Although we had an apartment lined up in the Marais district we like this place and the neighborhood so much we booked a couple of night with them... The staff is casual and friendly and the rooms comfortable and good value in this spendy city... We grabbed croissant and coffee at the excellent bakery on the corner and saved a few euros on the breakfast.. The canal is quite close and it's an up and coming neighborhood with a good buzz and lots going on... Chez Prune is an excellent bar an... Read more

On my very first trip to Paris, I stayed at Hotel Le 20 Prieure. SInce I had never been to Paris before this trip, I just relied on the map and chose a hotel very accessible to metro stations and other amenities. It turns out the stations are much closer than I'd thought. The hotel is a short walking distance to Republique and Oberkampf (Oberkampf is a bit closer) so this is very convenient for travellers who prefer to save money and travel by train from the airport. ( I recommend going to Oberk... Read more

We were two adults and one child visiting Paris this spring. My son and I have visited before, but our friend was on her first visit. The hotel was picked as it was close to a Metro stop (La Republique and Oberkampf) and because the price was right. Wow, we lucked out! The hotel is set in the middle of a small side street off Rue de la Republique. Walking in you are greeting by a friendly staff member and a huge metal basket of green apples! My son befriended the staff as he proceeded to eat ap... Read more

First time staying in this hotel and we were very pleased with our stay. It is in a quiet street very close to Republique, perfect for transport, restaurants etc and not so touristy. The staff are friendly, familiar and helpful, the cleaning is good and everything works as it should. The rooms are small, but that is the same for pretty much all hotels in Paris in this class, and despite the small size we found our triple room comfortable enough for our needs, with room enough (just) for our lugg... First time in Paris and stayed in Hotel Le 20 Prieure. I love how close it is to the places you need to see in Paris, and the bars of course. There's a lot of convenience stores around if you need to buy things that you forgot to take with you. There's a nice bakery around the corner where you see locals buying their French breads - it's cool to see! There is also a huge gadget place (Darty) close by where you can buy your charger, power Bank etc - youll need one if you take too many photos. ... Read more

Great location, clean, friendly, convenient hotel to stay in while you're holidaying in Paris. We stayed here for 4 nights. Overall, I was impressed with this hotel, it definitely felt better than its rating of 3 stars. Pros: Good value accommodation in Paris. Friendly reception from the moment we arrived. Decent sized room that was clean with good natural lighting (including a balcony). We were also given free wifi - this is activated via a voucher for each device, good reliable connection. I ... We stayed in the wheelchair accessible room. It is easily accessible and has a courtyard which is not accessible. Make sure that you confirm the room on the ground floor when you you book. The hotel is in a good location near republic station and lots of restaurants and Boulangeries. We thought it was good value.

My friends and I stayed here during a very busy weekend for Paris. Naturally we were pleased to find a reasonably priced place to stay. I couldn't really find any major faults. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot with complimentary toiletries and the wifi was efficient. We were offered unlimited breakfast for 13?, however we decided this was a little steep, despite being all you can eat. The location of the hotel was handy, only a few metro stops from Gare de Nord. I would strongly c... Read more

My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful! I came to them for a last-minute reservation after having a safety problem at another hotel. The manager was especially helpful and a joy to work with---very kind and professional. The rooms (I had 2 rooms during my 9-day visit because the reservation was so last-minute) they gave me were very nice---clean and comfortable with very little noise from outside or inside the hotel could be heard. All of the staff were great! They got to know me persona... Read more

In the northern parts of Marais this beautiful hotel lies close to both restaurants and shopping. The centre of Paris is 20 minuttes on foot away through a very nice part of town. Room was clean and big for parisean standards. Staff was very helpful and service minded.

Seven friends stayed here in three twin and one single room for a birthday weekend in Paris. The area was recommended and now I can see why, so easy to get everywhere but also away from the tourist trap. Close to Republique metro but also the Canal St Martin with its lovely bars, also very easy to walk into the Marais. The rooms were very clean, staff extremely helpful and great value. I'd highly recommend if you're on a budget and happy with a three star hotel as extremely reasonable and in ... Read more
