We decided to stay here because it was a little bit outside the city (we were going to be there around New Year's Eve). Also, the price was decent. It's only about 10 mins. to the city centre from the hotel. They have maps at the reception with a route clearly marked to the 'altstadt' (old town). The room we had reminded me a little of those budget hotel you find all over France. They maximize the space but you have everything you need. The bed was very comfortable (very important) and the ro... Read more

You don't want to live in there at least not if you were only a bit claustrophobic. For just sleeping especially after a night cup it is ideal - clean, quiet, sufficient elevators, very friendly and supportive staff, The design reminds of some french cars - many clever little ideas around you. Outside parking is hardly an option, so make sure you get space in the underground parking. Best of all: Really good value for money!

Ibis Hauptbahnhof is situated near the old Inner city of Aachen, and a very good starting point for visiting the Christmas Market. The Townhall and the Chapel of Charlemagne with their beautifull lights were a wonderfull background.

Well positioned, 10 min. walk from centre and Christmas markets. Has private car park, but get their early to get place. Staff friendly and speak English. Second stay here, first time had very big room but this time just average size. Clean rooms. Good value for money.

Stayed here for two nights while in Aachen for the weekend. The hotel is conveniently located at a short only a short walk from the central station. Hotel rooms are the size of the Ibis hotels in Paris, so be prepared for a tiny bathroom. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the 24 hour bar is a definite plus. Would recommend it for an affordable weekend in Aachen!

Our room was tiny and the bathroom minuscule. I honestly don't know how a fat person would manage. As you'd expect from an Ibis the place is clean and well managed although one or two staff members didn't look too happy. No law against that. The hotel is very easy to find being only a short walk from the station. Be careful though as there are two Ibis hotels in this vicinity.

As so often with big hotel chains, words like ‚??Centre‚?? or ‚??XX station‚?? do not necessarily mean the hotel in very close to the item mentioned: at Aachen Main Station (‚??Hauptbahnhof‚??) there was a signpost to this hotel, but I had to use my mobile phone map in order not to get lost: a good ten minutes‚?? walk. Checking in was swift and efficient. My room (409) was clean and well equipped but rather cramped. It looked onto a main street, which was sometimes fairly noisy. There was air-... Read more

Room is small, but very clean and calm. The staff was friendly. perfect location near train station and city center... around 15 mins walk to attractions. Many restaurants nearby. I'd like come again if I visit Aachen again. Food at the Hotel's restaurant was decent.

The Ibis Hauptbahnhof in Aachen is a safe, if dated budget choice. The room was spacious, if bare, and clean. The towels really left something to be desired, however. The hotel is an easy walk to the Dom and just down the street from a new mall.

Only stayed one night while making our way to Calais. The room was small and the ensuite very small, but for one night, adequate. Clean of course, with sky tv.but, no tea/coffee facilities in room, a bar, also breakfast at ‚?¨11 we thought that expensive and didn't bother. The young receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We parked our bike just outside entrance, free of charge. Aachen center was 5 mins away walking.
