We really enjoyed our stay at Azimut Kurfurstendamm. Our room was a good size at good value. We were offered a quiet room which we took, and it was just as stated, little city noise and none from other rooms. The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the train station Zoologischer Garten, only a short hop from the city centre, and there are plenty of restaurants to try in the area too. The hotel staff were great, helping us with getting around on the trains and making our stay easy... Read more

This hotel is excellent in terms of location, it's located in the middle of a large and busy shopping district, which was very convenient for us. It is also within walking distance of both U-bahn and S-bahn and there are several bus stops right outside the main entrance to the hotel. We really couldn't have asked for more, in terms of location and accessibility. Unfortunately, we thought the interior was rather dated, they could really do with a bit of a refurbishment.. As most reviewers on he... Read more

Recently stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 nights. In a fantastic location, right by an underground station that has easy links to most areas of the city. Based in a shopping district so plenty of shops, cafe's, bars and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. On arriving we were placed into a room on the first floor which was tatty, dirty and outdated, we then complained to the receptionist (as it wasn't like the photos we had seen and booked based on) she without a blink moved us to... This hotel is very near the Zoologische Garten station and is in a good area for restaurants and shopping. It is a bit worn and dated, but the service is excellent and many of the rooms are huge. There are a variety of rooms available and you never quite know what you'll get but I have stayed here several times and have been very pleased each time. This hotel offers excellent value for the money.

Stayed for three nights - travelled with family and friends. We had exceptionally spacious room for three on corner by the Ku'damm junction. Friends had adequate nearby double room. Staff were great, friendly and informative and our requested early check-in was ready for us on arrival. Room was clean and despite its location on a potentially busy road junction was surprisingly quiet - no problem with sleeping. Breakfast had extensive choices and we were also able to pay bill on night befor... Read more

If you are in Berlin for a couple of days and want to be connected to the whole city then this is the place to be. The hotel is affordable as well with a very basic breakfast. The Berlin Zoo is also 5 mins walk away and there are many food options nearby as well.

The hotel is very well located at the centre of Kurfürstendamm, the main shopping street in Berlin. The entrance of the hotel has too many steps, and you have to carry your luggage up and down those stairs, and whatever else you have after shopping. I had a triple room, which was huge, but not refurbished. The toilette was too small, you either close the door or stand in front of the sink, you cannot do both. We were supposed to stay for three weeks, we ended up leaving after two nights because... Read more

Originally booked 2 nights and only stayed 1. Booked a standard double room which includes a refrigerator and a tv. No fridge so I went and asked reception. The man said "sorry we threw them all out on that side of the hotel" which it never said anything about this when I booked. The TV did not work. I also arrived to someone's hair on my bed!1 It is however in a great location and easy to get to places. Room wasn't enjoyable !!!

It was hot in Berlin. The room was 90 degrees -no exaggeration. It cooled down at night but the room stayed hot because there was zero cross breeze. The front desk would not provide a fan. We stayed one night, which I did not sleep a wink and then checked out. 30 stairs to lug bags around would any assitance. It is a good location. They did provide storage for our bags while we waited for our new hotel. The front desk did recommend a good restaraunt. I've stayed in rooms without A/C before bu... Read more

Just back from a fabulous city break in Berlin, some people may see the hotel as dated but l would wish to compliment the staff who were most helpful at all times and when approached for assistance were persistent in resolving my connection to the network. The hotel was reasonable priced and good value with the breakfast buffet plentiful which set me up for the day. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean with no problem in getting a good night's sleep. in comparison to another review I a... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Azimut hotel for four nights in June on a city break to Berlin. On arrival, we were concerned as we arrived later than expected due to a delayed flight from Gatwick, however the reception is 24hr and the staff members are friendly and efficient. The room itself was clean, large and spacious BUT there was no air conditioning or fan in the room, meaning that in mid-June, it was very very warm! The positioning of the hotel on the main road, although very useful f... Read more

I have been to Berlin several times as this is one of my favourite European cities and have experience a few hotel's. This hotel is easy to get to and fronm the airport via taxi. This hotel is a great landmark with a notable facade and not far from a myriad of bars and restaurants. The interior has undergone quite a bit of renovation however in places there is still more work to be done to bring it up to a good standard. The doors to the rooms are a bit tricky and we had to get help as we couldn... Read more

