Very good location for reaching by foot most sightseeing spots in Berlin. Clean room with basic amenities. Breakfast could improve compared to what you expect from a breakfast in Berlin. Chose a room not on the main road to avoid traffic noise.

The hotel is modern, very well located and clean. Desk clerks are very friendly. We were given a smoking room, which we did not know existed anymore and it obviously smelled accordingly. The room was very clean. We were given a voucher for free drinks as we are accord club member but when at the bar it seemed that alcoholic drinks were limited to wine and beer, which is not clear on the voucher. I was surprised and had to rethink what i was going have. In the meantime one waitress made rude rema... Read more

The staff was really helpful and polite and even offered cute gifts for our young children. The breakfast had a nice selection and we loved that they had parking available! The location is very close to the center of all the tourists attractions. On a good day you could walk to see just about everything.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple. We had a suite and it was bigger than we were expecting The welcome fruit platter and water were a nice extra. The room was clean and had lots of mod cons. I love that the bathroom had a shower and bath and that the toilet was separate. The shower gel and body cream were amazing my skin and hair felt lovely. The staff were super friendly and really helpful. The hotel is just over the road from the Tiergarten s Bahn a few stops from the centre. ... Read more

This hotel was located in the fascinating Mitte area of Berlin. It was great for getting around on foot or by subway The Spittelmarkt station is the closest and a very pretty approach as you cross over a small footbridge on the Spreekanal which takes you to the laneway beside the Novotel. Highly recommend a walking tour of this fascinating city. The Hotel had good sized room, very quiet (we were on level 7), great bathroom and amazing breakfast that was reasonably priced and delicious

We stayed for several days on a family break to Berlin. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. My children who are 15 and 10 managed well on the sofa bed as they had separate duvets and the bathroom was modern. It is an ideal base for sight seeing due to its excellent location. It is a couple of minutes walk to the U Bahn and the correct line for the Olympic Stadium, the zoo and Potsdamer Platz which were all on our list. We didn't spend much time in the room as it was in easy walking d... Read more

The Novotel Berlin Mitte is everything you would want from a hotel; staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and have plenty of storage space (important for three girls in their early twenties) and, most of all, the location is fantastic. It is only a few minutes from Spittelmarkt station and an easy walk to Alexanderplatz, where there are some shops. Wifi was good both in the lobby and in the bedroom and was free. Beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is nice and there is no noise in the ... Read more

We have had a pleasant stay at the Novotel Berlin Mitte. The hotel location is perfect (5 min away from the island of museums et the Alexanderplatz), the subway is located less than 200 meters (line U2). The hotel is a new construction, modern and design, rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is ok

We arrived early and were given immediate access to our room which was a room for 2 adults and two teens. The room was not huge but we weren't planning on staying in the room too much. The room was quite tired but clean. The bathroom was immaculate and had some lovely products to use. All staff in the hotel were very polite and friendly. The only downside is the amount of people smoking outside the main entrance to the hotel, it really wasn't very nice to have to walk through plumes of smok... Read more

Stayed in this hotel last week. It was all in all a pleasant stay. It is a typical Novotel. It is close to Metro â?? U2 hardly 5mins walk there. It is also very close to the Museum Island. And lots of restaurants mostly German. The room itself was on a smaller side. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage boys. Usually the sofa beds we are offered are not great but this was actually good. Even though it is on the main road it is actually very quiet both inside the room & even the hotel lobby. I do... Read more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a 3 day city break in May, it is about a 10/15 walk from Alexanderplatz station, so quite handy. The reception staff were very helpful and polite, the room we stayed in was beautiful, very luxurious and great bathroom, massive shower etc. Our only criticism was the room was far too warm! Found it really hard to sleep and we were unable to adjust it ourselves. Free wifi was great. Breakfast buffet was lovely, lots of choice no matter what your taste. All ... Read more

Here for a business meeting the following day, we arrived late, checking very smooth, and painless. Was very reasonably priced for its location and class. Nice comfortable well appointed rooms with all the usual accoutrements. A little noisy even with the triple glazing on the 7th floor.

