Location

When you first see the island of Bora Bora, with a lagoon comparable to an artist`s palette of blues and greens, it is love at first sight. Dreamers from around the world have laid claim to this island where the citadel-like Mount Otemanu breaks through the sky. Lush tropical banks and valleys bloom with hibiscus, while palm-covered motu circle the dazzling lagoon like a fragile necklace. Perfect white-sand beaches give way to emerald waters where tropical fish animate the coral gardens as they greet the giant manta rays. This could  easily be construed as the heart of the romantic universe, where leisurely resorts and spas dot the island with overwater bungalows, thatched roof villas, and mythical ambience.

We stayed in an overwater bungalow - room 335 with the full mountain view. It was an excellent choice. We were there in low season which was actually quite nice with the hotel being about 50% full. The resort, staff and food were outstanding. I am quite a particular traveller and i have to say it was difficult to fault in every respect. Le Meridien employ "local people" which i think is a huge positive to international staff who are told what to say and do - you really get a local friendly face ... Read more

This review covers our stay at Le Meridien, Bora Bora in the overwater bungalows (OWB). My wife and I stayed at Le Meridien in January 2017 for three nights. As this segment of our overall five month trip was our ??luxury?? component (to celebrate our recent marriage), we opted to splurge and stay in one of the dreamy OWB that are so romanticized about. Our goal for these three days was. to. relax. We were greeted at the Bora Bora airport at the Le Meridien stand, where we were presented w... Read more

My daughter and I were fortunate enough to stay at the Le Meridian Bora Bora for 2 days prior to the start of a cruise. The location is the best of all the resorts. The lagoon is spectacular. The water is warm and calm. You can see the bottom as you are walking out in the water. They have snorkel equipment and paddle boards, jetski's and other water toys. Plenty of beach chairs in the sun and shaded ones too. There are pools with an ocean view if you prefer to spend the day there. We... Read more

Our overwater bungalow was beautiful and air conditioned. The bed and pillows were super comfy! The food was delicious especially the breakfasts. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The paddleboards, windsurfing equipment were easily accessible and we used those several times a day. My kids (ages 7 & 12) loved it, esp the giant chess board. The excursions that the concierge helped us plan were great. The only thing we would've skipped was the "trip" they arranged for us to go the the P... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon. From the minute you land, you feel special and taken care of. The hotel grounds are beautifu and the rooms are comfortable. We laid at the edge of our bed each morning and watched the sting rays and sea turtles swim below our bungalow. Speaking of turtles, The Turtle Sanctuary was a great place to spend a few minutes a day watching the turtles and admiring all that French Polynesia has to offer. Food options are varied and delicious.

We spent 8 nights at this resort for our honeymoon and were in awe of the place - everything was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in one of the huts and it was the perfect amount of space for a couple. The beach and activities were great - we went paddle boarding, snorkelling and kayaking everyday as all those equipments were included. The food was very good and we were pleasantly surprised with everything we ate - such great flavours. The only thing is that we thought were were more than 2 res... Read more

Gorgeous resort and was suppose to be our dream vacation. However both my nephews have celiac disease and the restaurant falsely advertised that menu items were gluten free. The food we specifically ordered was not gluten free. My nephews had stomach pain due or eating gluten and the fact they ate gluten creates permanent damage to their intestines. After the 3rd day of eating this misrepresented gluten free food, my sister in law asked for all the ingredients and there was gluten. She told them... Read more

Booked this hotel with Noy. S from Tahiti Legends for our honeymoon trip. We spent 5 nights here and the hotel is absolutely stunning. We went right after Christmas so it was not crowded. The overwater bungalows are everything! There are beautiful beaches, clear blue water and wonderful views of the mountain on the main island. There were lots of colorful fish swimming around in the lagoon. We also liked the Turtle Center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn't like mu... Read more

(12/17/16-12/23/16) You have read how beautiful Bora Bora is. So I will focus on Le Meridian, the staff, and the amenities. Let's start with the staff which will make or break a vacation. This staff is so friendly and helpful for anything you ask. Ms. Cecile Le Marrec, Assistant to the GM, was assisting me even before we arrived. She was very expedient on my email requests and answered every question I had. She made sure that my stay would be memorable for life. When we arrived after a very lo... Read more

We loved out overwater Bungalow. There were lots of fish everywhere to watch and the water is gorgeous. The staff is friendly and our room was always super tidy and clean. My ONLY complaint is I never felt like our room got cold enough for my liking. The breakfast buffet was delicious with TONS of choices! We went to the BBQ at the beach restaurant one night and that was GREAT too!
