You can walk anywhere along the Seine River in 15 minutes. All the shops and restaurants of Vendome are right outside your door. Very secure street ( men with machine guns at each end) due to USA embassy. Concierge will help you with restaurant reservations, cabs, tickets etc. Be sure to ask for a room upgrade....their occupancy is down 30% due to the recent terrorism activity.

We had a two-room suite ("Prestige" in their lingo). Spacious, comfortable, nice furniture, attractive decor, and an espresso maker. Amazingly, there was only one drawer and no dressers. Fortunately we had not packed many clothes. Service was outstanding - called for more espresso pods, and they showed up in just a few minutes. Because the hotel is very close to the British and American embassies there are armed police at each end of the street - presumably more secure, but a minor delay fo... Read more

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg last August. Although there had been a clerical error with our booking, and the hotel was full, the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us with a stay for a single night at the Scribe. We were welcomed back to the Faubourg the following day with an upgraded suite and champagne. The room was stunning and the amenities top notch. What a beautiful hotel. The staff can not do enough for you, the rooms are impeccable, breakfast is amazing and the restaurant in the hotel I can find no fault. This hotel really knows how to get it right!!!! It's right next-door to the US Embassy so don't be alarmed by the guards at each end of the street. I would stay here again and again and again!

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights at the beginning of a 4 week trip in Europe. I ave been to Paris a few times, but this is the first stay at Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg. Everything from the welcome to the morning breakfasts was done so well. The staff have a constant smile and are extremely helpful. Rooms are typically compact in Paris, our suite was well laid out and very tastefully decorated. A great location for all the Paris experiences.

This is our second time staying 5 days at the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg with our family. The service is excellent, the hotel breakfast is perfect and the location is amazing. It's a short walk to just about anywhere worth going. The location pushes the hotel from 4.5 to 5 stars. Even though we have a suite, the rooms are a little small, but the hotel is great and family friendly overall. It was my first time in Paris. This hotel is shoppers paradise! The big designer stores surround the neighborhood. It is also on a private street, which makes it nice and quiet at night. Room decor is straight out of a dream. The bed was so comfy! Staff was happy to help and friendly. Gym was on the smaller side. Did not have a chance to eat at the hotel, but they have Nespresso machines in the room! Would love to go back!

The location is away from the hustle and bustle, but perfect if you'd like to stroll around Parisian streets and not too far from the river. I stayed with my family at this lovely hotel, we enjoyed our time very much, the location is superb very close to the champs elysee and lots of brand shops around. Very quiet and safe Neighbour hood. The room was a bit small, but very clean and had everything we needed, the obly thing that bothered me was that the project espresso machine didnt work. Breakfast was small but ok. I recommend it alot especially for couples.

Hotel is beautiful, Paris is exceptionally safe at the moment with police and military everywhere, even in front of the hotel. We received a generous upgrade to our rooming arrival. The room was amazing and spacious for Paris. The hotel is well located and stunningly decorated. Beds are superbly comfortable. It's not your cheapest option, but it is not the dearest in Paris either and on balance I think offers great value. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful.

Paris is expensive. If you stay here the manager will try to sell you all kinds of side trips and airport shuttle in advance. Everything has to be bought before check in or it will not be offered again. We did not buy any of his offers. We found our own way around Paris and it was great. The hotel is older and cheaper. You get what you pay for.

I stayed here for four nights in July and loved it. I was offered an upgrade for a very reasonable price when I arrived and took it. My room was on the 5th floor with a courtyard view. It felt like a small apartment and I could open the windows. The hotel is within walking distance to many of Paris's top attractions and shopping, but on a relatively quiet and very secure street. The Concierge was really top notch. I had dinner one night at the restaurant next to the hotel, Bistrot Francois... Read more

We stayed here for eight nights during Fashion Week on our first trip to Paris. The hotel is located on a very quiet street near the embassies with armed police guards on both ends of the block. Our taxis and private driver were required to call ahead so the hotel could confirm our stay and permission to access the block. We found tis to be a big plus and helped ensure the safety and quiet appeal of the hotel. The hotel was bustling with very well-dressed international guests. I've not seen... Read more

We hear loud noise from the Bar just outside of this hotel, We did not sleep aid night. Since I told hotel staff about noise, they did nothing about it because the noise was not their business. I told hotel manager next morning, he said they have this problem for long time. I really suggest that do not stay this hotel if you want to sleep.

