot of choice of restaurants, one of them is Japanese Daitokai. Nearby the hotel city center shops with a lot of variety. Cologne is a nice city for every one.

We booked the Hilton because we were attending a Photo trades show at the Koln Messe, two years prier we had stayed at another hotel and we used to walk pass this hotel about three or four times a day and the location is absolutely superb for visiting the old town, rhine or the exhibition centre. The rooms as you would expect are large comfortable and tastefully decorated with large beds and a good sized bathroom. The three of us had a room each and we had included the breakfast in the deal, the... Read more

Location has Quick access to Hbf, without riff-raff. Had good Italian food on the same street close by. Good sized room and bath + shower, quiet, new appointments, good Internet, excellent breakfast. Could see 1 spire of Dom from room, impressive. Great value for a big city.

I've stayed in this hotel two separate times this year, the first time we selected a corner room and it was excellent and very spacious. However, on the second stay we booked last minute and so we were assigned one of the corridor (standard for what you'd get) rooms. I can honestly say that a premier inn would be more superior and spacious. In fact, it was so small i'm surprised the hotel can attract a 5* rating. I find the food to be far over priced in respects to the quality. The cocktail... Read more

Quite spacious for a king size bed and a babycot. Love the bright bathroom with option of shower and tub. The breakfast was also nice as there real fresh squezed orange juice and Baby chair. However the location is not quite in the middle of things so you would need to compensate on transport a bit.

We stayed 2 nights with 2 rooms which were spactious and clean. My 20ish children were a little disconcerted with the mirrors in the shower. Easy 5 minute walk from the train station and Cathedral. We did not have the breakfast there since it was quite expensive. Had to walk 5-10 minutes to where all the restaurants were but the atmosphere was fun. Wifi strength was good and it was the first place in 10 days that there were English channels! Took the train to Konigswinter to the Schloss Drachenb... Read more

Great hotel as far as location, cleanliness, etc. Modern, stylish rooms. However, if you're looking for any German culture or quaintness, this hotel isn't it. We found it to be walkable to all of Cologne's sights - only a block or two from the cathedral. Staff was excellent, room service was okay, and breakfast is not included in your rate. Overall, very nice hotel.

Good looking, nice and friendly staff, well organized, 3 minutes to complete check in. 3 minutes walk from train central station, 3 minutes walk to the Duomo, a lot off mini markets nearby, 2 Turkish restaurants across the street. Nice lobby and bar, fantastic and healthy breakfast, pets allowed. Central location to go anywhere. Highly recommended.

Rooms were clean and seemed to have been refurbished lately, so no comments there. Gym is a bit old school, but otherwise clean and equipped for any type of work out. Sauna was good. Breakfast had a decent choice, although I can't get used to sloppy german coffee... you do need to ask for a double espresso to get a taste of coffee. But ? 20 for Wifi when the room rate is ?380 ???

I stayed in a Queen bedroom suite at the Hilton Cologne at the beginning of October 2016. It was a home from home. The bed was extremely comfortable and huge. The coffee and tea making facilities top star (Nespresso machine). The bathroom very big and with all the accessories needed. The room cleaning staff even checked that I had everything I needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Hilton Cologne with a few friends for a weekend trip - location is great, and there is ample parking as well. We had a minor issue at checkin (mixed up rooms) but they were very friendly and quick to sort this out, which was great. Breakfast is excellent, rooms are not huge but good quality. I personally dislike where hotels still charge for "fast Internet", and the Hilton is no exception. There is a good bar and a decent club in the hotel. The general facilities are good and ... The hotel itself is really well located, just a few minutes walk the famous Cologne cathedral. The interior is modern and pleasant with a nice lobby bar and decent restaurant. The rooms were decently furnished and equipped but were quite small and provided no free drinking water. The F&B and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful, otherwise I found their service level to be undeserving of their 4 star rating. The Hilton Cologne is before all very well located hotel. Almost everything is reachable by foot. Rooms are nice and clean. Bathrooms are very simple but still in the end there is everything you need. Breakfast is nice and offers variety of food for everyone. In the lobby bar there's Starbucks coffee which is a plus for those who love it. Staff is very young, talkative and their English is good. It' s Hilton as it supposed to be. Wort visiting again.

This hotel is located in excellent location, cathedral is couple of mins by walk. Shopping area and restaurants are all nearby. Rooms are nice and so is bathroom. They have 2 USB chargers on bedside so that's great for charging your phones and tablets. Only problem is when you remove your card from holder before going out, it cuts off power to all power sockets, which means your devices will not be charged if you are not in the room. The rooms offer lots of spacy, comfirtable equipment and are very clean. The bathrooms are clean and full of mirrors. As a customer i had a chance to compare customer services between Hilton İzmir and Hilton Cologne. I must say according to the expensive price of the room, even a bottle of water was charged 7 euros instead of giving as a compliment which is nicely held in İzmir.
