Stayed here in December with my boyfriend for a few nights and we had a fantastic time. The hotel itself was beautiful. Quality furnished to very high standards. You really feel like it is a luxury. The best part for us was its great location. We got a train from the airport as it was a much cheaper route and it went directly to the station that is literally seconds away from this hotel. For this reason alone I would really rate it highly. Also very convenient as it is based a short walk (10-20 ... Read more

Worth it to upgrade to a slightly larger room. The rooms are immaculate and airy with traditional German beds and bedding. Smaller hotel with nice seating area in the lobby and outside. The bar on the roof had not yet opened so we missed that. The staff was very helpful, bilingual German and English.

This was my fourth city break in Berlin in the past few years. I've stayed in four different hotels in that time, and this was one of the best. I thought I'd try somewhere a little out of the city centre to get a flavour of another part of town, and I wasn't disappointed. It's not too far out of the centre: you can walk to the TV Tower or Hackescher Market in 15 minutes. Or rent one a bike. Like most hotels in Berlin The Amano is excellent value. There's no restaurant except for the breakfas... Read more

Whilst the hotel met most of our needs it was perhaps more suited to business purposes. Rooms are comfortable but fairly basic, no tea making facilities, only one kitchen type chair in a double room, no basin soap or flannels. There is a bit of a design flaw with the shower, the door opens outwards preventing you from putting the shower mat ready, it also allows some water to escape under the door too. Hanging space was limited for more than one person, no luggage rack for the suitcase. I foun... Read more

Myself and four friends stayed at the hotel AMANO for 3 nights white we visited Berlin. All I can say is we were all very happy with the service and quality we got for our money. Greeted by a very helpful and friendly member of staff who in no time checked us in and gave us a map of Berlin and highlighted things and places we should see and go to while we were there. The hotel has great location next to the central train station. The decor is mercilessly black and white. The breakfast was very nice. There were issues with billing. It took very long time to check out and check in (they only have two people at the reception). Internet was in working condition. There is a coffee maker in the room with a display of nice coffees that are NOT free (you will hopefully notice that at the last moment before you start brewing your coffee).

I chose this hotel because it was central. It is. Across the road from main railway station. But not a lot in local area. The hotel is very nice. Nice & friendly staff. Nice Bistro on the side. Nice outdoor roof bar with great views, if weather is fine. Check out the bar on 6th floor. Recommended. One disappointment was that I was offered an upgrade because my room wasn't ready, for ?20 per night. This is NOT worth the money. Only difference was a sofa bed. Ok if you have children. Also,... We very much enjoyed our stay at hotel Amano and found the staff to be very helpful. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in a very young, hip neighborhood--a great place to be a tourist but feel like a local. The hotel does not have an abundance of amenities. Self-sufficient travelers will love this hotel while less experienced travelers may prefer other more traditional tourist hotels. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is quite lovely. We had an XL apt given we had 4 people and wanted to have 2 actual beds vs. a sleeper sofa. The location was fantastic. The room was clean and very affordable. The only drawback was that there were zero amenities: no room service, shampoo, conditioner, wash cloths, tissues, small fridge, ice or ice bucket. If you want a cold drink then buy it before you come back to your room. We enjoyed staying here as there is a small supermarket across the street. This hotel/apartment was beautifully decorated, minimal but simply gorgeous. Sadly, I haven't got any full length snaps of the bathroom to show you, but it was insane!
