My wife and I stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel Berlin TWICE in the same week: First, we stayed for 3 nights (in Room 4150 facing the inner courtyard and the circular, perhaps 5-story tall fish tank). We then took a side trip to Leipzig for a few days, and then returned to Berlin and the Radisson Blu for a second, 2-night stay (in Room 2117 -- an outside room). The hotel is ideally situated in the Mitte section of Berlin, on the river. Across the river from the Radisson is the island containing m... Read more

I had stayed at another hotel in Berlin and had the opposite experience at the Radisson Blu Berlin. The location is great for site seeing--I was a few steps away from Museum Island. I was close to many major transport connections. My hotel room was superbly comfortable--I could have paid more for a room looking at the amazing aquarium or the Berliner Dom but I didn't. What I got it was a very clean, well appointed and comfortable place to stay. The other hotel that I stayed at in Berlin w... Read more

This is one of the best hotels i have visited. Once you step inside you will be surprised by the large lobby and the huge aquarium. At the front desk, they are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are big, very clean. The hotel is located in Mitte street which is the place to be. Close to many historical sites and to the shopping street. Here was East Berlin..

The pool and spa were compact but good . Bathroom excellent. Bar is great fun with the giant aquarium. We had excellent room service on one night. Location really is fab 5 mins from Alexanderplatz. We stayed here for our city break. The hotel is lovely - clean, good food options and friendly staff with the added bonus on the mesmerising Aqua Dom! Make sure you request an inwards facing room to have a balcony looking out to the aquarium (the outward facing rooms have an equally nice view over Berlin). The hotel is really centrally located for the Christmas markets and is a stones throw from the TV tower. It is on a main road, but you can get to all the main attractions and sight seeing spo... This is a beautiful hotel. Very modern. The rooms are very very well designed although because the door to the cupboard with the safe in is white we kept banging ourselves on it when open as it matched the white walls. But apart from that- an excellent hotel. Very centrally located with an amazing central 25 metre aquarium. The food was fantastic. It is next to the River Spree in the Mitte district and near lots of shops and cafes.

The location is amazing and you can wander off to explore the city centre, either walk, crossing the Spree to the Museumsinsel and then walk along Unter den Linden or hop on a bus and take it all in. The East side of the hotel faces the Dom and you look down towards the river with the boat stop. Within the hotel the attraction certainly is the Aqua Dome :) There are quite a few restaurants around as well, the hotel internal one (Heat) is a nice place to eat as well. A broken shower and a tv set up for the football in the bar on the last evening that didnt work didnt fill me with joy. Despite asking about the huge fish tank i was given very little information about it or how to enjoy it further. This hotel was great. The staff were friendly from check-in to check-out, the aquarium in the lobby is awesome, and the rooms were well-appointed and quiet. We were upgraded upon arrival, and our business class room was great and the breakfast had options for any type of diet. The hotel's location, right next to the Berliner Dom and the DDR Museum, can't be beat. Berlin is a great city and I will definitely stay here next time I travel here!

We selected Radisson Blu for our Berlin City break. It was interesting to stay in what had been East Berlin throughout our youth. The Hotel is well situated in a vibrant part of the city near to Alexander Platz - which is easily reached by public transport, including from Schonefeld airport in the south of the city. There are always taxis outside which are efficient but not cheap. Close to Museum Island there are plenty of places to walk and shop. The City Circle bus stop is very close and the... Read more

The hotel is well located to all the sights We booked a Business Class room - which was nothing special - I think they face outwards as opposed to inwards. The air conditioning is terrible - I asked if they could have a look at it as even on the lowest and maximum flow the room never really cooled down sufficiently to deal with the humid warm nights. You get a bottle of fizzy water which was not replaced when finished and the use of a Nespresso machine with free pods every day The bathroom has a... Read more

As the title states if you want a romantic hotel with charm this place is not for you. For that I would recommend the kempinski or the ritz. The rooms are functional and small. The best thing about the bathroom is the toiletries! The shower is in an awkward position and the bath plug is too so you're going to stand on it and push it lots of times during your shower! Just bad design really. Not a luxurious bathroom at all. Ac only gives out cold or tepid air. We wanted warm air since w... Read more

Stayed at the Radisson for 4 nights at the start of our European holiday. Great location for our first visit to Berlin right in the center of Mitte. Within walking distance to many sites including Brandenburg gate, Reichstag, alexanderplatz and right next to museum island and the Berlin dome. Also very close to a lot of neighborhood restaurants which made it more appealing of a location than potsdamer platz for example. We chose a business class room and had a gorgeous view of the Berlin dome fr... Read more

A very well kept hotel. The staff on reception were very efficient and accommodated us arriving early; even giving us a choice of rooms. The room itself was spacious and luxurious. The staff were also very happy to oblige us when we asked for extra pillows. The only disappointing thing is that you have to purchase sea life centre tickets to take the lift up the aqua Dom. However, the hotel do offer very discounted rates for admission. The view from the ordinary lifts are still spectacular thoug... Read more

When I arrived the staff gave me the feeling that they were burdened and wanted to send me to the room as soon as possible. At any time someone greets or notices that you go through there, I found it very cold. However they professionally attended to my requests as I talked with them. The hotel is well located and the views of the aquarium are amazing. A good business hotel.

