We wanted to get away to a peaceful, relaxing, warm location to celebrate our 25th anniversary without the kids. Moorea was the perfect location and the HIlton was the perfect resort. HIlton's attention to detail, attentive staff, and consistent quality blended perfectly with the idyllic South Pacific island background. Tours were easily arranged through the concierge directly, or the staff was happy to make the arrangements directly with the tour companies. All the staff and islanders in ge... Read more

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. We also stayed at the InterContinental Mo'orea. The InterContinental did have more activities, but in our opinion the Hilton was better in every other regard. We stayed in an overwater bungalow which was either brand new or recently renovated. It was really beautiful and had a substantial glass-bottom portion, which allowed us to see any fish, etc. swimming below. The staff were really good and the food was great. When this hotel bills itself as number 1 in hospitality, they only mean in the lobby or gift shops. The same does not apply to the restaurant staff. I ordered the exact same breakfast 3 days in a row yet it was different each time .....and not in a good way. Food was either over cooked or undercooked. Nothing was consistent, ever. The restaurant staff seemed a bit put out to have to wait on guests and even more so about cleaning tables. Kinda gross. This is a nice place in a great location but i... Read more

The Hilton Moorea is an excellent resort. Great rooms, excellent service and friendly staff. We stayed for a week following a cruise and the hotel could not have treated us any better. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and the hotel management was able to accommodate our specific room request (thank you Karen), greeted us with a nice bottle of wine and gave us a wonderful table at their Friday Polynesian Show. My husband and I were there for 4 nights in May 2016. We decided to stay in a garden bungalow close to the beach, since we were traveling on to Bora Bora and would stay in an OWB there. Our garden bungalow was perfect. There was plenty of room and it had a private plunge pool on the deck. We found the staff to be very friendly and attentive. We did have an issue with our AC, but they sent someone over to fix it right away. Breakfasts were good. Our favorite for dinner was the Toatea Crepe Bar. W... Read more

I have nothing but great things to say about the Hilton Moorea. We spent two nights and 2.5 days here to start off our honeymoon. It was a fantastic resort, and we loved the location. Even though only a 5min flight or 30min ferry from the busy Island of Tahiti given its location you really feel like you are in an isolated tropical paradise. We stayed in a Beach Bungalow, which IMO, is a GREAT value, they are just as well placed as the OWB, and are fantastic inside. The water is shallow and cryst... Read more

Find Dinah at the concierge as she know all things Moorea. The negatives: 1. Watered down Mai Tai's with next to no alcohol in them. AVOID dining or drinking on premises. Also pricey drinks and meals, with surcharges when you get the final hotel bill. 2. Broken down Jacuzzi, i.e. no hut tub, inexcusable for what one is paying. The positives: 1. Nice staff; 2. Clean bungalows; 3. Pretty setting, though it is located on a point so gets more wind-swept than does the Hotel Sofitel; 4. Nice parking and internet included in the price.

Visited the Hilton for its nearby beach and hotel bar. Good happy hour--excellent mojitos. I did not stay overnight, so I can't comment on the rooms, but they are built on stilts over the lagoon (coral reef) so the 360-degree views must be amazing. 800 U.S. per night is a little steep though. Bring your snorkel and fins--you can go right out to the surrounding reefs and float around. The resort also rents sea kayaks. I highly recommend the weekly whale talk with Dr. Michael Poole.

The location and services of hotel are great, but the food is a joke. 1st dinner was a disaster considering the price charged 2 dinner was buffet and we spent most of our time waiting in front of empty buffet stands. I am a regular customer of Moorea hotels and usually bool at the Sofitel. Both Hilton and Sofitel offer great amenities but Sofitel is way above for the same level of price, because of the following: - Hilton beach is too small and does not offer enough lounge chairs on the beach. This is a review of the spa only. I had a Moorea Lagoon Signature Massage with Genevieve. My only regret was that I had only reserved a 50 minute massage. I've had massages at spas all over the world and this was one of the (if not the) best! I requested firm pressure as I like deep massages, and it was the perfect mix of firm and effective but not painful. I only wish I would've booked the 120 minutes or even 80 minutes. We stayed one week at the Hilton Moorea in May. The weather was absolutely perfect and the resort was truly beautiful. We started by flying in to Papeete and were planning to take a small plane to Moorea. However, we checked in to the airline a week in advance and found out the flight could be cancelled, not just delayed. We investigated further and found there was a ferry that left every couple hours and was only about $20 each way. We took the ferry which was only a 35 minute trip and t... Read more

