This is a nice hotel, perhaps too big. The best characteristic is its location. The breakfast service was good, with a lot of options. We had a bedroom for 2 adults + our two children, it was very big and confortable, although the bathroom could be better.

We had a huge suite at the front of the hotel facing the Place de la Republique. Nice to watch the hustle and bustle of daily life from the windows. Was it noisy - no, not at all with the window shut outside noise could not be heard. Staff and service very good. Excellent location for getting out and seeing Paris on foot or to go to Metro etc Nice little park a short walk at the back. I would definitely stay here again.

This was a nice hotel and fitted our requirements of 3 adults in 1 room with 2 double beds. It was clean and quiet because we had a room on the back. Not the hotels fault but beware, Republique is the focus of all protests in Paris. There were demonstrations every day/night. The worst of which was the day we left when we couldn't get back to the hotel to get our bags as the whole square was guarded by armed police and there was a full on demo going on. I therefore wouldnt book this hotel again... Read more

I stayed here as a part of a graduate school study abroad trip to Paris for a few days. The hotel is centrally located with great access to transportation and a close walk to great shopping and restaurants. I have a disability that requires the use of a wheelchair and a room that is completely accessible. This hotel did not disappoint in that area and the room was perfectly accessible for me, including the shower and layout of the bathroom. The room was clean and quiet with comfortable beds. B... After umpteen trips to Paris, by chance we made our reservation at the Crowne Plaza Paris Republique. And while Paris was already our favorite city in the world, our stay there simply added to the luster. The Place de la Republique is fun, and provides good observation of the locals, not to mention realizing that this is spot where the world experienced "Je suis Charlie!" The side streets are full of interesting stores and cafes and the Canal Saint Martin is easily accessible. Best of all is... Read more

It's a nice hotel but not so perfect. Most of the staff looks unhappy and cold. I liked our Club Room. So clean but a bit cold cause of weather during our stay and they provide us a heater. It's beside the beautiful republique square. So close to everywhere in Paris! We went to most of the sites just by walking. Generally I was satisfied with my staying in this hotel.

Travelled on business and have to say that it was a disappointing venue despite being in such a grand location. The hotel staff do not warn you about the nightly protests in the square opposite so when you start to see the crowds gather and the CRS riot squads arrive you get a little alarmed - however it is more of a spectator sport than it is civil unrest, so it is an interesting view, albeit one that is unexpected! The food in the hotel was of average quality only, the prices for drinks and ac... Read more

In all fairness this hotel does it's very utmost to please all guests. I have read remarks about the demonstrations etc but the hotel is absolutely safe and doing fine delivering the Crowne plaza brand promise. Location is not only spot when looking for a lively place with hustle&bustle of day-to-day Parisian live but also perfect to explore Paris by public transport or on foot. We stayed in this hotel for five days. We were allowed to check-in four hours earlier free of charge. The lady at the reception was extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was in a very good shape and spacious. The breakfast was great. The location is ideal. The subway station is steps away. The city tour bus station is also within a two-minute walk. Unfortunately, the hotel had no swimming pool, but that is rare in Western Europe. I strongly recommend it.

I was here for five nights and ended up having two different rooms. First room overlooked plaza de republique which was nice until the protests start and don't end until 2-3 in the morning--impossible to sleep with the horns going on, music, etc. Ended up moving rooms on night 3 at 2:00AM. Second room was quiet--so ask for something away from the plaza. The bar service is SLOW but they have a nice patio out front to sit. I spent a week at the Crown Plaza Republiqe together with a large number of colleagues of mine. My experience with the hotel hasn't been an exciting one.... The staff are very helpful especially the concierge we had lots off luggage and boxes due to a business trip, and they helped us take everything to our room. The rooms are very small, we was on the fourth floor which has been apparently renovated quite recently. The windows are horribly thin, 3 nights out of our 4 night stay we were woken up by loud shouting screaming from people leaving bars across the street. My first review of this place was removed because I used some actual correspondence with the hotel regarding the disappointing stay. Do not stay here. This hotel choice was one of the worst mistakes I've ever made in booking a hotel in a lifetime of traveling. Both my wife and daughter ended up with insect bites over their arms and legs. Coincidentally, they were sharing a bed. Sounds like bedbugs to me despite the hotel's repeated insistence that it was not. To make matters worse, in both the... Read more

Fantastic trip and the hotel could not be placed any better, in Place de la Republique, where six metro lines stop hence you are only few minutes from almost anywhere in Paris. Notre Dame, and the Louvre are within walking distance and there is a very spacious car park (if you are travelling by car like we did) just behind the hotel although it's not free. We were also lucky to find a good offer so the stay was also very good value for money.

I've stayed here a few times in its various guises - as it is now a Crowne Plaza I figured it would be OK to host my "50th" with 33 guests. The "banqueting" department is slightly out of control. Charging over ?1300 for a dinner in a restaurant that was actually closed and demanding I got all 33 guests to choose an exact course 10 days before even turning up.