The overall experience at Novotel Berlin Mitte was very positive. We received a warm welcome from the Staff and the room was big and clean, equipped with boiler, fridge, tv, a nice bathroom. We asked for a step for the child in the bathroom and it was readily provided. The bath soap, shampoo and conditioner were very good quality, also the hair dryer was better than in many other hotels. The staff was very friendly and ready to accomodate our requests. We could also borrow a Quinny buggy for fre... Read more

This hotel is located next to the Nicolaiviertel, an old world "village feel" area full of restaurants and bars. It is within a 10-15 minute walk of the Museum Insel, where the Berliner Dom, Altes Museum, Neues Museum, Pergamon Museum and Bode Museum are situated.Alexander Platz can also be reached in about the same time on foot, while buses to Alexander Platz, Potsdamer Platz, the Hauptbahnhof and Ostbahnhof stop just beside the hotel. Novotel Berlin Mitte is well situated on the Museum Island close to many museums and close to the centre of town. It is a new and modern hotel with all the expected facilities for four-star hotels. The room is spacious and well furnished. It has a big window with nice lights. The staff was nice and friendly and the breakfast was very delicious and varied. Two observations: I did not like the brand of coffee in the room; and I was a bit puzzled about the service in the restaurant in the morning. ... Read more

I picked this hotel base on its location. It is right next to Museum Island, a 5 minute walk to the metro station at Spittel Market, a 15 minute walk to Checkpoint Charlie, and close to so much more. The hotel was very nice, clean, and modern. The rooms are soundproof so we didn't have to worry about hearing the neighbors or people out in the hall. The shower was excellent with great water pressure. Breakfast can get busy but there are signs to advise on the best times to go so use that as y... Read more

Very close to the Spittelmarkt Ubahn stop and also very close by walk to many locations. Priced for a 4 star hotel, reasonable, though not the cheapest. If I am to stop in Berlin again this is an attractive option.

The hotel was in a decent location, and the room met expectations. However, our check-in was delayed past the guaranteed 3:00 PM time, and the desk staff seemed quite unconcerned about this, did not offer any compensation, and were not able to give us accurate updates about when our room would be available. I found this disappointing given the price of the room.

Nice hotel if you have small children but there better located hotels in Berlin. The staff were the best. The rooms too small for a family room. There are no taxis in front of the hotel , you have to order by the reception. In general a bit to expensive since you need a cab for almost anything.

We were in Berlin for sightseeing and this hotel was in walking-distance to almost everything. We did not have breakfast included, but around the corner there was a bakery and a supermarked. There are many nice restaurants within a few minutes walk. The hotel-parking is too expensive.

Good location. Internet kept having issues and locking us out. Also ridiculously expensive water - 7 euros for a tiny bottle. You can get massive bottles from supermarket down road for less than a euro so don't get ripped off buying it in the hotel. Would have thought they would cater for international tourists who might want to use bottled water (although the tap water is fine). Other than that it was great - beds nice, spotlessly clean, big room, would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

The staff were all polite and helpfula nd you could tell that they were happy in their jobs. The hotel for conference use is superb. Lots of high quality marker pens, flip chart papers etc. Food at breaks and lunch excellent, high quality, lots of variety and lots for vegetarians. Ate in the restaurant 1 night - big portions. I recently stayed at the Novotel Berlin Mitte for a night in June 2016. After staying at another hotel in East Berlin it was nice to be in a central location and a short distance from most of the main attractions. The hotel itself was modern, clean and spacious and the sort of luxury you expect from a 4-5 star hotel. It's only a short walk to the river where we found plenty of restaurants to enjoy the local cuisine and a beer while watching the sun set. I recommend this hotel and would definitel... Read more

A nice hotel in the centre of Berlin.Totally not sexy in any way, but its all there. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Personally i prefer separate shower stalls and tub, thats maybe my only "complaint". Whats good to know is that the hotel caters for LOADS of kids on weekends. And the problem is , the kids playground is just by reception so volume is like on a rock concert occasionally. But all in all - a good property.

My wife and two girls stayed here for four days from 18 July. The hotel is very clean, modern and the staff are very pleasant helpful and informative. There is a play area for children with an X Box, but this can get busy. Perhaps a timer on the X Box may help with children waiting around. The rooms were clean and our family room was more than suitable. Breakfast was busy at times, but we never waited for a table. There was a wide variety of food available. It set us up nicely for the day'... Read more

First the good points: the staff are friendly, the breakfast is good, and the hotel is conveniently located to the fantastic museums on Museuminsel. It's about a 5 minute walk to the Spittelmarkt U-bahn station, across a small pedestrian bridge. The rooms are very basic, though moderate in size. It felt more like a dormitory room than a hotel room - the wardrobe has no doors or top, and one side is completely open. Furnishing is kept to a minimum, and the air-conditioning is pretty basic as we... Read more

We're staying in a group of 4; 2 adults and 2 child age 8 & 3. The hotel location is good, near public transport and only about 15-20 minutes walk to Berliner Dom. The hotel was okay, clean, well maintained and friendly helpful staff. The only concern is the bed, which is too soft for me (maybe just a personal preference), and the sofa bed which is a bit uncomfortable; the foot side is a bit higher than the upper (head) part.
