I stay regularly at the Hilton Berlin, my past two stays having been 05-06 May, 2016 (1 night) and 18-20 March, 2016 (2 nights); for business. The Hilton Berlin is my favourite hotel in Berlin, as evident from the repeat stays. The hotel has an excellent location, not only facing the Gendarmenmarkt - one of the most beautiful squares in Berlin - but also directly above the "Stadtmitte" underground stationon the U2 line, giving easy access to all of Berlin. The hotel is also located across from ... Read more

Very central hotel in lovely quiet area. We had room only deal and would recommend paying 50 Euro daily supplement to have access to the Executive suite - this allows for breakfast, tea and light supper bites in the evening with alcohol for two people. Well worth it. They charge for Wi-Fi unless you are a Hilton Honours member, which I think is a bit unnecessary in this day and age

Although I'm disappointed that Hilton has virtually made it impossible for Gold members to get upgraded lounge access these days, the complimentary breakfast buffet was quite nice. The hotel itself was easy to reach via the U from central station. Great views of the music hall and 2 churches with easy public transit almost anywhere. Checkpoint Charlie and the Berlin Wall memorial are both an easy walk.

The hotel is nice with allot of potential The rooms were very hot and stuffy. The air conditioning does not work at all and we shifted to 3 rooms. All with the same problem. The food in the lounge was not so great either. Very salty. The people and service was excellent and everyone tried hard but when the rooms are so uncomfortable with no air circulation and no air conditioning it makes it hard to say it's a great hotel.

Berlin Hilton is an immense hotel, and very typical of the larger Hiltons in that the hotel has no particular soul or personality, but neither can one find many major faults. The rooms are huge by European standards, the beds and bedding provide a comfortable sleep, the bathrooms are of good size - the only complaint being the standard European "half glassed" shower/tub that has neither shower door nor curtain to close, and thus poses the challenge of showering without hosing water all over the... Staff and location are the key. Being in Berlin for business and leisure very often, Hilton at Gendarmenmarkt has become my favorite spot to stay. One may find hotels with larger rooms, but neither my wife not I found one where staff is as friendly and accommodating . While staff is delivering outstanding level of service, location matches this: enjoy the excellent breaking with the best view in Berlin, and, yes, your in the heart of the city.

Gorgeous hotel, but very VERY pricy. Glass of local riesling ‚?¨14, was a bit steep really. Had a nice supper here, but again over priced for what it was. Also charging for WIFI in this day and age is really overkill. However if you join Hilton Honors, it's free. The check in staff were lovely though. Breakfast is fantastic, excellent choice of fruit, hot and cold buffet and the option for a take away coffee is really good. Had a room overlooking the "courtyard", not exactly pretty, but at... This is the most favorite hotel whenever traveling to Berlin because of its location. The U-Bahn is just at the corner and takes me to the office on M√ľller street for just about 15 min or 6 stops. Even it is located at the center of the city near some of major attractions as other travelers has rated, impressively the room is so quiet due to either good construction or quietness of Mohren Street. Our family of four booked a family room for three nights prior to a Baltic cruise. As mentioned in the many reviews before, the location is stellar. The rooms are adequate in size. We were on the sixth floor and apparently there's a private club situated above on the 7th floor. This was not a good thing. A lot of banging, furniture moving especially in the middle of the night. Excellent room, all that we needed comfort and luxury! The room was very nice and the buffet breakfast had a great selection of items to eat. The only problem with our room was that it was on the second floor and if we opened the windows for air rather than the air conditioning, it opened out onto a concrete and small garden area where someone could essentially walk and then come in the window.

Firstly let me say that this hotel was in a great position and was very smart inside: rooms, reception, restaurant etc. great. However on check in DO NOT present a DEBIT card - I did and then had a 'pending charge' of 225 euros for TWO WEEKS after departure. This is despite me prepaying for the hotel prior to arrival. Apparently they have the potential to charge 'whatever they feel you may spend' in your break: I understand this but surely this can be re-credited to my account within 2 or 3 days... Read more

Stayed 2 nights in Hilton Berlin for business. The location could not be better- cenral and a pretty view of the cathedral. Unfortunately this is the only positive about it- the rest was quite disappointing: - long queues at check-in - the bed was hard as a rock- both I and my colleague had a neck pain in the mornings - when we needed an umbrella, we were sent by the 3 free doorman back to reception to get some (where again a long queue) - the breakfast was average, at a price of 32 Euro - pa... I came to the city for holiday and must say that this was a great choice for our hotel. It's literally next to a U-Bahn stop so you can easily go across the city with no issue. There are also shops and nice restaurants around. If you just want to grab some snacks for your day out you can quickly buy them from the grocery store located in a shopping centre nearby (prices are quite competitive). The hotel in general was very comfortable, the room was spacious, very clean and had a desk for work. ... Read more

This is my first time staying at a Hilton hotel, and Hilton sure delivers. Firstly, the standard is great, the interior is modern and has a exclusive feel to it. The eating areas are spacious, and the breakfast has a good selection. In the evening the lounge is a great place to relax, socialize, and listen to live music. The quality of the rooms is what you would expect from the Hilton brand. Clean, spacious, (my room was quiet as well). The location is great and everything worth visitin... Read more

I particularly liked sitting near the window in the dining area and looking out on the street. Great ambiance! If you are a walker you will be able to get to many important tourist sights easily. The view from our room was amazing. It was just an overall great experience at the Hilton Berlin. If you need a hotel and are on the fence, please choose this one; you will not regret it.

We arrived at the hotel - to be told that the room was not ready for guaranteed check in at 2pm - reason given was that there had been some very smelly cheese in the room - they were not willing to give us another room - having travelled a long way to get to Berlin this was really not funny - 2 hours later the room was made available. Because we booked via Expedia we were told that Wifi was an extra and would cost EUR 40 per day (extraordinary in this day and age) - furthermore we were told that... Read more

We stayed for a few nights for a city break. the location is great. I thought the room was ok - decoration a bit gloomy and bathroom needed an update but otherwise our room was quiet and the breakfast really good. The hidden charges of having to pay for WIFI in the room (its free in the public area) and having to pay extra to use the sauna (E13.50 per day) was, I thought, a bit much given the room price and would stop me returning.

Great location for Berlin with a wonderful view of the cathedral from the breakfast room (or your room if you are on that side). Checkpoint Charlie is 5 mins walk and only another 5 mins for the Topography of Terror Museum, which is behind a large section of the Berlin Wall. The location for the Hilton is marvelous for the tourist. The square is across the street and many popular sites and museums are within walking distance. We did not use the public spaces of the hotel much because we opted for the executive lounge option. Our calculations were that the increment for the lounge offset the cost of breakfast. Also we would drop in for snacks and a light dinner. Lounge has English newspapers and computers. Located on ground floor, so people watching is a favorite pas... Read more

Attended the hotel for a conference over three days. Was staying in the hotel as well. Very luxurious and a very comfortable place to be for business. Conference area was perfect with plenty of space and facilities. Staff were very friendly. There was a snag when a poster I had couriered there was lost by the airport. However, the business manager went very much out of his way to ensure it was found, which fully made up for the situation.

I looked fwd to a nice swim Sunday morning and was greeted by the staff at the swimming pool saying the chlorine levels in the pool were too high, due to maintenance.
