Just got back from a long weekend in Berlin. The hotel was ideal and suited our needs perfectly. Stayed in a superior apt and requested a balcony at short notice via email which the desk staff happily accommodated. I found all staff to be friendly and very helpful. The room itself whilst not huge was big enough and air conditioned. The bathroom set up was quirky the wash basin faces into the bedroom which we found quite handy. Shower was great.Prince restaurant which adjoins the foyer was very g... Read more

This is a nice hotel, in a great location. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room is large enough, clean and the bed was comfortable. The WFi is free and works well. Now the problems...the shower is in the bedroom and since there's no air conditioning this makes the room very humid. The hotel is on a noisy street so if you're there in warm weather make sure to book a room in the courtyard otherwise you won't be able to open the windows to cool off the room. Breakfast is not included bu... Read more

We stayed here 4 years ago and loved it. This trip not so much. The hotel is in desperate need of updating. The hall walls are scratched and the hall carpet is worn and filthy. The room carpet was disgusting. The shower head dribbles and is falling off the ceiling. The front desk staff with one exception were surly and unhelpful. You must place a card on your door if you DO want your room cleaned. We did so at 6:30 a.m. and when we returned at 2:30 p.m. the room had not been cleaned. The front d... Read more

The good- location. The bad - wifi is virtually nonexistent but advertised as free, the room is dirty (grease and dirt on glasses, soap container empty and dirty on top, walls and floors of room dirty, coffee from previous guest was still in pot), air conditioner is in one room, leaving one room cold and the other hot, bathroom door doesn't lock (and we're in a suite with three of us), one sink was very hard to turn on and quite low to the ground, the other was loose and shot water all over, was... I've read some mixed reviews about the hotel and was slightly worried before arrival. However, I must say that my overall experience has been a positive one. The Good 1) Staff were friendly and efficient. 2) The room was clean and Housekeeping was fine (read some bad reviews about them but it wasn't an issue for me) 3) shower facilities were fine (another concern based on past reviews) - the rain shower may not rain down fully but it's more enough to have a proper shower 4) location is great -... I wanted a stylish hotel that wouldn't cost the earth as a mini break for my daughter and a friend who were both celebrating their 21st birthdays. Lux 11 was spot on. They loved the room, which was a spacious suite with a balcony, celebration prosecco was waiting as requested, as well as some birthday chocolates which were a lovely gesture from the hotel (thank you). Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all a successful choice, which I felt was good value, and I would book again.

I stayed here to attend a conference at the nearby Berlin Congress Center. Beyond being close to the BCC, the hotel was also conveniently close to shops, bars and restaurants. This is definitely the best feature of the hotel. Unfortunately the room itself was pretty disappointing. Drab grey/beige decor with no colour to liven it up. No air conditioning in the room, and my window opened to a noisy street making sleep more difficult. Linen service was poor as I was given one bath towel, one han... Read more

Just returned from a 4 night stay in this hotel. I had a good stay. Excellences: Having a kitchenette Location Friendly staff Not being hassled by cleaning staff Uncomplicated booking Able to secure a room that suited me Not quite there: Couldn't log onto the hotel free web services. - can;t you just have a good old fashioned password rather than an unreliable -web-log-in ? I've read in other reviews difficulties with this set up and it turned out to be the case. I had to resort to data-roamin... Read more

Clean room, spacious shower, no noise, great bed (hard), nice staf. Restaurant and breakfast expensive , better eating outside. Lots of restaurants and pubs. Nearby lots of beautiful things to see. Alexanderplatz , wordclock, Jewish museum and monument and more. Good transportation.

We stayed in the premier suite for our 12th anniversary, upon arrival our room was ready early, we arrived at midday but check in wasnt until 4pm, so that was perfect!!! the suite was clean and airy, with 2 balconies, one at the front and one at the back. The huge bedroom had the bath/shower behind the bed, separate toilet with the tallest door ive ever seen! across from that was a small kitchen/lounge. with hob, microwave, kettle, sink, fridge, a TV in each room. It was extremely quite all the ... Read more

I was in Berlin in late June for a business trip and booked a suite at the Lux 11 because a partner of mine from South Africa was staying there. When I normally travel to Berlin, I prefer to be on the other side of the Tier Garden and stay at places like the Pullman Schweizerhof or the InterContinental. While the Lux 11 is not in the same class as the Schweizerhof (which I had previously stayed in three weeks before this trip), I was extremely impressed with Lux 11. Not only is the location exce... To start off my stay in Berlin, I spent the first two nights at Lux 11 in Mitte. As I know Berlin very well, I wanted to stay relatively close to the apartment in Prenzlauer Berg that I eventually would spend the rest of the time, so the location is good, despite being close to Alexanderplatz (which isn't my favorite part of Berlin). But there are at least three U-Bahn stations nearby, and the trams as well. The room is very nice, despite having just the regular room, I had my own AC unit (whic... Read more

For more than 160 EUR per night I definitely expected something different. To my surprise, I've learned that my room didn't have air conditioning (due to rules of preservation of sites of historic interest - I've been told). Not fun with outside temperatures of 30°C. In addition, the coffee machine was not cleaned, and taking a shower in this designer cabinet caused a lake on the floor because there was no door to separate the shower from the room. Although most of the rooms were renovated, I c... Read more

The rooms are big, which is nice when traveling with kids, but then all perks kind of stop there. The room we first got had a horrible smell. When we asked them to change it they told us they were fully booked and would change us only the next day. The following room fortunately did not have the foul stench. Still both rooms were very dirty, and in the second rooms our children found toys under the furniture, which does not say much about cleaning. Breakfast was also as boring as it gets, and th... We had a great stay in Lux 11. It is in a really superb location, couple of minutes walk to all transports at Alexanderplatz, and really near Hackescher Markt by foot - still it was quiet. We loved the room (we stayed in a Superior room with a nice balcony), it was spacious, cozy and had all we needed. The design is modern, but not overwhelming, and from the moment you step in, you feel like you have your privacy. Staff is polite and helpful. It isn't cheap but is really good, and we would surel... This hotel is walking distance to several public transit stops, as well as plenty of areas for shopping or dinning. It has a hip feel. Pretty nice shower and decent bed. Location was the best part. There was no air conditioning, but it was unusually hot the week I visited anyway, so I don't fault them for that.

Huge rooms, blue tooth speakers, great toiletries, sweets in reception. Big kitchen area with tea coffee but minibar very expensive. Shower very exposed to rest of room! Just round the corner from Alexander Platz. Bed was very comfy and lovely gowns and slippers.