Rooms are functional and get the job done. Conference facilities were more than adequate with catering services for tea breaks and lunch a real standout. The aquarium cum bar is a good place for unwinding with colleagues after a long day of meetings. Hotel restaurant wasn't the best. I'd look for dinning options elsewhere. Good access to historic district and Alexander Platz. Visit the nearby Kaschk for good Norwegian craft beer and a unique indoor shuffleboard experience.

This hotel is very well situated, the room met my expectations and the breakfast did to. Small remark might be how easy the room card got neutralized. Furthermore the concierge was good, but somewhat stressed.

We have just returned from our trip to Berlin. This hotel was absolutely fabulous, the views from our room were amazing. The breakfast buffet was great with a huge selection of food. One thing I will say is that upon check-in I was asked for card details which I gave over I was then handed a card terminal and asked for my pin however I noticed that there was an amount on the screen for 200 euros! The lady checking us in did not ask or even tell me that she was going to be charging 200 euros to m... Read more

The hotel is connected to the aquarium and they share a cylindrical tank. Opting for the inside room provides a view on the aquarium from your room. The rooms are good quality, but nothing to rave about. Breakfast was very good, with a nice mix of options available for everyone. The lobby bar I found quite uninviting, although the aquarium is the centerpiece.

I am a fussy hotel guest and usually find cause to complain about something! This stay however was excellent. My wife and I stayed for 5 nights over a long weekend to do some sightseeing and visit the International Beer Festival. We arrived at 10.00 in the morning and our room was ready and our luggage was carried to our room for us. I had requested a room overlooking the street rather than the aquarium and this proved to be a good decision. We had a small balcony that allowed for fresh air; som... Read more

Loved this hotel in everyway, the breakfast, the lobby, the aquarium, the staff...the list goes on. Ok so it has a little bit of a business feel to it and isn't cosy as such but I recommend it if you aren't looking for something so particular. Please beware people are naked in the spa area as in most German spas.

We stayed only three nights in this great city hotel. Our spacious room was facing the back of the cathedral and we had another bed put into the room for our 7 year old boy. The room had everything you need, lots of space for your belongings, coffee maker & fridge, the bathroom was new and very clean, it was very quiet and the fish tank in the lobby adds another wow factor. My husband & son went swimming in the pool downstairs but mentioned that it's not really a family pool. It's a lap pool an... Read more

After much research of where to stay in Berlin taking into account distance from stations and being in walking distance of the locations we wanted to visit, the Raddison Blu hotel ticked all the boxes. Very nice welcome on check in, discussions on asking for a 'room with a view' were cut short as the clerk told us that the only rooms with views over the river (towards the beautiful Cathedral) are the business class / premier suites and this would involve a hefty supplementary charge.... not an o... The hotel might be the best location to stay if you come to Berlin as a tourist. Located right next to the famous Berlin Cathedral, it's worth to upgrade your room to a bigger size with Cathedral view. Make sure to contact the hotel in advance though since some of the bigger rooms are located on the opposite side that merely look into the shopping arcade - a waste of money. In this case you should rather choose the cheaper "normal" rooms that have a view to the inside of the hotel lobby. You don... Read more

Awesome hotel in very nice surroundings in Mitte. There is huge amount of nice restaurants and bars at close streets of the hotel. We have booked a standard room but quite often I get an upgrade because of my gold status of this chain. This time we didn't expect to have upgrade because I had checked that next category's business rooms were fully booked. But during check-in they upgrated us over two room categories to marvellous junior suite with free breakfast. Amazing service by Patrick at eli... Read more

We spent four nights here in a business class room which we booked because of the fantastic view of the cathedral opposite. The service from all the hotel staff was excellent and a special mention must be made to the bar staff who made some lovely cocktails in the brilliant bar area. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We stayed three nights at the Radisson Blu. The staff was friendly and helpful; the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable; the breakfast was delicious. What more could you want? The location is right next to Museum Island, too. It is very accessible to all sites in East Berlin.

We booked this hotel as it was recommended, partly due to the quirky fish tank in the middle & were told to ask for a room with an interior view. We were lucky enough to get an inside room on the top floor. It had a great view of the Aqua Dom and the reception/ bar areas - although it was a little unnerving when we first saw the tanks internal lift filled with people from the aquarium, looking out at us. The room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean. The location was ideal - right in the cit... Read more

We were recommended this hotel and were very glad for it! The location of the hotel is superb. We walked everywhere we wanted to see. The wow factor of the hotel is the MASSIVE fish tank that dominates the hotel foyer - it is beautiful. All the staff we encountered were top notch without exception - especially the concierge Rene Waltz who could not do enough for us. The rooms and facilities are completely what you would expect from a top class hotel like this. Our whole stay was a complete joy. ... Read more

The fishtank is cool. The room was I'd say 7/10. The view was of another building. It was clean, but bland. very grey. Did not feel "premium" really in any way. I can't give it a better review for that reason. However, it was clean, and I can't complain about the service. Strangely even though I booked this through carlson online using points + cash, they didn't have any of my status information. Bad IT is not good for customer service. The breakfast was pretty good.