The good: snorkeling off your bungalow, the Crepe Bar, the guy who helps with the paddle boards, kayaks, etc. Happy hour at the bar. The bad: poor service, INSTANT coffee and powered cream in the room - lazy wait staff for the breakfast buffet. At that point, we had been traveling for 30 hours and were exhausted. Instead of just sitting around waiting, we rented a car and took off exploring the island. When we returned..... our room was ready and exploding with romantic honeymoon treats. My husband had worked with the resort for weeks to plan a lavish surprise for hi... Read more

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Hilton Moorea! We stayed in a garden bungalow with a plunge pool and really enjoyed our large and beautifully decorated room. The bathroom was stunning and the one issue we did have (clogged shower) was quickly fixed by the staff. The beach is fairly small but beautiful and never a shortage of beach chairs or umbrellas. They have an activity stand by the pool where you can borrow snorkel gear, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and towels for the day. There w... Read more

Amazing place, I could go on and on but just read the other reviews! Beautiful and yet nicely relaxed atmosphere, we couldn't ask for more. Stayed in an overwater bungalow, one of the cheaper ones nearer shore, woke to see spotted eagle ray right outside the first morning! Felt very lucky. We were very happy with our bungalow and actually preferred its location to the pricier end of the pontoon rooms. Longer walks and we preferred our view to the end rooms. Thank you Hilton Moorea!!!

We stayed in an overwater bungalow for 8 nights during October. It was worth every penny! I would recommend paying the wee bit extra to get an overwater bungalow. Easy access to the lagoon, beautiful views and private balcony. We only spent half of a day at the pool because our bungalow deck made for a great tanning spot as well as a providing access to go snorkelling. Although the pool area and main beach is still very nice. The bungalows are clean, stylish and very comfortable. I also reco... Read more

We stayed at the Hilton Moorea in September for our 17th year Anniversary. We arrived at the Hilton and our room was not ready but they offered a changing room to refresh for 30 minutes while we were waiting for our room. We were on a budget on this vacation and the French Polynesia is a trip that can break the bank account. We stayed in a pool room for 2 nights and we loved it. It feels more private than the over water bungalows. I am glad I booked the opportunity to stay in both rooms. We had... Read more

The resort is quite nice however the rudeness of the staff throughout our stay surprised me a lot. I complained with Hilton after our stay and they compensated us for the trouble experienced there , which demonstrates a good customer service, but in the first place I would have preferred to spend a wonderful stay without such issues. Something that really annoyed me were the housekeepers screaming one to another at 100m distance at 8 o'clock in the morning!!! 5 days like that! Imagine how good w... Read more

It's been my dream to visit French Polynesia. I'm so glad we chose to stay at Hilton for our time in Moorea. We got there very early and since our room was not ready, we were happy to explore the island while our room was being prepared. Jiaming was so warm and welcoming. Hilton Moorea was fantastic for the most part. The best part of the hotel was the amazing snorkeling right off our OWB. The snorkeling was the highlight of our trip, as the sea life just steps from our room was vast and plentiful. Like the previous reviewer not really convinced about this one. We went to Bora Bora first and this is a mistake if you intend visiting the Hilton in Moorea, afterwards. I think if you intend to stay here it would need to be your first stop and you may enjoy it more. We personally did not find the color of the water or the resort any where near as appealing. Staying here for a week for our honeymoon. At the start the resort was not so busy, and service was great. Now at the end, it's bit busier and you are lucky if you can get served a drink. I've seen other reviews blame the number of staff, it's only half the problem, the other half is the staff never shift up gears. They slowly walk around like they're serving four people, when they're serving forty. They're also clearly aren't trained in how to juggle tables when it's busy. Bad stuff out of the... Read more

I included several pictures from the grounds in my screensaver - it's that nice! Paddleboarding was great from the beach - just be aware of the currents - it may be much more paddling to get back than to get out. But you can see a lot from just paddling out and away from the hotel beach. It's a great location. We were not super impressed with the service for dinner, but everything else made up for that.
