Once in a lifetime stay in this magnificent hotel. Service was flawless: check in in one of the historic salons, we were given bottles of water because it was a hot day before even asking for them, everyone was very friendly. Very welcoming team. The hotel is in a beautiful historic property, which is definitely worth a visit. We had a tour of all the restaurants, the different historic rooms, the suite shangri-la which has a huge terrace with an amazing view of paris: from montmartre to the eif... Read more

Chapeau to Shangri La ! they have been able still to represent their identity even in such a different concept and location of what they are used to. Here we are not in HK, or any Asian city, where lobbies are majestic, spaces are huge, parking lots are everywhere.... club lounges are at the 50th floor, SPA and gyms are as big as the whole Paris hotel.... Here we are in the heart of PAris. The hotel itself is a piece of art architecturally.... the rooms are tiny, the lobby is warm, the gym cann... Read more

We travelled from Versailles to have breakfast at Shangri-La hotel and then later walk for lunch at the Eiffel Tower. We were welcomed immediately by all staff and had a wonderful breakfast, both extremely tasty and relaxing in the most beautiful of surroundings. No-one rushed us and everyone was ready with a warm smile.

We visited the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris for three nights last July preceding a Swiss hiking trip. The room we reserved and, briefly, checked in to was hands down the best view I've ever had with a HUGE bed and the Eiffel Tower directly over our balcony. Unfortunately, water started pouring from the ceiling shortly after we checked in and they had nothing similar to move us to. We ended up moving two more times as the second room faced the inside of the courtyard of this historic property. T... Read more

From the moment we walked in this hotel surpassed all we could have hoped for. Travelling with two kids aged 10 and 2 we were dubious as the hotel from all reviews looked very adult orientated. How wrong we were. This hotel went out of the way to look after our two little ones. Our room was decked out in balloons and special cookies and a lollie jar... at turn down a special set of bath toys were left and for dinner our youngest was presented with her very own monogramed bib... its the littl... We stayed at the Shangri la with three twenty something and two teen children and were treated as if we were the only guests in residence. Be sure to book the Eiffel Tower View room/suite, the views are unbeatable. The rooms are impeccably well appointed , it is all about understated luxury. Huge beds, generous pillows and butter soft sheets. The bathrooms are generous sized as well, especially for Paris, and you'll love the warmed towels. I recently visited Paris and was fortunate to stay at the Shangri La. I am a Golden Circle member and have stayed at other Shang's and they are all great hotels with amazing and attentive staff. The one in Paris however is step above. Rooted in French history the hotel is opulent and luxurious. What sets the Shangri La Paris apart is the staff and service they provide. I attended a company event here very recently. I must say the location was very central as it Eiffel Tower is very visible behind and the trocadero is not far away. Visited the restaurant today for Brunch. The hostess was courteous. The food was good but when it came to our waiter we felt as if we where invisible. Along with my meal I ordered coffee. He finally brought my coffee 10 minutes after I received my meal only because I had to remind him. I had two more cups of coffee but each time I had to ask him. If you want to watch the sun set over go on their beautiful terrace and feel the nature's perfection. We were there with our company for the Christmas dinner. The food here is AMAZING. I highly recommend the shrimp with red rice. We also had an entire duck (for 20 people) that was prepared with some spices and served in a small plate with some very good rice next to it. It's a bit expensive, but the it is worth it. This is my second time to stay in this hotel. A bit pricey but well worth it. It is off the hustle and bustle of touristy Paris but a good walking distance to Champs Elysee and the Eiffel Tower. It is a nice place to start your early morning jog to the Eiffel Tower before all the tourists come to desecrate this place.
