My husband and I both in our eighties stayed there for ten days in May this year it is without a doubt best hotel ever all the staff were so polite pleasant and helpful from the waiters to the concierge and the reception was extra special. The breakfast buffet was brilliant. Our room was so comfortable and quiet. Added to which we loved Berlin first time in Germany it was delightful the Berliners are lovely people. Thanks for a lovely holiday. Frank and Sylvia from Leeds UK.

We were upgraded to a mini-suite (room 143), a very nice, large room with a massive bathroom -- two sinks, separate bathtub and large shower. The only downside for us was the one small window. Many have discussed the construction going on but we were not bothered by it. Front desk people were pleasant, friendly, and check-in was fast. Bags came to the room quickly. Concierge was very helpful. There was a glitch the morning after check-in. The previous evening I had paid 15 euros for the br... Read more

Only for two nights but it was great. Room very clean, great lobby, really helpful stuff, negative was the wifi which was free only up to1024k, for higher speed payment was needed. And 15euro p/p breakfast I found it a little bit overpriced but I didn't try to tell you.

I recently hosted an event at the Crown Plaza and they did an excellent job hosting the event. The hotel was centrally located and within walking distance of the train station, a major mall, and many of the main tourist sites in Berlin. If I stayed in Berlin again, I would definitely stay at this hotel.

Haven't seen that much info about their breakfast, so here I come - Breakfast buffet was fantastic!! They have anything a human being might want to eat in the morning. Fried potatoes, bacon, eggs, salads, pancakes, honey, chocolate sauce, maple sauce, sausages, salami, yogurts, cereal, cheese, butter, jams, breads, croissants, tea, coffee, juices.. Everything was great! only negative thing about the hotel, wass the wifi.. it was ok when it connected, but many times it just didn't connect.

Only downside about this hotel was not very close to places where we want to go otherwise I will give the rating excellent. The room is very nice roomy. The most impressive was the bathroom, it has shower and bathtub separately, and double sink which I never seen in any hotels before. The restaurant was delicious, and the staff was very helpful.

A hotel in a more quiet part of Berlin, the check in was really nice, friendly and made me feel welcome. The room is really nice, the bed is comfy and there are lots of good restaurants all around. The bathroom is also really nice, modern and clean. Overall a realy good stay. Only tip I can give to anyone who hates hot rooms: The aircon in this hotel does not work very well, so in the summer, ask for a room that is not sun facing during the day/evening - that will reduce the temp dramatically.

Not too bad, but not on the Platz, although it is near enough to walk to the Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag which are a few more minutes walk beyond the Platz. This was a 2-night business trip in the middle of Summer but the rate was very good for a major European city in mid-week. I now know why ! Its not actually near Potsdamer Platz and it really is a bit isolated, so you trudge through using public transport, or you get taxis. Taxis arrive within 2 minutes when called, and it was about ?27 for a one-way fare from Tegal Airport (which is a horrible place, but that's another review for another day). The Crowne Plaza Potsdamer Platz is a long walk from the place known in Berlin as Potsdamer Platz. The name of the hotel is thus misleading - if the tourist believes the hotel is close to that famous crossroads square and station. Even the closest station of the city railroad (to this hotel) is not Potsdamer Platz but Anhalter Bahnhof. The walking distance from the hotel to the Platz is roughly one and a half kilometers. Hotels often try to use names of known land... Read more

Very nice hotel; rooms small but clean and pretty. Breakfast excellent and the restaurant is beautiful. The cocktail bar is a little pricey but again beautiful and the bar staff make you feel very welcome. There were scuffs on the walls that I feel should have been cleaned off or painted over. The Crown Plaza is well situated to explore Berlin and far enough from it to provide a bit of rest bite from overtures of the city. Rooms are spacious, clean with good amenities. Area is a little too quiet, located 10 minutes walk from the actual Potsdammer Platz, so I have to admit that the hotel title/address is a little disingenious. That said the hotel itself is really good. A building site out back does not disturb sleep quality. Rooms are excellent, though showers can be like wet rooms...so be carefull. Stayed 8 nights recently on a business trip with my husband. Fantastic and friendly staff! The rooms are modern, clean and large! Location is great to two train stations.
