I took put luck when choosing this hotel, as one often does when booking on the internet, but I won the jackpot. A friendly welcome, very friendly and helpful staff and a good location. The room was not large, but was more than adequate for out needs, clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom was spotless. My friend and I opted to pay extra for the breakfast which was well worth it. A small, quiet and relaxing hotel.

We booked this hotel at the last minute for one night, but extended it for three nights after going to the hotel. We loved it! The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room and bathroom was modern and clean. The location of the hotel was great, very close to several metro stops. We will definitely stay here again if we go to Paris.

I was visiting family with my father: 89 years of age with health problems. The staff could not have been more helpful. They were friendly and attentive without being over bearing or intrusive. This made what could have been a stressful three days very relaxing and easy.

Perfect location close to Place de la République, therefore a mere two minute walk to the subway that will take you to most places. still it is a quiet street, especially at night. We never had any nightly noise disturbances. The staff was super friendly and helpful. we caught some cold days, and they took care of the heating right away when we complained that ours wasn't working properly. also they let us have our room immediately although we arrived in the early morning. the hotel even offers... Small boutique style hotel, in a wonderful location near place de la republique. Never been to Paris before the hotel staff were very helpful in directing us from orly to the hotel issuing RER and metro. We arrived early on Saturday morning after a very early flight. Hotel seems to be getting some work when we were there, there was no explanation for this when we were checking in. Room was available immediately, much to our delight as we were very tired! Can't fault the room extremely comfort... Read more

I would give this hotel between 3 and 4 stars. We stayed here in late May for a few days and found the location to be convenient, the rooms were beautifully decorated and the staff was wonderful. The street the hotel is located on is pretty quiet at night and around the corner you can find plenty of restaurants but as someone else mentioned, the arch near the hotel was frequented by a group of men both nights of our stay and although we were in for the night, it was still a bit unnerving. A small, intimate boutique hotel with tastefully decorated rooms and personable staff. It's well located and convenient to two stops on the Paris metro. It's well-priced for its location and the room I had was reasonably sized. I did find however that the bathroom was a little dated and that's one area cleanliness can be improved upon. Nonetheless, an excellent choice for the city.

LOCATION. Good location for transport links, although we rarely took public transport as Paris is relatively compact and we like walking. The hotel is In a quiet street, but there were homeless people camped (permanently it seemed) just a few yards away. ROOM. We checked in with no problems. We went up to our floor and found that the cleaning staff was heading for the same room as us. So we stood outside for a few minutes while it was cleaned. The room was compact, not unexpected. Renovations were taking place all over the ground floor on the hotel and this information was not provided at the time I made the booking. On the first morning there was no hot water in the bathroom and after much checking I was asked to move to a different room with barely an apology. The move was made more difficult by the fact that the reception staff would take a very long time to answer the phone. In addition, two of the plug points in the room did not work. Any one of these experiences cou... Read more

If you stay in a double room, this hotel is fine. It is spotlessly clean, the staff are helpful and friendly. Do not, however, stay in a single room even if you are alone. I stayed for a few nights in a single room and it was so tiny, I had no where (literally) to put my suitcase down, so I kept it on the bed. The bathroom was so small I could hardly use it. However, when I moved to a double room, everything was fine. The breakfast is fine. It's convenient to transportation.

We spent two days at the hotel in June on our very first trip to Paris. The location was excellent. 15 min walk from the station and less than five minutes to the Metro. Very friendly staff and the room was well furnished.

On a positive note the room was spotless, lovely comfortable huge bed. WiFi in the room brilliant. We arrived 17 June for 5 nights, hotel brilliant location to the metro, canal and lovely eateries and bars. Upon arrival we discovered that the hotel was an abandoned building site. Notices informed us that renovations would be complete by the end of May, we checked bbc out 23 June, renovations no where nearly finished. The five days we stayed never did we see a builder! We were very disappointed t... Read more

Yes it's a little like a building site at the moment, and parts of the local area are a bit unprepossessing but the Taylor is a lovely little boutique hotel and the street itself is very pleasant. We had two very prettily decorated rooms with extremely comfy beds and a decent-sized bathroom. Lovely toiletries. We ate breakfast at a cafe as some of us wanted a cooked breakfast and as we hadn't got the 6? breakfast deal that goes with direct booking, this worked out cheaper for us. Metro v near.... Read more

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights visiting one of our daughters. The room we had T3 which was a fabulous room - open bathroom so only for couples who know eachother - really lovely room with robes, water, coffee machine... we didn't try the breakfast but all the staff were really friendly. Fabulously comfy big bed - slept very well and a nice quiet street near Republique. Would definitely recommend it.

At the moment the hotel is undergoing renovations the room was nice clean and comfortable, the lift is extremely small but works well, I emailed the hotel before I arrived a asking them to arrange parking for my car I was told no need as parking is available all around the hotel this proved very difficult. The hotel is very small and the shower was broken, a must for myself, overall will bet nice quiet and quaint when finished although I feel it was overpriced.

The bed was really comfy, the room was lovely and clean and well decorated and the shower was good. It was a very good price and in a place with great transport links and a carrefour 2 minutes away. The staff were lovely and although there's building work going on it doesn't interfere with your experience at all. Will absolutely stay here next time we're in paris!

We were going to the England v France Six Nations rugby game and decided to make a long weekend of it. We had stayed at the annexe to this hotel on a previous trip and really liked it. I think they have been doing renovations to absorb the annexe into the rest of the hotel. The rooms are small but not unusually so for European cities. There are some quirky design features which give the place some character rather than the soulless boxes you sometimes get. The lift just about fits 2 people and t... Read more

The Taylor was recommended by a friend as being attractively French, handy to transport and reasonably priced. This was the case. As other contributors have mentioned, renovations are underway but this didn't affect our stay. Our room was small but comfortable, the bathroom generous by comparison. The lift holds two people but I doubt two suitcases would also fit. But this is Paris, and that's how things are. Breakfast was great, served off the lobby area and all cold food. Cereals, juices, past... Read more

One of the best stays in Paris. Close to the Metro and Replublic. We did use the bikes to go around in Paris and it's great. Hotel is in a quite street with loads of restaurants nearby. So that makes it even better. Good basic breakfast. Great room. Not to big but not to small!! Super friendly staff members. Their English is super.

This little boutique hotel is slightly off the main streets but well worth the effort of finding yet still near to both Gare du Nord and Gare de l'este and several metro stations. Walking distance to many many cafes and restaurants. The rooms are smallish but definitely not as minuscule as the ones I stayed in in London recently. Comfy king bed. Bathroom was a decent size, plenty of towels, complimentary toiletries. Kettle with tea/coffee in the room and free wi-fi. It's not a hotel to lounge a... Read more
