The location of the hotel is quite good (opposite to the train station). You can walk to center of Strasbourg on foot. We arrived at 14.00, but the room was not ready. Fortunately, we could leave the baggage in the hotel! The room was tiny and extremely hot. The wifi was not so free! The internet connection lasts 8 hours and then you must reconnect. Poor sound proofing, too.

Best thing about the hotel is that it is situated near to train station and easily walkable from most of the places in the city. Since our motive was to explore the city, the hotel was a good choice with not many amenities. Though we had to wait for half an hour for room to get ready when we reached, we left the luggage and had lunch at a nearby Arabic restaurant. Room was clean, queen sized bed with good pillows and had enough space in room to keep our luggage. Windows open to a view of the cit... Read more

Prices in Strasbourg vary enormously so if you're just a normal tourist and not here for the European Parliament, make sure you avoid the European Parliament sessions days. The quality of the rooms of Le Grand also seems to vary judging from the photos of TA. Mine was pretty small but the bathroom was good. Hotel clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was included in my price and so was wifi. Breakfast was ok for being a French continental breakfast. + Friendly and helpful staff at reception des... Read more

MINUS: the room actually looks worse than in the photos, and it remembers ages and looks a bit beaten... while booking a deluxe room, was definitely hoping for more that a spartan experience... breakfast was so so... i would look elsewhere next time... PLUS: i like the friendly and assistive staff at the reception desk though...

As soon as you enter this hotel, just like so many others in France, you regret not being rich enough to reach for Hilton. Shabby sums up the general feel about this place. The walls are stained, the bathrooms clearly remember 1980s and the airconditioning makes so much awkward noise that sleeping with wooly socks and hats on seems like a better plan over no sleep at all crowned with being driven mad. Breakfast is basic, very basic. The personnel, on the other hand, was extremely smiley, polite ... Read more
