We just came back from a wonderful stay at this Holiday Inn. To begin with, location, location!! The hotel is next to the tram and the subway is a short walk. There are shops, food restaurants and even a supermarket nearby. The hotel provides trains tickets (make sure you validate them in the train so you don??t get in trouble) at the counter which was very convenient. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff, at any time, day or night were humble and professional. For check-in... Read more

At first we got a room which smelled horribly (i think it was the sewage system), the next day we asked for a transfer and the staff told us they were really busy since it was Easter Holiday. However they managed to find a room for us.... We were expecting at least one 'sorry' or maybe one free breakfast meal, but nope. The staff member that let us into the room did not speak English and had a very hard time explaining to us what was going on. I expected better service and a higher standards at ... Read more

My stay at this hotel was a very good experience. The rooms were larger by European standards and very clean. The breakfast buffet offered a very wide selection of food items to choose from and in a room that can accommodate all of the guests comfortably. Regarding the front desk staff and check-in process, the staff is very nice, attentive and courteous.. All in all, this hotel is a very good choice to stay at. There are above ground train lines just a few minutes away from the hotel and you ca... Read more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in April. The lobby was bright and airy with large windows facing the street on the main road. A tram was going past at that time. The hotel is easy to find with its large windows and the green signage. Check in was smooth and the staff friendly. We were shown the lift off to the side of the reception. We were on the 4th floor facing the back. The room was a typical Holiday Inn style. The room was a decent size for two people. There was no safe availab... Read more

The hotel is actually nice and comfortable, delicious breakfasts but we were working almost 4 days in conference room there and the specific of our work needs internet connection all the time. But it didn't work well with internet. It was ok in the room but not during workshop. I would recommend this hotel for people who come for holidays and business trip to Berlin - really nice location, few station to Alexander Platz, very nice neighborhood (I can tell you as a person with bad neighborhood ... had a very nice stay for one week. The desk inside the bedroom is too small to work on it for more than one hour but overall I was happy about my stay. I could do a late check out without extra charges.

i had booked 2 rooms to stay on 3rd and 4th july at the hotel and i found the hotel to be a very good steal at the prices quoted. the hotel is very close to the heart of the city which can be reached by a tram which has a station just opposite the hotel. we reached at the hotel at around 1 pm however the room wasnt ready and hence we used the small bar at the reception sipping down berliner beers! the rooms were big and clean. the bathroom was spacious. only issue was the non availability of too... The reception team were very helpful and nice, the room was spacious enough with a writing desk and a minibar, the location is not ideal but the the M2 is few meters away from the hotel. BUT the aircondition made more noise then cool air and on warm days staying inside was not pleasant. The cleaning staff is not well managed and my room hasn't been cleaned one day. The very next day I complained about it wanting to make sure the room will be cleaned wasn't. The room was cleaned only af... Read more

This was our second visit to this property twice in one year and this time we booked two rooms . The sole reason for su to choose this hotel was our pleasant stay in our previous visit in July'15. We informed the Hotel staff about our previous visit to their Hotel and this time as a token of thanks we were greeted with a tray of fruits and a bottle of water from them in both our rooms which was a nice gesture. Over all the Hotel is great, exactly what you expect from a typical Holiday Inn. Rooms... Read more

I have never been disappointed anytime I stayed in a Holiday Inn and this was another enjoyable experience. Very friendly staff, nice room and good breakfast buffet at a reasonable price. Not as close to the city centre as the name would have you believe but its not a problem as the public transport is very good; tram outside the door and the train station less than 5 minute walk. They also sell the family public transport cards at reception which is very useful.

Pros: clean hotel with spacious rooms and ample place to put your bags. There is also a long desk provided. Hairdryer and fridge in room. There is no safe in room but there are safes by the reception that you can use. Small coffee and tea maker is in room too. No iron, but one can easily be requested and they will bring it up to the room. Good location...10 to 15 minutes away from Alexanderplatz on the M2 tram, which stops directly in front of hotel. S-bahn is within walking distance of hotel to... Read more

We booked in here for 4 days and extended our stay for a further three as we found it so comfortable, convenient and well-located. Based in the East side of Berlin it is located within walking distance of historic wall memorials in an interesting and vibrant part of the city. Frequent trams and trains can transport you to any part of the city. Our room was large and airy with plenty of room for three plus luggage. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good transport links. Very handy to be on the M2 24 hour Tram line, very frequent service, 10 minutes into Alexandaplatz. Only 5 minutes walk to Prenzlauer Allee S-Bahn station too. Very clean, quite modern hotel. Arrived for 3pm check-in but room wasn't ready. No problem though as we left bags and explored the local area for half an hour. Quite spacious rooms ours at the front had a small balcony. Decent facilities. Only slight downsides were a towel rack in the large powerful shower which i co... Read more

All in all, i would say it's a nice 3* hotel! I think for the value of money you could possibly find something better especially if you're staying for longer than a night or two. After a great stay in Holiday Inn Vilnius, we've decided to go for the same chain for a 5nights city break in Berlin. The room has been allocated on the 5th floor. It was quite small and the window was facing the windows of the other rooms. Bed was comfortable, but what really surprised us was that they did not have doub... Read more

Stayed here for a couple of nights with friends. No complaints about the hotel as we knew how far we were from the centre. This is not an issue though as the tram stop to Alexander Platz is right outside and the S-Bahn station is about a 5 minute walk. The hotel sells the tickets too so very convenient. Hotel itself is pretty much a standard Holiday Inn, the bar area is pretty small though so would be a struggle if there were a lot of people waiting. Apart from that nothing else to mention re... Service and standard just what you'd expect from the Holiday Inn chain. Breakfast excellent with a good choice of dishes. Staff friendly, efficient and English speaking (great for us). Ideal location situated near our son's home but near all transport links into the centre of the city. The only downside was some very drunk, noisy British neighbours but that was not the hotels fault. Would stay here again and recommend.

This hotel is OK, but nothing special. - hence my average rating for the price Its clean, modern, warm, has plenty of hot water, breakfast OK, staff very pleasant helpful 6 min walk to train stop (S bahn ring), direct train from Schonfield airport Negatives You can hear the traffic noise starting up at 5 am -even on the fifth floor Avoid rooms near the lifts eg 301, 302, 303, 304 - as you get disturbed at night by lift pinging and people chatting going in and out of lift....

The hotel itself is good and clean. the staf are very nice. the hotel located in a quiet neighborhood, not in the spotlight but you can reach the center by tram that located outside the hotel. its very strange that the safe box not found in the room. its found in the lobby and if u want to use one u need to ask the reception and get a key. be aware that if u lost the key u will have to pay 50 euro !!

The hotel is well located for public transport. It is attractive in style. The staff are extremely helpful. The room clean and more than adequate. For an $5 each added to the booking fee, we had the most amazing breakfast buffet - the best $5 I have ever spent for a meal. This is just a really nice hotel - worth a stay.

The hotel was excellent in every way, the staff, the room, all excellent. It was however in a part of Berlin that I would never wish to visit again. I was there because the clinic I needed to take my son to was opposite the hotel. There is however good tram links into Central Berlin. The tram stops right outside the hotel and runs ever 7 minutes. For 7 euros a day you can use trams, rail and buses to go everywhere, you can buy a week long ticket. If you are able bodied this hotel is perfect,... Read more

I visited Hotel Holiday Inn Berlin for my business trip. The hotel is little away from airport but very near from many exiting tourist places. Hotel has normal facilities which are needed for a short stay. This does not have many luxury facilities. Service and breakfast was up to the mark.
