This hotel is in a good location, great for gay visitors because it's in the middle of Berlin's gay scene. Very friendly staff is a plus. On the down side, the hotel is getting a bit aged. No key cards, for example, so you have to ask for your key every time you want to go up to your room. You have state your name to get your key, which feels like you get supervised with every move you make.

Decent hotel in a very good location, close to the subway, quiet area, cozy cafes, bars etc. A little too long waiting for check-in but the service was friendly. My partner had a birthday and after my earlier request the hotel staff prepared a nice surprise. Also my Le Club Accor Hotels status recognized. No major complaints regarding the room although it was a little small and no A/C which can be a bit problematic during hot weather. Minibar available. A nicely decorated bathroom but the showe... I stayed at the Mercure Zentrum for a long weekend in September. The temperature was in the high 20's / low 30's, and my room didn't have air conditioning, despite paying extra for a "superior room". The security window only opened a fraction so didn't let in much breeze, while letting in all the outside noise. Wifi worked very intermittently, and when I highlighted this on a couple of occasions the hotel staff asked what floor I was on and just sort of shrugged. Not great considering it's the... Read more

Great location in the heart of the gay area. Friendly & helpful reception staff who speak excellent English. Room large & spacious but cosy at the same time. Decor simple and modern with beautifully tiled bathroom. Tea & coffee in room replenished daily. Comfy bed and fresh linens daily. Really cannot recommend this hotel enough. Great value for money!

We stayed for two weeks in this hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, with tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning and and a well equipped bathroom. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of hot and cold options and excellent coffee. The hotel is located 10 minute walk from the Nollendorfplatz Uban station which has most of the underground lines running through it. About 15 minutes walk is a major shopping area which has several big name stores.

Chose this hotel for specific location for being able to see friends who lived locally. Added benefits of ease of access from Tegel Airport. Small reception area with helpful staff. Bedrooms are very compact but absolutely fine if you do intend to be out all day. Beds are comfortable, bathroom a decent size with a great shower. Windows do open so fresh air if you need it inside your room!

The photos posted on Booking.com looked awesome. Especially the bed as I booked the DOUBLE PRIVILEGE ROOM. I ended up getting 2 single beds which was such a total disappointment. I arrived early due to my flight arriving early, they couldn't check me in at all. Most hotels, we could at least check in 1 or 2 hrs earlier but due to the size of the hotel, thus I could only check in at the actual check-in time of 1500hrs. Sat at the restaurant for more than 5hrs. Fortunately the staff in the restau... Read more

Booked this hotel with the expectation of the usual good standard of the Mercure Brand but was very disappointed. Rooms were very very dated and showed plenty of signs of wear. Very few power sockets in the room. No air conditioning in the room and there were several mosquitos in the room when I arrived. Breakfast was very poor - some hot items which appeared to be an afterthought and what cold items (fruit salad etc) they had were very poorly stocked. Hotel was very noisy, room doors were very ... We were in room 611 and found it to be well sited. The hotel was warm and friendly. Well maintained and clean. The breakfast was ex Ellen's with a very good choice of food. The area where it was situated made getting around easy.. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for 1 night, was hard to find it. Very old styled building and furnitures. Was expecting a little bit more from the brand Mercure. Staff didn't really have an impressive customer service. But it was convinient and clean for the price just what you need.
