We recently stayed at Hotel Montalembert for our anniversary and it was such a treat. While it might not be the fanciest 5 star hotel in that part of Paris, it is charming with lovely features and a really lovely staff. Pascal (I believe he was the evening reception / concierge) really went out of his way to make our stay special. He always remembered our names and greeted us in the evenings, directed us to a couple great restaurants, etc. Every person at the hotel was friendly, helpful and real... Read more

1. The room was just fine. I'm confident the rooms will be better after the renovation. Bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and it was well stocked with all neccesities and then some. 2. The Continental breakfast was very good and more than adequate. 3. The location is fantastic for those wanting to do many of the "tourist things." Notre Dame, Louve, Orsay, Orangerie, Rodin, etc. are all within walking distance. There is a Metro station just around the corner. The shops on St. Germaine... Read more

This is a lovely, intimate hotel. The location is perfect, the staff is attentive, helpful and friendly. Lobby is small and engaging. Groceries across from front of hotel. Hotel is in renovation but still open at 1/3rd of rooms as of May 2016. Concierges are incredible - above and beyond in helping in every way. I will be back!

This hotel is a loud smelly mess right now. Steer clear until it's finished. I hate when hotels put you in construction zones with no offer to reduce rate or upgrade--or better--a warning in advance. Won't be coming back to this hotel. Au revoir Hotel M.

I love this hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The location is the best, unique boutiques, quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Rooms are big and clean, also with great style. The food is also very good...they have a restaurant as well as room service.

May, 2017: I still love this hotel. 3rd time staying here. Renovation has begun, but I feel it may take some time. The beautiful terrace is somewhat disassembled but still usable. As always, the staff is outstanding. Kind, helpful, engaging. Continental breakfast is very good - especially the little shot glass of detox!! Concierge staff truly wonderful. Our room was more than fine - comfortable beds. Monoprix across the street is very convenient for the odd bandaid or bottle of rose. ... Read more

If you enjoy walking Paris then this hotel is perfect, tucked away on a side street in Saint-Germain district, 7th arr. that is maximum 20 minutes to the best Paris has to offer on both banks. My husband, adult son and I were here for 3 three days before heading out to Normandy. The staff was delightful - from the front desk, to the lovely staff that kept our rooms clean, all were lovely. We were always greeted with smiles and all were so patient as we tried our our limited French; the staff spoke quite good English and other languages, too. The rooms were clean and the lobby was always pleasant. Benjamin Leclerc, the Chef Concierge, was superior in all respects - quick to offe... Read more

Service here is nothing short of excellent. From the moment I arrived until I departed I felt welcomed by staff who seemed to want to do everything they could to make me comfortable and happy and to be sure I had a pleasant stay. Everyone, including front desk, housekeeping, restaurant staff offered to help with anything I needed or wanted. During our recent stay at the Hotel Montalembert our adjoining rooms smelled of paint from the moment you entered the room and the adjoining doors still had wet paint which came off on our hands and clothes - surprising indeed. Perhaps the fact that we needed to open the windows to breath caused the air conditioning/heat not to properly function but at night when the windows were closed, we roasted. Not an enjoyable experience at all.

We stayed here on a romantic weekend in Paris. It is a well kept nice hotel in a very central location to everything. The negative points and the reason for only 4/5 was the room was tiny and we had a view of the back yard and backs of properties. On the positive the staff were ultra friendly and helpful and the room amenities were excellent. It is typical of a capital city hotel and provides everything you need for a short stay in Paris

This hotel is not a 5 stars hotel. The service is the worst I have ever seen in my life. Be careful because you may book a room and get a room that is not from the category you paid for. They do not have house keeping service after 7 pm, so if you need towels, toilet paper ... or whatever you need no one will help you. And that can be ok if you have a simple problem but if the toilet doesn't works or you need a another blanket because you are cold, you are not going to have a good night at al... Read more

I'm fortunate to stay at the Hotel Montalembert a few times a year for business. It's a fantastic boutique luxury hotel that has earned my loyalty. First of all, the service at this hotel is superlative. Every staff person, from the housecleaning team to the restaurant staff, and most of all the excellent concierge and front desk team, are extremely warm and total professionals. We spent a long weekend in the Hotel Montalembert in Paris this spring. It was a birthday treat and my first time in Paris. We chose the location as it was within walking distance of loads of "must-do" attractions and on the basis of the reviews we had read. It is not my first time in this hotel, but surely one of the best. The hotel has been renovated, but still kept original designs of Christian Liaigre. The management and all the staff cares very much about quality service and privacy of the guests. Ask for renovated rooms, enjoy fabulous snack and a glass of champagne in the restaurant and a cup of coffee in the veranda - and you will soon fall in love with left river side and this cosy place!!!

I've been to Paris more times than I can count (business and leisure) and have stayed in various Arr in the city. I booked Montalembert on the recommendation of a colleague and I have to say every aspect of this hotel hit my holiday sweet spot; the location, the staff, the decor, and the service. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Lovely!

Fabulous location! Just off the beaten track but yet in the middle of it all! Steps from the Seine on the Left Bank. Excellent shopping, every brand you would want to shop in a less manic environment than the flagship locations on the Right Bank. This hotel is a gem.

I highly recommend the Hotel Montalembert. We just got back from Paris and had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The hotel was able to accommodate our request for an early check in as we had an overnight flight from the states. Our room was bright and decorated in a contemporary motif. There was ample closet and drawer space. The staff was cheerful and helpful. The continental breakfast was a perfect way to start the day. Best of all is the location. This is my first review that I have ever taken the time to post on trip advisor. We absolutely love this hotel! This is my favorite place to call home when I am in Paris. It is in the heart of all the arts, cafes, restaurants and galleries. The left bank is humming! This is a chic boutique hotel where luxury and perfection have been achieved. Service is superior, you want for nothing. Each of my many stays have been better than ever. Can't wait to get back. I stayed the first night of my recent Paris trip in this wonderful hotel, where I have stayed several times before. I keep thinking the location is exceptional, the new rooms petite, but Sooo cosy, they literally just finished renovating the hotel and I have to say, the best staff ever! The restaurant seems to be very trendy, quite a few very well known people, I secretly loved it!! I highly recommend it!!

The hotel was renovated in January. We split our stay in Paris in Sept-Oct into two sessions around a diversion to southern France. Our first stay was in an executive suite which is beautifully modernized with wood trim, two TV's, exquisite bathroom fixtures, built-in closets (no more armoires), expresso machine (all rooms have one) and furniture coordinated with the architect's wall, trim and bed decor. Our second stay was in a deluxe superior room of similar renovation, but of course still ... Read more

I was returning to the Hotel Montalembert for the first time since I first came to Paris in 1952. The concierge, M.
