Holiday Inn in the northern part of Berlin. Excellent connection to the public transport system as less than 5 min walk to the S Bahn (ring) and U Bahn station so can get anywhere in Berlin as you want/need. Hotel looks a bit dated outside and in parts inside too. However, everything works and it was clean. Helpful and friendly staff @ check in and out. Bed was comfortable although pillows a little soft for my liking. Small but functional bathroom or more accurately shower room (with sta... Read more

Stayed here with two friends at the beginning of April. It was very far out from where you want to be so I wouldn't rate the location at all. The staff were okay, not the friendliest... Rooms were old fashioned BUT I can't complain as they were clean and for a budget hotel I suppose that's all you can expect! Wouldn't stay again but only because I found it very far from the things I wanted to do in Berlin.

Not sure where to start. This place make me fee like being an awful 80's soap. This place has no soul. It is not clean, it is not comfortable. People at reception treat you like a number. Even the view is depressing. Only go there if you really don't have NO other choice

I have no reservations recommending this hotel having stayed at this hotel before & have always found it to be excellent, in location, price, comfort, cleanliness & friendliness of the hotel staff. The hotel is typical 1960s, however this shouldn't detract from the fact that it is a nice unpretentious place to stay. The rooms are large, clean, warm & comfortable. The bar is well stocked & the restaurant is big. Breakfast is excellent catering for all tastes, All services throughout the hotel ar... Read more

Berlin Mitte Holiday Inn is a super oasis. Immaculately clean, fast wifi, right opposite a lush park with hauntingly beautiful singing birds. Quiet. Just right for a work trip. I will definitely go back.

This hotel is old but very clean room and housekeeper is best service. The staff at Front desk is unfriendly. except the man who check in and check out me. The hotel not far from train station and many restuarant around the hotel. It not in the city but just 4-5 station to heart of city. It is not good hotel of holiday inn chain but for the price it is ok.

We stayed here as a family of 4 with 2 young children and this hotel was ideal for us. Our room was a family room so had a second room for our boys (6 and 9) which had a connecting door so was ideal when we all wanted to go to bed a different times. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful - we arrived before the 3pm check in time but the hotel were able to look after our luggage until we could check in which was very useful. The wifi didn't work on our first day but was quick and... Read more

Stayed there as a secret deal, will not stay there again. Prefer to spend a little more on a much better value real hotel. To my experience this wasn't even a 2-star hotel, let alone 4! As we were in the room, two people came into the room, once at 830 and 1630! The later one kept on slamming doors in the corridor. This didn't only happen once, but multiple times during our four night stay. The room was pretty warm and the only cooling device was a medium fan and two locked windows (which ... Read more

The rooms are not air conditioned. Very average rooms and an average bathroom. Good service and good breakfast. Needs a update ASAP. There is also only one elevator to service seven floors so sometimes it could take about ten minutes to get to the lobby. That is why I say it is average

The best things about this hotel are that it is in a relatively quiet neighbourhood, is close to excellent transport links - 3 stops to Brandenburg Gate, and was very reasonable via a lastminute secret hotel deal - which claimed 4* but this is not a 4* hotel in my book! It is clean and the room was okay, with lovely views of the sunset from the 5th floor. The staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed with my two kids and husband here for 2 nights. pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Breakfast was good, The best part of this hotel is its location, super connected to anywhere in Berlin and lots of eateries around. There is free wifi but unfortunately we had a room which is in the shadow and so got disconnected often and we had to log back in again and again.

I booked Hotel believing it would be in Mitte but its at least 30 min by cab from there. Totally misleading advertising as I spend more on cabs going to Mitte than if I would have stayed at any other more luxurious place. Service is very friendly, breakfast is great, property needs a total overhaul . It looks like it has not been renewed in 50 years!

We booked this place for its location: it is advertised to be centrally located in Berlin Mitte. However, you will find yourself in a questionable neighborhood that reminds you of Istanbul more than anything else. It takes another 4 train stops to get to where you want to be. So don't be fooled by the name! The hotel itself is very old - bad smell in the hallways, no AC which is extremely unpleasant in July, broken shower wall, old tiny TV, no safe in the room, useless hairdryer, wifi didn't re... We stayed there last August. I totally agree that the hotel name is very misleading although it is far from S-Bahn station, so you can easily get to any place in the central Berlin within half an hour at maximum. Guys at the reception were apparently students working during the summer break or new joiners, i.e. they were trying hard but lacked experience very much; as a result my card was charged twice with correct and incorrect amounts and latter was blocked for a month by the bank. The hotel i... Read more

Here are the problems: - there is no AC in the rooms and Windows don't open (locked with a keylock) - toilet didn't fully flush. It takes 5 minutes to flush a piece of paper - shower drain is stuffed and water gathers in the shower - no hair conditioner - no vending machine and no place to even buy water except the minibar (3.5 Euro per bottle) and the concierge answer to "where can I get a bottle of water?" was a smirk and "you have a mini bar" - I am a platinum member at IHG and I got none of... This hotel is situated in the area called Mitte and you think it is close to the center of the town. Unfortunately this isn't correct. Even though it is possible to walk to the center it is preferable to take the S or U Bahn and the station is pretty near by. The hotel is old and worn but the rooms are nice, clean and with the necessary equipment. We had a family room with two separate rooms and a walk-in dressing room. The Internet was somewhat unstable, but this could be because of the amount ... Read more

It is not so quiet as it is close to Tegel Airport and if stay on the odd number side you will hear all the planes departing It is a little big with two different "towers" , bar is good as it stays open till 1 am with the possibility of a good pizza Watch the price , it can be really expensive if rhe hotel is with a lot of guests. Berlin Mitte in German means Berlin Center, however this is a misnomer. The hotel is NOT at the Center! A Rustic Hotel having the signs of old Soviet Union architecture, gives you a different feeling of Berlin. I was really amazed by the architecture and style the hotel has. A rustic television, the old style cupboards, the traditional old style room heaters, Non Air Conditioned. The locality of the hotel itself gives you an image of being in Russia. To begin with, it's surely not a luxury hotel. It's clean, well-kept and the staff is co-operative most of the time. It's not in the city centre like the name suggests but the location is great- just about a 7 minute walk from the Gesundbrunnen station from where everything is a 20 minute ride. There are a couple of places to eat in, around the hotel but the area around is sort of strange, with some drunk people. I wouldn't recommend exploring the locality. Such a beautiful and tranquil setting, so different to everywhere else we travelled in Kerala. Fabulous views especially with the mist over the valley at sunrise. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and it was a truly authentic Keralan experience. The food was delicious and we were almost embarrassed at how little we were charged. The meal arrangements meant we ate with other guests providing an opportunity to meet other travellers and share stories.

Booked a room for 5 adults. Great room/suite, very large with plenty of space. One bed was a "out you up" style bed, but that wasn't a huge problem. Very clean hotel. The staff never knew what was going on, the bed was clean but the comforter was gross and matted down and the carpet was disgusting. The TV was a huge box that hardly worked and we had to go to the pub next door to get wifi because the one at the hotel didn't work. The breakfast wasn't worth is and the location was horrible. Stay closer to the city center we were too far from everything in a weird part of town!
