The staff were very friendly and helpful! I couldn't fault them! The room was comfortable but very very basic! It didn't have much to offer and lacked character. The hotel itself was situated down a long side road (away from the main road) I personally didn't feel safe walking around at night. When I asked the staff if it was safe at night to walk around, they hesitated to say yes which made me sure it wasn't safe at all! Due to this factor I actually checked out a day early and moved to a more ... Read more

I stayed here last summer and was very, very impressed by it. Very good location. The staff were very helpful and the food was fantastic. I plan to return to Berlin in the future and will definitely look at staying here once again.

Missed a flight so we had to overnght in berlin. Choice was based on meeting up with a friend. Low budget close to 'backpacker' level type of hotel. Funky style. Average breakfast. You get what you pay for basically. East side are with many pubs etc in the vicinity. Remember to have cash, They dont accept credit cards in pubs etc.

WE stayed for 2 nights. When we got to the hotel we were told there were works in the metro line and we would take much more time to get to the centre. We were told they would make arrangements to get a táxi for 8 people. We agreed and asked for a taxi at 9 am. Next day we waited and the taxi had not been reserved. We missed the entrance in a museum that was already payed.

We've stayed at this hotel three times now as we visit our son and his partner regularly in Berlin. Also my wife is fairly disabled. It's a basic three star hotel but comfortable beds, lovely breakfasts and absolutely brilliant staff. They are welcoming, friendly, very very helpful and go out of their way to make our stays (usually of a week's duration) very pleasant. Freidrichshain is a great, buzzy spot, and the hotel's proximity to Boxhagener Platz means great cafes and eateries a less than f... Read more

I had the opportunity to stay several times in the Ibis Styles Berlin Mitte which is a great **hotel. As it was fully booked I decided immediately to chose another house of the same brand but unfortunately it seems to be nothing more than a name and some corporate identity marketing this house has received. As I was used to the easily accessible house in Mitte, I expected the same in Friedrichshain. However, the way to the reception is your first deal breaker if you have problems walking stairs ... Basic hotel but what more do you want, the rooms are clean with tv shower hair drier, my mattress wasn't great and the one pillow was a bit soft but I still slept well Breakfast is excellent continental with good choice and served until 11am Staff all pretty young but very attentive, maid was really cheery There is a coffee station for guests to use throughout 24hours There is a bar at reception and a TV Location is ok a long walk or public transport required for most attractions but there are... The reception staffs from hotel are very nice and helpful. The room for 3 Person is big enough. But if you have a room directly facing the stress, you shouldnâ??t open the window in the night. Coz there are always some drunk people talk loud outside. Hotel offers packing place. It costs only 10 euro per day.

This hotel is a typical Ibis Styles in that it has exactly what you need and nothing more or less. As always, it was clean but a bit small and utilitarian. It is however well located near a U-Bahn (underground) station and the actual building is a converted historical building, making it very attractive - the left luggage room is a cool cellar! Our room was at the back and had a nice view over the courtyard shared with neighboring buildings. The breakfast spread was good, including cereals, col... Read more

When I arrived at the hotel after a flight delay the door was closed. A non-nonfunctional check in robot was all there was. I couldn't get in. The emergency call was answered by someone who told me I didn't have a reservation, although I provided her the booking number. I found another hotel after driving around for 2 hours. I called the Hotel and the lady who answered was friendly, told me I would get the cost difference reimbursed and there would not be any costs. I was quite surprised when I ... Read more

The hotel is in an interesting old building in an'edgy' part of old East Berlin- think lots of graffiti, renovations, slightly scruffy area). Rooms are spotless but tiny-our twin room had 2 beds end to end in a space about 6ft by 14ft,very hard for 2 of us to move around .But the beds were very comfy and bathroom large and light.it has everything you need and the staff are friendly and helpful The U bahn is close by and there are lots of restaurants around.Breakfast was the usual continental wit... Ibis Styles Berlin City Ost is a great hotel. It gives you everything you need. Hotel staff was very friendly and there was always someone at the desk if you need them. Rooms were clean and almost everything was provided. The only bad things in the room were the hairdryer that did not work properly and wifi connection in the room was barely available. The wifi problems are a known problem, so I really hope they can improve this. Breakfast was simple but good enough. The hotel is located within a... Read more

Family of 3, we stayed 3 nights in a family room at 135â?¬ per night. All the usual goodies of Ibis Style such as free Internet and breakfast with duper friendly staffs. However, the rooms are a bit shabby (old carpet, moisture smell) and the coffee is not good. We ended up having breakfast and coffee somewhere else. One note about the beds... The mattress should be turned because they have already taken the shape of the guests đ??®. Parking at the back in a courtyard and bikes available to ren... Read more

I've been in this hotel twice and I've recommended it to many friends visiting the city. It's near a metro station, so in a few minutes you're in the centre. The staff is super polite, the room is comfortable, roomy and clean and the breakfast was great.

The hotel is in a really nice, quiet area. The room was nice, clean and quiet. The breakfast was really good and varied. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Everyone was really friendly and helpful, especially Benjamin, for whom I developed a major crush! All joking aside, you won't be disappointed. The area is nice and the subway is close, so you can get to all major locations really quickly.

Friendly helpful staff, comfortable rooms, more than adequate breakfast and a 150yards to the nearest subway where for 7 euros you can go anywhere in the city as this gets you a day ticket. It is hard to fault this hotel for the money paid thanks to all the staff who made us welcome.

Great email communication prior to my stay. Very helpful staff who had my room ready early after my long flight from Perth. The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The staff assisted with information on where and how. The breakfast was delicious with lovely warm croissants and a decent selection. The location was close to transport, restaurants, markets and cafes. A great introduction to solo travel in Europe.

I stayed at the Ibis Styles Berlin as part of a tour with G Adventures. It was the meeting point hotel and I had 3 nights here in total. It's located in the eastern part of the city and there are a number of cafes and restaurants a short walk from the hotel. Apparently the suburb is an "up-and-coming" trendy suburb in the former East Berlin, although I must say some parts of the surrounding area still looked a little run down. Location wise, it is a little bit out of the way but there is a subwa... Read more

I stayed for two nights in this hotel and it was a disaster!! Wifi network was terrible! Impossible to connect and use it properly! The food was good (bufet breakfast) The worst thing was that I stayed on the ground level and the window of the room was literally on the block of the street so, it was impossible to sleep with the noise of the street!!

The hotel had all the necessities. Big room, spacy and clean bathroom, good breakfast and wifi that works well. Location is just perfect. In the middle of Friedrichshain, it's a short walk away from Boxhagener Platz (farmers and flea market every weekend) where there's plenty of cafés, bars and all sorts of restaurants to choose from. There was also a possibility to store the luggage after the check out.

This hotel is non-smoking in bedrooms and I think in public rooms too. It's friendly, clean and comfortable and is in an interesting part of the old east Berlin. There was enough choice at breakfast and our room was a good size. It's very quick on the nearby underground to get to Alexanderplatz , and we had a good time finding restaurants and interesting bars locally in the evening. Unfortunately people still smoke in the bars but we found a great little cafe bar nearby called Herman Schulz, whe... Read more
