The Doubletree at Hyde Park (on Bayswater Rd.) met all our requirements of good value for the cost, convenience and cleanliness. It exceeded our expectations for the quality and generosity of breakfast and the comfort of the room. We were very well treated by a friendly and helpful staff, and offered delicious warm cookies every time we came and went during a 4-night stay in London at the end of a cruise. This hotel is a wonderful place to stay, offering easy access to all the touristic things o... Read more

Friendly staff, clean property, amazing soundproofing. Great location. A very comfortable bed. Air conditioning that worked well as we had some hot days and AC in the UK can be dodgy. Overall a very pleasant experience.

We can't say enough good about this hotel! The location was great, just across the street from Kensington Gardens and very near Hyde Park; just a few blocks to underground stops, shopping, bank ATM's, etc; the hotel is clean and modern, and the staff was as helpful as anyone could expect. Plenty of light in the bedroom, which is not the case in many hotels. Another surprise was a king size bed, hard to find in the UK. We ate a couple of meals in the restaurant and they were very good, with... Read more

My 3rd stay in this hotel, always hassle free and pleasant. Comfortable rooms, efficient and courteous staff, good location and nearby transport. Only downside was slightly noisy neighbours showed up a lack of soundproofing in the room - although that is the first time in 3 stays.

Just returned home after 7 nights in this hotel. We had two different rooms - one was a regular King (523) that faced a side street, and the other a deluxe King that faced Kensington Palace (703). Both rooms were about the same size with very similar amenities, but the view from 703 was fabulous. We had concerns about road noise, but there are double windows so heard practically nothing. The bed was comfortable, there was a nice coffee and tea setup, powerful blow dryer and iron. The fridge wa... Read more

I chose this hotel for the Hilton brand (we are Hilton honors), the price and location. We were only staying one night. Hotel was updated, clean, had very good wifi and was directly across from Kensington gardens. We got an excellent price. Concierge was helpful booking us transport to heathrow, which was cheaper than cab by £30. We thought the breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend for anyone not requiring a 5-star experience.

This hotel is well located opposite Kensington Gardens and a short walk to both Notting Hill and Bayswater. I stayed here last night with my mother following a gig at Hyde Park. It about a 30 minute walk to any BST gig happening there and I would say a good way to escape the crowds afterwards. I am a gold card member and we were allowed to check in a little early around 2pm and received a complimentary breakfast. The Doubletree Cookie was a warm and lovely as ever too. Compared to a US DoubleTree, the rooms are smaller than you get in the US, but they are equally nicely appointed. The hotel is in a great part of London near Notting Hill, just 2 blocks from the Bayswater Central Line station, and within 5 minutes walk of numerous other Tube lines.

My partner and I stayed here for one night as we went to see a show. It is close to Queensgate Tube Station which has brilliant access to Central London and the West End. We had a room on the ground floor facing the road, while the road itself is quiet you can hear the people outside when they walk past but since we are both heavy sleeps this didn't bother us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The warm cookie on arrival was very tasty.

You're greeted by a warm cookie as is tradition with all Doubletree so it's a sweet start. Rooms are impeccable, comfy beds, Nespresso machine offers an extra touch which goes down well with the cookie as are the rest of amenities. If you've got an iPhone the alarm clock doubles as a charger and speaker too. Breakfast was good but would have preferred a better selection of fruits and yoghurt. The tube is about 500 m away whilst if your interested in catching a bus the stops are just a few meter... Read more

Great stay, friendly staff, breakfast buffet was very good, hot food station was good, had a good selection of pastries and juices, at night time service at the cafe wasn't good, waited too long for drink and took a long time to place an order for food, noone practically was there, because they seemed understaffed, one unpleasant thing was cleanness of the bathroom by the lobby ( in the evening) seems like noone checked it in a long time. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is easy to get to from Heathrow on the underground, although you need to be careful that you don't miss it, as the hotel entrance is not actually on Bayswater Rd but down the side street. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, with good bed and bathroom. Mini fridge and coffee making facilities were provided. Good wireless coverage, and they also printed my emails as no charge.

Was greeted by very friendly staff when checking in, and we were provided with thouse famous warm Doubletree-cookies. Our room was located on the first floor, which meant we would take the elevator to the mezzanine-floor, from where our hallway was a few steps down. Public spaces such as hallways and fitness centre were all very bright and fresh. The room itself was very fresh and comfortably furnished. I'm not sure what the best rates for this hotel are but I paid £170 for one Friday night. At this rate I'd say that this hotel was as good as expected, which is pretty good but not exceptional for the money. The room was a good size, clean, well maintained and tasteful as was the bathroom. All the standard facilities were in the room and again good. Stayed here for a week it was a good hotel and in a great location for Hyde/Kensington Gardens (both being across the road) and a half hour walk to Oxford Street or a 2 minute tube ride. The station is 100 metres from the hotel so you can access all parts of London easily. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.