Spent 5 nights in a room that was like an oven , room was at the front of the hotel so extremely noisy and no fan available when asked at front desk . Spent every night up and down opening and shutting the window , noise or heat great choice !!! Had a complimentary bottle of water left for us but that was warm as no fridge in room and had to go to reception every time we wanted anything to drink as no kettle etc in room . Lovely clean hotel which is very handy for traveling about bus and train stations close by.There is ample bars, restaurants and shops round about so you won't go hungry. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff couldn't be more helpful they made us feel very welcome and they went out of their way to help us if we had any questions. The room was well laid out it included a hairdryer, tv, fridge and even had a safe in it. Before we arrived we asked for a kettle and a fan and they were both wait... Read more

Very lovely staff! great location, lovely vintage design, clean, nice rooms (our first double room was very small but we were happily transferred to a bigger one. We also had a strange mixup with the breakfast and wheter or not we get one, but maybe it was a misunderstanding. We had one in the end and it was basic but good. In any case - the staff was very friendly and it was all worked out in the end. the only problem we encountered was the big staircase at the entrance which was challengin... Read more

My husband and I went for a 2night trip to Berlin and stayed at the Azimut hotel. It's location is great and the public transport is so easy to use (we got a 72 hr travel card). The hotel is fab, basic but has everything you need. The staff were lovely. They let us check in early when we arrived and kept our baggage in a secure place on our last day once we'd checked out. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for somewhere that's good value and in a comvenient location to exp... Read more

We liked a lot. Location is great for exploring city. Underground, train and bus stops are near. Room was big and bathroom nice but there wasn't air conditioning, which could be an issue for someone. However we managed fine although days and nights were hot. Breakfast is okay for a price. Staff were friendly and helpful. A wonderful hotel for a price in every way.

Reasonable hotel, close to the central train station, is the great shopping street, convenient to reach everywhere, Breakfast nice, basic enough. The main drawback, entrance, up half a floor and stairs, very hard after flight arrivals and carry your bags up the stairs, and distance to the elevator. Do not take the rooms facing the main road, the noise of rescue vehicles is very strong, hot days a bit difficult because there is no air conditioning, only heating. Good service .

Spent a long weekend at this hotel but it needs updating. It is very tired and shabby. The carpets throughout are threadbare and need replacing. However having said that the bedding towels etc were clean the rooms were adequate for what we paid. There is no safe in the room but you can leave any valuables in the main safe at reception. The breakfast was usual continental and was OK. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were on hand to always help you. The location is excellent being situ... Read more

Great hotel very close to train station and central for shops and restaurants. Breakfast had cereals, toast, jam ,honey, fruit hot food scrambled eggs and sausage. Fruit juice. Rooms are very clean and had hair dryer in our room. There is a bar for hotel guests with comfy sofas and a bar.. Only draw back I could see are the steps up to reception from the road to get into hotel so you do need to steady on your feet.

Picked this hotel mainly because of its central location allowing us to walk almost everywhere conveniently. The room turned out to be nice and spacious (comfort double). Wifi worked well and we enjoyed the breakfast. Service was good and rate quite competitive when we visited in July a few years ago. The only slight issue was we had to carry our luggage up on the stairs (good exercise).

Arrived at Berlin early in the morning, after a long flight. The staff was every sympathetic and helpful. They find a nice quiet room for me. The best 6 hours stay I have ever had. Thank you again. By the way, the location is the hotel is great. Next time I will stay longer and do some sightseeing.

I have booked a single room and it's so old and small like a prison with absolute nothing, no fridge, no security box, no amenity things provided. It was really depressing provided that I have paid about 200euro per night! I have requested to pay more to upgrade to superior twin room on my second night and the room is much bigger. Please be careful that you need to climb up from stairs to access to lobby and your room and none will help you with this. This hotel is totally out of manpower and... Read more

I've chosen this hotel because the location was perfect for me. The price was not cheap but ok for what I've seen in the pictures on their web. As soon as I got in the reception for check in I realized that it hadn't been a good choice, but I had already paid and I was staying only 2 nights. Here is where I start to feel cheated, the room had nothing to do with what they still show in pictures. Stayed in during August for a weekend away for myself and my partner. Wanted a mid budget place and found this one. Its not exactly the same as the pictures, slight wear and tear around corridors etc but our room was perfect. Only downside was our 'double' bed was two singles. After speaking to the gentleman on reception he informed us that this is normal and it is a request to have a double bed rather than two twins, said we could wait but we would have to wait a few hours, as we were only ther...
