You would expect only bees knees for a Waldorf Astoria. This doesn't disappoint. Well appointed rooms with the most comfortable beds. When you travel so much, a good sleep is just what you aspire for. The room is quiet and block the light in. Location is not bad. Just found it a bit odd when the lady I was speaking with regarding opening hours for some shopping (it was Easter/bank holiday weekend so everything closes except museums) started raising her voice with someone from reception when as... I spent two nights in this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. I cannot fault it. The room we had (a standard room on the 11th floor with a city view) was spacious and the bathroom was luxurious. There was an enormous choice for breakfast and the food was excellent. The staff were helpful and attentive. The spa area was clean and bright with a decent sized pool. I thought that the hotel was competitively priced and very worthy of its five stars.

As someone who primarily uses Hilton family hotels, I decided to give the Waldorf Astoria Berlin a try, as it was the same price as the Hilton when I booked. I was amazed at the level of service and how easy the staff made everything. It all starts from when you first show up at the curb until you leave. The hotel itself is very beautiful and modern with a classic feel. I was fortunate enough to have a room with a view of the Tiergarten and the rest of the city beyond it, even a friend who lives... I have stayed in many places over the past several years. This by far is one of the best places I have ever stayed. The staff was amazing, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and the rooms are heavenly. We took advantage of the spa. I had a spa treatment with a gentleman who was amazing! If you can I strongly suggest that you take advantage of this if you can. This is a great place to stay. very easy to get around the city from its location. We could not have picked a better place. The hotel not only lived up to my expectations but pleasantly exceeded them. The room was amazingly comfortable, clean and fresh. The Internet was very fast, the heated tile in the bathroom were welcomed, and the view of Berlin was very nice. All my encounters with hotel staff were excellent, they know how to treat their guests. Wow, what a fantastic stay! The Waldorf Astoria Berlin became one of our instant favorites during a weekend stay last month. The main driver of that perspective was the amazing staff, with Mrs Cheung as the lead concierge team member helping us. We were celebrating a special occasion and it was our first time in Berlin, so the planning started early. She expertly helped us to make dinner and brunch reservations at restaurants that were perfectly suited to our tastes, ensured that our request f... Read more

The hotel is beautiful. I had an upgrade on the 15th floor, immaculately clean and nicely decorated. Good view of city from my window. The bathroom was great, spacious and super well maintained. Bed and pillows good, slept very well. The staff all friendly, a bit over the top polite as I often find to be the case with the WA chain of the Hilton imperium, but good eye contact and very efficient. I didn't have time for breakfast due to a meeting on the other side of town, but if dinner is anythin... Read more

I brought my wife here for a long weekend and the hotel upgraded me (I've been Hilton Gold or Diamond for many years) to a suite whose bathroom was larger than many New York City apartments and whose bedroom / living area was just enormous. A King size bed, at least two separate sitting areas, a table, a desk, and a dressing room. The decor was elegant and interesting. Great room, great location, reasonable price. All is well, except that there was an issue with the bellman not helping to unload a car with a baby and a stroller. He opened a door and left leaving a single woman to deal with unfolding the stroller, collecting things, and the baby. There were also a couple of minor housekeeping issues during the stay. We complained to the manager and he apologized and said that there would be something brought to the room, but it never was. We mentioned it upon t... Read more

Our first room was 1304, which is a "view" room. It is, unfortunately, adjacent to the elevators and I could hear a whisking noise. It sounds almost like birds outside the room. The major problem with 1304 is there is some sort of control unit in the ceiling near the door and every so often it starts clicking about 1/sec for 10-15 minutes, kind of like a turn signal. I had to move rooms. The 2nd room I was in was great and very enjoyable. Nothing wrong with it. The location is great. Rig... Read more

How to be unique compared to other 5 star hotels? It is all about the staff and the service they offer you. This already starts before you arrive with inquiring if there are any services they can assist you with. It is the way in which they are pro-active which differentiates them. Everyone is very kind and you immediately feel at home. The people at the door always have a little chat with you while they assist you with getting a cab. I spent a week at this hotel, had been here shortly after it opened 2 years back, the hotel and staff were great. I had to wait a few hours for my room to be ready but it was worth it as the JR Suites are great. The only thing I don't like about this hotel is the elevator keys as I have to always find my room key ahead of time. The place is one of the best Waldorf's I have stayed at.

I have been here before, and chances are that I´d come again. It´s a great facility located in the centre of Berlin. You can pretty much find anything you need in it´s neighbourhood. Comfortable rooms, nice bed, very neat and hospital staff. I think the gym need more equipment though. This hotel claims to have room service. But after trying for two and a half hours starting at 7:30 in a Monday evening, I gave up. No answer at the room service number and the front desk simply said room service was very busy and they would watch the line and connect me as soon as it was free. It never happened even though I tried both room service snd the front desk multiple times.

In addition it is right next of the high end shopping street. Check-in was smooth and we were given a room on the eighth floor. It was a generous sized room with a lot of lights.