We picked this hotel for its location in Paris and we like Sofitel Hotels. We had no idea that it was next to the American Embassy and would benefit from its security. French military with machine guns had the street blocked off. The bellman said I could sleep with my door open. The hotel was great in its own right and was very beautiful and quiet. We will always stay at this hotel when in Paris.

One of the top two hotels I've had the opportunity to stay in. Exceptional customer experienced from check in, concierge, and restaurant staff. Don't speak much French and the staff was extremely accommodating, friendly and speak great English. Location is fantastic walking distance to all major sites like the Louvres, Notre Dame, Paris Opera/department stores. The breakfast and food/wine served in the bar is to notch. Next time I'm in Paris I will be staying here again.

I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice hotel in a great location, blocks from Place de Concorde and accessible to the best shopping in Paris. I stayed in a duplex, the room was comfortable and felt like a Parisian apartment. I enjoyed the bar for lunch on several days. The food was excellent but the menu lacked many vegetarian options however the kitchen was quick to accommodate me when i asked. I recommend to those traveling to Paris and looking for a great value and good location... Read more

My husband and I just spent two days here and are very pleased with the experience. The location is amazing, simply can't be beat in Paris - everything is at your doorstep. I loved going running in the nearby Tuileries Gardens. We were upgraded to Le Faubourg suite, which faced the courtyard and was very quiet. The suite itself was large and had a very comfortable bed (I can't say enough good things about Sofitel's beds!). Loved having a nesspresso machine in the room, and a pot to heat wate... Read more

Very classy and luxurious befitting of its surroundings being the heart of the luxe shopping area. Decor, service etc are all 5 star and assures you that you are indeed in Paris. As we approached the street on which the hotel is located, there was heavy security stopping to inspect every car. Our driver assured us that this is the safest hotel in Paris because of its proximity to the US Embassy! The only downside I would say is that a lot of shops in the immediate vicinity close early so you d... Read more

We stayed at this hotel during our stay in Paris and there is absolutely nothing not perfect when it comes to the rooms and the location (and food!). The service was a bit "meh" considering the price we were paying but I guess this is the case in a lot of places in Paris. The comfort and the quality of the rooms represent a true luxury with the french savior faire. As other reviewers mentioned, the location is just perfect!

Loved the hotel Kids enjoyed playing chess in lobby Really helpful when our phone was stolen on Champsélysées. They spoke to police etc on our behalf. Breakfast was excellent, Steffane and Roseline made us feel like family. Location excellent. Room decent size by European standards. Bed amazingly comfortable. Nice little balcony. Stunning Hermes soaps used in bathroom.

Second trip to this hotel for a vacation -- overall just amazing. The hotel upgraded our suite to an Opera suite - great room/amenities. However, we didn't realize when accepting the upgrade that it faced the courtyard. We prefered the smaller collection suite since it has a balcony and faces the street in front - they were able to move us to that suite the next day - took care of everything while we were out. suite was great from bedroom to salon to bathroom. we also are pretty heavy users of t... Good hotel in stunning location in Paris but unfortunately the Buddha Bar is across the road and it was VERY noisy during the nights. My room was on the street side and I couldn't sleep due to the noise and screaming that came from the street. It is a pity because otherwise the hotel is excellent. If you would like to rest and sleep then ask for a room that isn't facing the street.

A sophisticated and stylish hotel located in the heart of the city. We are a family of four and i was pregnant during our stay in Jan 2016 and they treated me with the most care. We arrived 6am and were given a 'temporary' room so my kids could rest and have a shower. They were exceptional with clean rooms and first class service. We were treated like royalty and we have booked to stay with them in July, 17. Just a beautiful group of people who make your stay memorable. Love the hotel :)
