Very nice clean and comfy hotel, easy to find via the main rail and metro stations. Staff were very friendly and made our stay most pleasant. Lovely full breakfast each morning again with very attentive staff. Perfect location for all the main attractions. We will surely be back. Keep up the good work.

This hotel in not in the centrer of Paris. It is on the outskirts in the area called La Defense, which at first glance may seem business oriented in a modern skyscraper, architectual area. It is located near the Grande Arch. The hotel is within walking distance to the Esplanade La Grand Arche and metro stations, restaurants, stores (large and small), bars and cafes. There is a small amusement area for children also within walking distance. I found it to be perfect for someone who has been t... Read more

The hotel is located in a part of la defense where there is no access to cars. It was impossible to find with the taxi driver and you cannot be dropped back at the hotel if you go out and return on a taxi. So your only option is to alwaya walk and take the metro. The area is VERY lonely, dark and dirty at night. I was always scared coming back at night on the metro. The hotel should provide their guest with information about the hotel being unreachable by taxi before hand. The hotel itself is ... Read more

As a Marriot Gold member, they offered me little. Club room totally closed on weekends. I was invited to the brunch in the dining room. Average selections, and crowded. Ran out of plates, coffee, and only two people staffed a full room. La Defense is a business Park, and the Renaissance is on the wrong side of the arch. All the office building around the property appear empty, and the gardens filled with weeds. I would not venture out alone at night. La Defense was created to keep the sky... Read more

It's been a few years since I stayed in Paris and decided to go back to my old favorite place that's close enough to downtown via Metro but far enough away to avoid the crazy prices, crazy traffic and crazy people. Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel is very well maintained. Had a spacious corner room that was spotless with a full sized sofa and chair - really spacious for Paris and under 250EU. Bed was very comfortable and bath had a tub if needed. Executive lounge is very ni... Read more

I stayed in this hotel for few nights and did not like it at all! The rooms are renewed but the lobby is old to a point I did not invite people for meetings in the hotel. The restaurant prices are very expensive. I would not come back since the overall experience was not good. I have to be frank , the staff in the reception were very nice and was the only reason I did not cancel my stay. Wi-Fi service was not so good but was free.

Check-in was excellent, less than 5 minutes, staff were professional helpful and the environment are cleaned and there are lots of work improvement going on in the hotel. Staff are very helpful, professional friendly and also ready to go extra mile to help if you discussed your problem or concerns regarding the hotel or you just need help in other issues. Lots of food for breakfast for the buffet to choose from and when not on the menu, you can order. Please note no bakebeans at all on breakf... Read more

Unfortunately, not up to international standard and certainly does not merit more than three stars. The hotel is in the middle of a building site, which can be noisy, dusty and unpleasant. Staff try hard, but there are too many small things that do not work. It is almost impossible to find glasses or plates during breakfast. when they do turn up, they are not clean. Food is seriously overpriced and there are many good restaurants nearby offering far better value. Rooms are a good size and very c... Read more

Have been staying at the hotel three to four nights a week for most of the past two years. Hotel is under going a major renovation. Staff is excellent, very friendly and always willing to try to help you if there is a problem or you have a question. If you are working in or around La Defense or have other reasons to want to stay west of the centre of the Paris this is an good choice. Staying for three weeks for business. The service is on par or better than what should be expected from Renaissance. I had to move three times when I first got here and they helped make that happen extremely quickly. One move was due to Ac issues, second related to tv...I don't mind moving around as long as at the end of the day tv and Ac work and then was given a bigger room (and for 3 weeks that is very welcome)! AC is somewhat weak for what Americans are used to but it is better than most i... Read more

Good for business, quiet hotel located in the business district. Lots of plug sockets and charging points in the room. Efficient staff. If you are not here on business, I wouldn't recommend the location as there's not much open after office hours. It's only a few metro stops to more lively areas, however.

Stayed here as part of a travelling group. The hotel is well appointed but its location in the business district of Paris isn't really suited if you want to see the sites. There is a metro station nearby but nothing else... and walking is not an option.

The hotel is great, nice rooms and bathrooms with plenty of power points and USB charging points, the only downside was the location. Mainly as it wasn't right in the 'thick' of Paris, but in the more business district area. There is a large shopping mall a few minutes away which has plenty of eating options, but not much in the hotel itself. It's also right next to a metro station, so quick and easy access to most of the tourist sites in Paris.

Located in the center of Paris' business district -La Defense, this is a great location for those on a business trip with offices in the area. It is about an hour away from Charles de Gaulle Paris airport (without traffic). The Hotel is nicely decorated, in the usual Marriott style. The rooms are very well equipped. I particularly liked the USB ports which allowed to charge phone and iPad. One tip I have is for you to check whether breakfast is included in the room price as this costs 27 ... Read more

The service is outstanding when you first arrive at hotel you are always welcomed by Reception Staff and each and everyone of them speak to you, they are very professional and go out of their way to ensure you have all the information you need. Great position if you have business in La Defense. Rooms are ok (large for Paris) but the hotel was under reconstruction so I can't used the parking (but there was another one just one level down) and there where no restaurant open (but room service). Let me start with the good part: 1] Excellent location if your are on business and need to be in the La Defense neighborhood. 2] Very good and diverse breakfast in a spacious and clean room with ample space and great service. Even during morning rush hour 3] Our room, club level on the 9th floor was large even by USA standards. 4] The customer service person working the lounge in the afternoon/evening. Horrible hotel. Fine location for working in La Defense but as mentioned by many other reviewers it is under construction and extremely difficult to find. The exterior roadside signs are covered with overgrowth, so almost impossible to find; the a/c in the rooms barely works; the beds are rock hard and the food in the lounge is gross and covered in flies.

Booked this hotel through Expedia for a business trip and conveniently, no mention of the hotel going through renovation, with facilities not available as a result (like no restaurant). Then between Expedia and the hotel, they managed to screw up details of what was included. Stayed here over July 4th long weekend on great rate. Was visiting for leisure, not business, so the location was way less than ideal.
